Twin Lakes RV Park, Cumming, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Twin lakes is neither a good or bad park, it's not really an RV park, but is more similar to a mobile home park. Absolutely no amenities or facilities available. Electrical service is iffy at best, so be sure you have surge protection on your coach. Tight sites, grass & weeds growing through the gravel and there is no policing of resident's sites and many are cluttered with junk. It's primary benefit is that it is literally the only park with FHU sites in the area and the owners capitalized on this by raising the monthly rates by 25% over our visit last year with zero improvements Of services or amenities. The current owner seems to have little interest in their guests. We camped at Twin Lakes RV Park in a Motorhome.

Campbell's Green Oasis Campground, Greybull, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small 15 site campground located on one of the several routes to Yellowstone & Grand Teton NPs. It shaded, grassy sites vary in size, but several will accommodate the largest rigs. We stayed in 43' Fifth wheel, towing a Honda CR-V, pulled by a Dodge Ram dually measuring 80'. They have no cable or OTA TV, but there's a Red Box 2 blocks away. It's nice park with have basic full hookup amenities. We camped at Campbell's Green Oasis Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Peter D's RV Park, Sheridan, Wyoming

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice park, owned and managed by two wonderful hosts. It is just off I-90 & centrally located to historic Sheridan. The facilities are clean and overall the park is well maintained. We stayed in the park for 2 ½ months. The owners grow fresh veggies that are given away to campers. The only knock on the park, keeping it from earning a 9 or 10 rating, is the very narrow campsites. In many instances, some sites are so tight you're unable to opening awnings fully. Also, while the majority of the sites are long enough for the RV and tow vehicle, keeping a double tow (truck, fifth wheel & second car/trailer/boat) hooked up is definitely out. Otherwise, it's a great RV park. We camped at Peter D's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

A Prairie Breeze RV Park, Menoken, North Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Great location, just 12 miles East of Bismarck with wide open spaces. It's a self pay park with no onsite personnel. Good utilities, nice long sites and particularly suitable for longer stays. It's right off of I-94. We camped at A Prairie Breeze RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Camping World Racing Resort (formerly Charlotte Motor Speedway CG), Concord, North Carolina

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park with open, graveled sites, very close to the Charlotte Motor Speedway on Bruton Smith Blvd. It is actually located on the speedway property next to Tom Johnson Camping Center sales and service center. They are wide long pull-throughs. The only downside to staying there is you have to vacate the property every time the is an event at the speedway, unless you are willing to pay $100.00 per night for the blackout period (assuming there is a site available). We camped at Camping World Racing Resort (formerly Charlotte Motor Speedway CG) in a Fifth Wheel.

Heartland Resort, Greenfield, Indiana

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is an aging large park conveniently located off of I-70, approximately 14 miles East of Indy. The place is okay, but needs work.

Stayed on a monthly basis. Must mow your own lot. The utilities were dependable. Don't expect much help from the folks who work there. We camped at Heartland Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

Stayed at Apollo from May through July & October on a monthly basis. The park is well operated. Primarily a monthlies park, but very scenic and clean. The owners are very nice folks. Request a paved site as most are grassy sites. We camped at Apollo RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Crown Cove RV Park (formerly Crown International Campground), Fort Mill, South Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Beware of this campground. They misrepresent things when making a reservation and are argumentative when attempting to sort things out. We made a reservation, explaining to 2 individuals that we have a large fifth wheel (43') and needed a sizable, easily accessible site. We had originally planned to stay for at least 3 months. We drove 8 hours before arriving at the park, arriving to: 1. A truck was parked in the site. 2. The site was impossible to get into. Since it was after hours, we left and went to a KOA. The manager has refused to refund our money & misstated the facts when telling us we were wrong. At the time we made the reservation, we were told this was the only site available and we would definitely fit in it. Plus we were told the site had been completely redone (not the case). All the sites are poorly positioned, unlevel, very narrow. The place looks like a working man's workcamp and is poorly maintained with no policing of the residents or grounds. We suppose they needed our money more that we did. Please beware of this place and the manager. This is the former Praise Hollow campground at the defunct Heritage USA (PTL) resort. I guess the mindset has changed dramatically. We camped at Crown Cove RV Park (formerly Crown International Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Great value and a nice quiet country setting. The owner is very nice. Not sure why another reviewer would rate the park unfavorably, but some can be difficult to please. We stayed in 43' rig. We camped at Twin Lakes Catfish Farm and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
