Pueblo KOA, Pueblo, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice RVP for an overnight stay. Although near the freeway, little noticable noise. There is much for kids to do: basketball court, horse shoes, tether ball, play ground, a jumping cushion, and of course a nice pool. They have Hunt Brothers pizza for those of us who love it and wish not to cook after a day of driving. For the cons, some sites have shade for the late sfternnon sun (ours did), while others no so much. The staff is very accommodating and led us to our site. The laundery was spotless with 8 wahers and 6 dryers. There is a train in the area, but is quite away and not obnoxious. The park is well north of town, so not much nearby. We camped at Pueblo KOA in a Motorhome.

Be careful, GPS may not find the address. We had to call for directions. They will ask for the height of your rig as there is a 14 foot underpass at the freeway exit to reach the park.

Santa Fe KOA, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Located a few miles north of Santa Fe in a quiet valley away from the freeway. That's the good news; bad is there are no restaurants or fuel stations in the area. The park roads are dirt/gravel but wide and easy to maneuver. Sites are gravel and mostly level. We had no trouble getting level. There are trees separating every site but don't seem to interfere with satellite reception. They offer shade, depending upon the time of day. The staff was friendly and outgoing and we were escorted to our site. There is a dog run for the pets. The office has a fully stocked RV supply area. We camped at Santa Fe KOA in a Motorhome.

Downtown Santa Fe is a drive back south on I25. If you need fuel or groceries before heading out the next day, do it before you leave Santa Fe and head to the park.

Hacienda RV Resort, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This park is easy access from I10 with a walmart and fuel close by. Pros: wide paved interior roads; sites are all level gravel and easy to manuver; we arrived afrer office hours and our paperwork was waiting for us, theredore we had no interaction with the staff; water/power/sewer close, enclosed dog run for the furry kids. Cons: highly recommend getting a site well to the south and interior to the park because the backin sites along the access road while cheaper are a chip shot to the freeway so there is road noise all night long. Outdoor spa was closed for repairs at this time. Mostly open with few small trees and bushes. We aould stay here again, just not in the backin..pay the extra for a PT. Don Laughlin's Riverside Resort RV Park, Laughlin, Nevada

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very large park with over 700 spaces. Many are occupied with "snow birds" this time of year but there are plenty of spaces available. The staff at the office are very welcoming. The park sits on a hillside with three different levels. The lower levels sites (100 through 300) are quite tight with little room between rigs. The upper levels (sites 400 -500) are much larger mostly pull though with plenty of room for larger motorhomes plus toads. Shower/laundry facilities are conveniently located throughout the park. The shuttle also picks up at these locations. A word of warning, however; many of the sewer pedestals are 6 inches above ground level making dumping tanks a challenge if your connection is low under the rig ("stuff" doesn't like flowing up hill!). Many people propped up the sewer hose with anything they could find in order to get the height to flow down into the sewer connection. We camped at Don Laughlin's Riverside Resort RV Park in a Motorhome.

Anaheim RV Park, Anaheim, California

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $82.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean and well maintained park. The check in staff is very welcoming and helpful in providing info about the area and access to Disneyland and other attractions. We were in a back-in site bit there are lots of pull through sites for larger rigs or those with toads. All sites are level concrete and wide enough to park a toad. Power/water/sewer are close to mh utility bay. I-5 is about a block to the west and Anaheim Blvd. is a block to the eat, so noise may be problem for light sleepers. Good news, no trains. Given where you are, there are kids all around even this time of year, but no problem with noise. Pool is open all year and heated. We would definitely stay here again. Tips for other Campers:

Recommend using the "ART" bus to get to Disneyland/California Adventure. This way you don't have to pay to park and shuttle to the park entrance. The bus is $5.50 per day with multi-day/child/senior discounts. The bus runs every 20 minutes and picks you up at the RV Park, dropping you off at the park entrance. The main bus terminus in Disneyland is a good transfer point for other area attractions.

The Cove RV Resort (formerly Riviera RV Resort and Marina), Blythe, California

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed one night on our way west. Coming from the east, getting to the park is a little tricky. You have to go to the first west exit, then come back east to get to the park. This is because it is directly south of the California checkpoint. Coming from the west is a direct shot. I-10 noise may be a problem for light sleepers, but with our windows shut, we had no problem. The staff is very welcoming and were responsive when we had an issue with the power pedestal (reverse polarity on the 30 amp side). It had 30/50 amp plugs on the other side which worked ok. Roads are wide with plenty of room between sites. Grass i between sites, but was dormant this time if year. There is also a large/wide boat ramp to the Colorado river. We would definitely stay here again. We camped at The Cove RV Resort (formerly Riviera RV Resort and Marina) in a Motorhome.

