Overall Rating:

Nice little park, very clean with level sites and easy to get in and out. The owner is great - very friendly and helpful. Everything worked fine. Would definitely stay again if we were in the area. We camped at Benchmark RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Chattanooga North / Cleveland KOA, Cleveland, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Off the I-75 a couple of miles - the first thing you encounter is a huge pothole in the entrance which the staff says is the county's responsibility. I would throw some gravel in there if it were me since it's a first impression. Seems an older park and the roads are narrow and tight with lots of trees. Our space #9 required us backing up a hill and it's not level - it backed up to the road with cars passing most of the night. The showers were clean but dated - VERY small space and slippery tile. A bar stool is in each shower which was too high to be used to sit on if needed. The nearest grocery store is about 7 miles away although there's a Pilot travel center right down the street. Generally it was an OK park but we'd stay elsewhere next time. We camped at Chattanooga North / Cleveland KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Riverside Campground & Resort, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

One of our favorite parks in our experience -this was our third stay and we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. Very convenient to the I-40 and to the Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge attractions yet snuggled next to the Little Pigeon River. So peaceful! Level spots - lots of pull-throughs. Everything worked great except the wifi - we have stayed in the front area previously where it worked great - this time in the back and couldn't get on at all. Most spots have cement patio and interior roads are good. Staff is friendly and helpful. Stay for the Sunday service! We camped at Riverside Campground & Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Tanglewood Park Campground, Clemmons, North Carolina

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

After reading reviews we were a bit concerned but visiting family in the area it was the closest park. It was wonderful! We got the only pull-through site which was much longer than our truck/trailer and pretty level. Some sites are not very level front to back so be sure to ask for level site. Beautiful trees shade the spots but don't interfere with roads or site accessibility. Championship golf course nearby with reasonable green fees. Close to shopping. Lovely wooded walk to a stable nearby and botanical gardens. We could have stayed longer if we hadn't been heading back home. We'll be back! We camped at Tanglewood Park Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Americamps RV Resort (formerly Richmond North / Americamps KOA), Ashland, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This was our third stay here and everything was great especially the staff. We reserved a week online but they called the next day that we wouldn't be able to stay that long as the park was full on the weekend. By the time we got there a few hours later they had figured it out and we had a great site near the rec room/showers. Free waffles in the morning and dinner Thursday nights - ice cream social on Sunday nights. Peaceful park although next to the freeway never heard a sound. Paved roads, level sites. AT&T phones worked fine as did the wifi & cable TV. Highly recommend! We camped at Americamps RV Resort (formerly Richmond North / Americamps KOA) in a Travel Trailer.

Adventure Bound Camping Resorts (formerly Duncan's), Lothian, Maryland

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for about 10 days as repairs were being made on our trailer. Two days we stayed in a cabin as the repairs couldn't be done on site. I have to say the staff went out of their way to help us out and worked with us giving us reduced rate on the cabin as well. Some of the best customer service we've ever had. That being said the park itself is in transition and we could tell they've been working hard. The park is mostly permanent to semi-permanent and unlike other reviewers we didn't see any separation. The space next to us was full of trash but we were told that the guy had issues and we didn't understand his situation. There were quite a few like that but others were neat and tidy. The location is good and very convenient to shopping, gas, etc. About 20 minutes to Metro station. We camped at Adventure Bound Camping Resorts (formerly Duncan's) in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Although it was supposed to be a pull-through we couldn't pull-through because of other campers with trailers on their site. Lots of roots in the ground making it hard to be level.

Boston / Cape Cod KOA, Middleboro, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $57.00
Overall Rating:

This was our third stay at this campground and I'm not sure what's happened but things seem to have gone downhill. We stayed during the KOA free night which might be why it was so crowded so we only got a water/electric spot. It was not at all level and had lots of roots on dirt. Using the showers in the main building was odd because the shower head was on the side you walk in on so you have to get wet to turn on the shower. There's another shower for full-hookup sites which is better. As mentioned by other campers there are no rules enforced. On the Saturday night there were cars and trucks parked everywhere; some as many as four to a site. There's plenty of overflow parking but seems people don't want to walk. One couple waved through our door as they cut through our site. People across from us seemed to be long-term with large outside TV (loud) and a large black dog that barked a lot and often was off leash. Lots of trees but none that prevented backing in although the road was not in good condition. It is convenient to shopping and freeways and about halfway between Cape Cod and Boston. The wifi worked OK. Ask for a space along the back row which are full-hookups. We camped at Boston / Cape Cod KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Peyton's Woods RV Park & Campground, Twillingate, Newfoundland

