Lake Louisa State Park, Clermont, Florida

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first stay at Lake Louisa. We took some time to visit and geocache. There were many to choose from but we choose to stay close to the main road. The sites certainly have room between them and offer some shade. We stayed in #37 with full hookups. TV reception from both Tampa and Orlando. The bathhouse was close and very clean. We will certainly return. We camped at Lake Louisa State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We tracked north to DreamCatcher Hourse farm and rescue. Amazing hour long ride that even took us into the lake. Clermont is a small town but many of the conveniences of a bigger city Wal Mart, Publix, etc. it's a growing suburb of Lake Buena Vista but still quiet enough to enjoy.

Sun-N-Fun RV Resort, Sarasota, Florida

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This was our annual Park N Leave stay at Sun-N-Fun. The pool, slide and water obstacle course were the kids' favorites. The pool bar was friendly welcome for food, snacks, soda and adult drinks. There are so many activities during theme weekends for the summer, it kept us busy. Even with the rain on most days, we had no problem at our site being on grass. Sad to say though, more park models are being installed and taking up these kind of sites. We enjoy it here. We camped at Sun-N-Fun RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Sarasota is very close by and great for day trips. We always try to see a movie downtown. Mote Marine laboratory is also close by. Those looking to shop have St. Armand's Circle for the eclectic shops and dining. Venture up one exit to the new mall on University Blvd to University Town Center. Fine dining and major anchor stores.

Jetty Park Campground, Cape Canaveral, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

This was our second trip to this park. The have made upgrades to the interior roads so they are easy to navigate. Sites were a bit close but enough room for our trailer with two slides and full hook-ups. Parked our trailer on the slab provided so it was nice and level. Beach access is included with stay and there is a nice fishing pier. During the weekends, many of the cruise ships come and go so it's nice to wave to and hear their horns go off as they leave port. Playground is also very close but in the open sun. We will return to Jetty Park. We camped at Jetty Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Rainbow Springs State Park, Dunnellon, Florida

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We have been to the park many times and it has yet to disappoint. Chrystal clear spring fed river to swim in and tube down right at the campground. Plenty of room between sites. The campground store has basic needs. We camped at Rainbow Springs State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, Lake Buena Vista, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $114.00
Overall Rating:

This is only our second time here (previous trip 2008) and the kids enjoyed it. Our campsite was amazing (#541) and close to Pioneer Hall and water transport. We were only here for a weekend and there are so many things to do around the camp, we ran out of time. Visited the Tri-Circle D ranch near Pioneer hall to see where they keep the horses used at Magic Kingdom. We took a day trip, via water and bus transport to Downtown Disney. Glad we did with all the construction. Had dinner at the Hoop-Dee-Doo review - Kids and I loved it. Only downfall is no clear site selection unless you call ahead to check in and give specific needs - Dog, Awning, slides, etc. Some of the older rustic equipment is gone - Mouse Ear lamp posts. We will go back but for a longer stay in the future. We camped at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Downtown Disney - Use the Disney Transportation due to construction at the location. Trying to self park will take an additional hour.

O'Leno State Park, High Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Love this state park! Site was a pull through and there was plenty of room between all sites. This park sits on the Santa Fe River just north of High Springs and is close to other sites - springs, towns etc. Kids loved the nature center (open Sat and Sun) and the nature trail along the river. Will return again. We camped at O'Leno State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tropical Palms Resort and Campground, Kissimmee, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $84.00
Overall Rating:

This was our first visit to the resort. It does have that resort feeling with all the cottages and park models around. Our site was central to all the amenities - office, pool, and laundry facilities, and the rate was discounted for Florida residents. The turn into the sites, including ours, was tight with ruts in the grass/dirt at the right hand side coming in and left hand side going out. Plenty of clearance inside the resort. We enjoyed staying here and will return. We camped at Tropical Palms Resort and Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Sun-N-Fun RV Resort, Sarasota, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2015 - $88.00
Overall Rating:

We have come to this park many times and enjoyed every stay. The kids love it and stay busy in the pool, mini-golf, shuffleboard, etc. The only negatives: the Wi-Fi is spotty at best; landscaping is a bit run down. During the summer we take advantage of their Park-N-Leave program and pay by the month and stay any 12 nights. Looking forward to future visits. We camped at Sun-N-Fun RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Orlando / Kissimmee KOA, Kissimmee, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2015 - $84.00
Overall Rating:

We love this park and have stayed many times. The sites are a bit tight to get into and the travel directions on roads inside the park are a bit confusing. We had to drive against traffic to get into our site. We had a concrete pad and patio with fire pit (which we did not use). Kids love the dog park and playground. We camped at Orlando / Kissimmee KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Stone Mountain Park Campground, Stone Mountain, Georgia

Date of Stay: December, 2014 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

This is Georgia's version of Fort Wilderness in Florida! Our third time here and it didn't disappoint. Staff treats you like family! We had the Snow Mountain Camping package - tickets to Stone Mountain during their Snow events, two nights of camping (we stayed four), firewood and s'mores. Great value and fun. Took day trips into Atlanta and surrounding areas. Will return for more memories and fun! We camped at Stone Mountain Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.
