Air Capital RV Park, Wichita, Kansas

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $48.00
Overall Rating:

This was a clean nice park for people without kids. It is all cement with a tiny piece of pristine grass between each RV spot. There are no picnic tables. We had wifi and cable as entertainment for the kids because there was nothing else for them to do. The staff was great. Led us to our spot and talked to us making sure we got hooked up ok. They have laundry and a shower house there next to the office. All very nice. There is also a dog park. Drawback here at this part is light and sound. It is super bright at night. It was kind of hard to sleep at night from it. Other drawback is trains. That was hard for us because we live in the country with no trains around us so hearing them often woke me up all through the night. This was probably one of the pricier places we've stayed at but we wanted to try it out. We camped at Air Capital RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Salina KOA, Salina, Kansas

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We absolutely loved this place. I'm hoping to plan a trip back soon. When we visited they had it all decked out for Halloween with blow ups. We have 7 kids so I was looking for a place with them in mind. The staff was awesome and put us right next to the playground and horse shoe pit. The kids were able to run over there and have a grand ol time with other kids visiting. They have a pond so the kids had a hay day over there as well. That pond was a big deal because kids get so frustrated when not catching a bite but they had no problem catching fish over and over. The lots were level and there is many trees making it a park type atmosphere. They have fire pits so the kids enjoyed having smores the night before we left. The only downfall was on the playground side where we stayed the highway was behind us so there was traffic noise. Other than that the place was perfect. We camped at Salina KOA in a Travel Trailer.