Downstream RV Park, Quapaw, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

There are 2 "parks" at the casino. We stayed in the one near the casino and walkable even though there is a shuttle every 10-15 minutes. This one tends to have truckers overnighting nearby, but we didn't hear them as long as you park away from their parking area. The other "park" is closer to the freeway by the C store. Our site sloped rear to front but we did get level. The trick is to go to the casino guest services, get a player card the take it to the gift shop which gives you one free night. There is power at each site with water at every other site (no dump station), so it's best to arrive early since it's first come first served. We camped at Downstream RV Park in a Motorhome.

Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park, Wildwood, Missouri

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

A very quiet park during the week. Heard it is quite busy on the weekends. All sites are concrete and generally level. Satellite reception is best in sites up to 26 as these are in a meadow with few trees. Others are in heavy tees which may not be bad in summer for the shade. Be aware, all sites are power only. There is water available but it's best to have a full fresh water tank and empty waste tanks. There is a dump station by the restrooms, but it can be busy in the early morning. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at Dr. Edmund A. Babler Memorial State Park in a Motorhome.

West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA, Gretna, Nebraska

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here 6 days while attending a medical study at the medical school. Sites at the front and back of the campground are mostly level, with those in the middle less so. Those to the rear tend to get noise from I-80, while those near the front get some noise from the main road. Trucks tend to start using the road around 5am. The staff is very attentive and welcoming. We arrived a day earlier than our reservation and they found us a site on a very busy weekend. The following day, the rig in our reserved site was having mechanical issues and the staff kept us informed of the status and worked hard to accommodate us. They have a fantastic playground for the children. Our four legged friends have a fenced area to run off-leash. Satellite reception is iffy in most sites due to the trees, however cable is quite good. Our site #31 had a break in the trees and we got good satellite reception. Would definitely stay here again. We camped at West Omaha / NE Lincoln KOA in a Motorhome.

Carlsbad RV Park and Campground, Carlsbad, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here after visiting Carlsbad Caverns. Just a short drive from the National Park with easy access. Roads and sites are gravel and level. Older park but well maintained. Very quiet at night with little road noise. But...some of the residents are workers who leave a 5am in their large trucks. Friendly staff made for a welcoming atmosphere. Would stay here again. Western Sky's RV Park, Vado, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Stopped on our way east to Carlsbad Caverns. Pros: easy access from I10 with a Chevron full service truck stop nearby. Indoors there is no noticable freeway noise. PA price reflects what you get, a convenient overnight stop with no frills. Some shade. Cons: very dusty, but FHU easy to access. Most sites are are occupied by semi permanent residents but it is quiet. The park is near stop yards so the odor is quite noticable with flies abundant. The dog park is little more than a wide spot with almost no grass, but be careful of the burs that may affect the four legged friends. We camped at Western Sky's RV Park in a Motorhome.

Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

One of the nicest RV park/resorts we have encountered. The check-in staff was pleasant and accommodating. Our assigned site had not been vacated and staff worked diligently to get us as close as possible to the club house. Access to the resort is monitored 24 hours a day, so we felt very secure. The roads in the resort are asphalt and all sites a concrete. Our deluxe site had grass and was close to the pools (one for the family and another for adults only). Standard sites are also concrete but have gravel adjacent instead of grass. There is also a mini golf course that seems to get a lot of play. The club house has a mini-store with all the essentials like ice and other goodies. We have stayed here before and will definitely return. We camped at Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Zuni Village RV Park, Kingman, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed overnight on our way to Las Vegas. Conveniently located off US93 yet quiet. While it is an older park, it is well maintained with trash being picked up daily. About half the park residents are semi-permanent, but don't interfere with over nighters. If you are walking a dog, just beware of the large black cat on the west end of the park, he will attack. The sites are gravel and fairly level and easy to access. We camped at Zuni Village RV Park in a Motorhome.

Camping World - Good Sam Campground of Oxford, Anniston, Alabama

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

A basic RV park close to Camping World. Nothing spectacular for an overnight stay. The fenced dog run placed in the middle of the park convenient to all sites. We were escorted to our site by the friendly staff. Sites were spacious with new gravel and level. Some road noise from I20, but not enough to be a nuisance. As with almost all RV parks, there is a train nearby with engineers who love their whistles. We would stay here again for an overnighter. Woodlands Camping Resort, Elkton, Maryland

Date of Stay: October, 2016 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This is not a resort. Rather, a campground with 90% permanent residents. There are 2 sites in the campground with reasonably level gravel and FHU 30/50 amp service. We had to move to the 'overflow' on uneven grass with 30 amp and water only mid stay. Had to use leveling pads on one side of the coach get level. If this wasn't the closest to an event we were attending in New Castle, DE, we would have made other arrangements. There is a pool which we closed for the season. The price is way too high and we won't stay here again. We camped at Woodlands Camping Resort in a Motorhome.
