Shore Hills Campground and RV Park, Boothbay, Maine

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is set on a hillside, with a beautiful water view at the bottom of the hill and a babbling brook going down the south side of the park. These sites in the wooded hillside are for 30 amp or less and smaller rigs. We needed full hookups and 50 amp so we were in in the open field close to the highway. Noise from the highway was not too objectionable since the pond has a fountain that mostly disguises the road traffic noise. The park is well maintained with paved and hard gravel roads. The sites are level and also gravel. Most seem free from overhanging branches. Some of the turns are a little tight but with care and calculating are fine. The camp is only 3 miles to town and they have a shuttle. We camped at Shore Hills Campground and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Mountain Vista Campground, East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a mountain campground with Level sites terraced in the mountain side. The sites are pea gravel under the rig with some grass and pea gravel on the remainder of the site. Road ways are gravel. There is plenty of natural vegetation between sites to offer some privacy without being jungle like. Lovely pool and plenty of activities for kids but quiet enough for adults. The owners are super nice and helpful. The only negative I found was the laundry room which was dusty and full of dead bugs. I took my own cleaning towels to wipe it down and all was OK after that. We camped at Mountain Vista Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Red Apple Campground, Arundel, Maine

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

Paved roads and pads for the RV. Grass around the site was good. Sites are level and a good deal of space in between sites. There are a lot of full time trailers here. Probably mostly summer homes considering this is Maine. A lot of activities in the area. Management/owners are super helpful, competent and friendly. They are the best asset here. We camped at Red Apple Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Yogi Bear's Sturbridge Jellystone Park, Sturbridge, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $78.00
Overall Rating:

Dirt roads through out the park, no gravel at all. There were open sewer pipes with no covers on empty site sewer connections. It rained while we were here and there were huge puddles everywhere. The park is not engineered to drain water from the roads and sites. This park is stupidly expensive. We camped at Yogi Bear's Sturbridge Jellystone Park in a Fifth Wheel.
