Trailer Inns RV Parks, Spokane Valley, Washington

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice people. Tidy park. Shade trees, grass between sights. Playground! Next to interstate but we did NOT hear road noise. Only a couple 50amp @ $45. Most are 30amp and we were darn lucky it wasn't in the 90s like the week before! Claim pull thrus are 55' but everything is so narrow and tight and parking in streets that they should not accept anything over 38 and it's still tight to get your truck or toad in with you! Lousy wifi. Nice people but we won't be back with our 43' mh. We camped at Trailer Inns RV Parks in a Motorhome.

Shelby RV Park & Resort, Shelby, Montana

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

We found five campgrounds in Shelby and this one is the best. Convenient to highways and best price for diesel is the truck stop just north, on our way back to highway. Check-in is at Comfort Inn and they couldn't be more accommodating! Very nice people. Level gravel sites, both back-in and pull-thru. Good Verizon. Very good free wifi and cable! Shelby is a train town and I did hear one in the night. We camped at Shelby RV Park & Resort in a Motorhome.

Elk Meadow Lodge & RV Resort, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

DIRT ROADS so dust ALL the time. Many unlevel sites. Upper bath house closed. We are 45' RV and they put us in 30 amp! They acknowledged their error with our reservation and apologized but offered nothing more. Office mgr checked and said there wasn't anyone in 50amp to switch us with. Told us 40' and over go in 50amp but that day a 38' mh with one a/c pulled in to the 50amp row. And then they departed the same day as us! The campground was never full the four nights we stayed. Many rigs departed with us on Sunday. We asked if we could depart at noon rather than 11 and were told for $25 we could stay until 2pm. This campground just wants money. No customer service. They need to do some grading to level the tiered sites and then re-gravel. Seems the owner is just taking profit and not re-investing. VERY unhappy with our stay. Staff apologetic but owner could care less. We camped at Elk Meadow Lodge & RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Terry Bison Ranch Resort, Cheyenne, Wyoming

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Only one exit from i25 and 2 miles on frontage to get to campground. Easy drive around campground to site but VERY narrow sites. Slide extended out over the weathered picnic table that was just a nuisance and in the way. Dog piles all around. Hate that! Could not connect to wifi with any of our three devices. Ok for one night at the half price PA rate but won't return. We camped at Terry Bison Ranch Resort in a Motorhome.

45' motorhome and fit just fine. Good wifi and nice people. Sites are close together but cement and grass with picnic table were great. Only negative was train whistle but that's expected! Stayed 3 nights and will stay again. We camped at Lazy R Campground in a Motorhome.

Fort Caspar Campground, Casper, Wyoming

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Congenial staff. Park is located on gravel road behind the museum but we were able to get in with 45' motorhome just fine. Gravel level pull-through site. Free Wi-Fi was satisfactory. Slow at times but my Verizon hotspot worked great. We didn't bother with the free cable as office said they were still working on it. We received a dozen stations over the air very clear.

No road noise. A lot of permanent rigs but park quite quiet. We stayed 2 nights. We camped at Fort Caspar Campground in a Motorhome.

National Historic Trails Interpretive Center is fantastic! $6 adult and we spent 2 hours. Good meal at Sherrie's Place, short drive to 310 West Yellowstone Hwy. Drove up Casper Mountain to Rotary Park and enjoyed time at the beautiful waterfall.

Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park, Mitchell, South Dakota

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Easy access from I-90 with our 45' motorhome and tow car. Winter rate with self check-in and restroom/shower closed although laundry room was open. All sites are pull thru and pretty level. Snowing in Blk Hills so we sat here a few days to wait for weather to pass. Free cable tv and really good FREE wifi so a comfortable stay. Heard one train in the day and none at night. There was noise with engine brakes at interstate exit but we've experience much noisier. We camped at Super 8 Motel / R & R Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Cabela's, Menards, Walmart, Kmart are all at this exit. Must drive into town to see the Corn Palace! Good breakfast at very reasonable prices at Rita's on north side of town at the bowling alley. It wasn't on Yelp but campground host told us about it.

Westwick Motel & RV Park, Sioux Falls, South Dakota

Date of Stay: May, 2015 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We came in because of the Passport America discount but promptly left. We travel full time in our RV and this was the only place we actually refused to stay. Old motel with a few RV spaces squeezed in behind. Tight drive in and worse to get out. Looks like most live here permanently. We camped at Westwick Motel & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Cotton Lane RV & Golf Resort (55+ park), Goodyear, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2015 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Overnight pull through very tight for 43' DP due to tree (not even for shade). Stayed in pull-through Nov '14. Pull-through sites are close together. Roads are blacktop but sites are dirt and gravel. Monthly sites are wide but 43' is max and all are in full sun. March '15 stayed one month. Assist manager checked us in and told us how to park. The next day she called to tell us to reverse direction. That would put utilities on wrong side! Manager came to site and told us to change yet another way. I asked for compensation due to my inconvenience and manager said, "No and what about my inconvenience." Really? She's the manager! She said they don't take 43' DP but 2 others were in park! I guess it depends on the day if they'll take over 40'. Regulars agreed manager is awful.

Convenient park but we'll never return. We camped at Cotton Lane RV & Golf Resort (55+ park) in a Motorhome.

Gone Fishing RV Resort, Gordonville, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2014 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

With passport america rate this park was ok. Gravel, dirt, some grass. Old with many permanent or long term old rigs. For just one night, we'd stay again. Had to unhook tow from 43' motorhome to get around and park in site. We camped at Gone Fishing RV Resort in a Motorhome.