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We were visiting Twillingate because my husband's grandmother was born there which we explained to the owner when we booked in. She gave us great information on people she knew related in the area. Our site was pretty level and close to the office and showers. Great view from our site! They are busy with improvements so trucks were a bit noisy but not intolerable. Easy walk to the cove with fantastic views. Sadly we were not there during iceberg season. The wifi was non-existent as mentioned in other reviews and no TV at all but it was nice to be "unconnected" for a few days. We camped at Peyton's Woods RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Grand Codroy RV-tent Camping Park, Doyles, Newfoundland

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is the closest park to the ferry to Nova Scotia so usually very busy. Lovely location with some nice views. Be sure to follow directions on their website instead of GPS as it can easily be missed. Sites are level and everything worked great. The owner even went with us & some other RVers to a performance of local singers. There's a craft shop on the premises with lovely hand-made items. We camped at Grand Codroy RV-tent Camping Park in a Travel Trailer.

Saco / Old Orchard Beach KOA, Saco, Maine

We stayed here overnight in a pull-through with full service. Very convenient to shopping and Old Orchard Beach. They have a cafe which serves breakfast off season and lunch added during the season. Everything worked great; nice level spot. The roads have a lot of trees so can be tight. Staff is friendly and helpful. We camped at Saco / Old Orchard Beach KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Bangor / Holden KOA (formerly Red Barn Campground), Holden, Maine

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here twice; once on the way into Canada and again on our return. Very nice camp and super staff. Our first visit we only had water & electricity and the site was a bit tight but on the return trip we had a full-hookup pull through and it was great. The only tricky thing is turning left into the campground from the road as it's very busy. We were there in off-season but they have a nice store and looks like a cafe. We camped at Bangor / Holden KOA (formerly Red Barn Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Naples KOA Campground (formerly Naples Campground), Naples, Maine

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the nicest RV parks we've ever stayed in! Huge level sites with tables, fire pit and lots of room for gazebo, chairs, or whatever you'd like outside. Owners are the nicest people AND they make homemade moon pies for sale in the little cafe. We had a bit of trouble with the wifi and they went out of their way to make sure things were good. Great cable! Nice large pool and close to town. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend. We camped at Naples KOA Campground (formerly Naples Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Sturbridge RV Resort (formerly Sturbridge Outdoor World Campground), Sturbridge, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

Sadly we didn't check on RVParkreviews before booking this park. It is now called Sturbridge RV Resort. Close to the highway but that's where it ends for positive experience. The the roads are tight and bumpy - it took us 1/2 hour to get into our site which was the tightest we've ever experienced. The side of our trailer was damaged by the neighbor's awning. The unit behind us was less than 10" from ours. We had to park our truck on the side with our awning and hardly had room to open the door. We couldn't extend our slides fully. We asked about WIFI and employee said "You can try it but it doesn't work." Since they stated WIFI on their website we asked in the office and were told we could pay extra to use it in the office. There are many seasonal units that are trashy. The people behind us had a campfire on the ground with no firepit - no supervision in the park at all. Assuming most people staying were Thousand Trails members and didn't pay much to stay; one family coming in were given a smaller spot than us and were told they overbooked so that's all they had. Very poorly run park. We camped at Sturbridge RV Resort (formerly Sturbridge Outdoor World Campground) in a Travel Trailer.

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is our second stay here and we love this park. We had a pull-through that wasn't quite level but when we mentioned it they said they'd be fixing it thanks to us letting them know. They have newly remodeled bathrooms that are great! Easy in and out sites - everything worked great including the cable and wifi. Nice lake with ducks and Canada geese plus they make fudge and freshly-scooped ice cream in the office. Very convenient to shopping and restaurants - a few miles down the road is Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the village of Hudson. Nice quiet area, too! We camped at Streetsboro / Cleveland SE KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Detroit Greenfield RV Park, Ypsilanti, Michigan

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed for two days before visiting family in Canada. When we made the reservation we were told it was a nice spot by the lake. Check in was easy and staff seemed friendly. Getting into our site was not. Trees are close by and road had tight turns. Having a 33' trailer, which we explained when we booked, it was difficult to get into. Upon leaving we had to pull through the site across from us as we were unable to make the turn onto the "road' in front of us. The site was level and did back up to the lake however it had a view of the owners back yard with their dog. They also have chickens clucking, feathers all over and, of course, the roosters crowing. There is a nature walk around the lake and it's pretty quiet area. Stores and gas are convenient. I don't think we'd stay again because of the site we were given. We camped at Detroit Greenfield RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
