Spitit Lake Casino & Resort RV Park, Devils Lake, North Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2013 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

The first site we were assigned to was impossible for us to use. We'd specified we were in a 37 foot 5th wheel when making the reservation, but the site was short with hookups at the front on the wrong side. Might have been OK for a smaller motorhome that could pull in nose first. We were moved to a brand new area with a more suitable site, but noticed everyone unit using boards to level. Buffet is inexpensive, but still no bargain. The road across the causeway is now paved and no longer rough. We also noticed that all the lake view and full hookup sites appear to be permanently occupied. Good to know: entire property is 'dry' with no liquor allowed in casino, hotel or RV park. Indoor pool area seemed to be very nice. We camped at Spitit Lake Casino & Resort RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cahokia RV Parque, Cahokia, Illinois

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We used this park over a very busy weekend in the St. Louis area. I always just drive by this park but now wonder why. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Our site was a little tight to back into but I have seen worse. They do have more that a few fulltime folks but everything appeared to be kept neat. Pool looked real inviting, wish I would have brought my trunks. The BBQ restaurant on property was not as good as KC BBQ, but not bad either. They also gave a discount for staying in park. We will return for sure. We camped at Cahokia RV Parque in a Fifth Wheel.

Cedar Valley RV Park , Guthrie, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Great value for the price ($13 for one night w/Passport America). Nice 18 hole par 3 golf course for $5.00 a person: pay at the honor box. This campground is currently for sale as the 90+ year old owner wants to retire. We'll definitely be back! We camped at Cedar Valley RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

WinStar RV Park, Thackerville, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: July, 2010 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Regular rate is $25 a night, but $20 with a casino player's club card. Running a promo through 9/1/10 with first night free, so we stayed for 2 nights for $20! Had a long pull-through with hook-ups on both sides so you could choose which direction you want to go through. Our site was perfectly level. Staffer who checked us in, put us close to the shuttle stop. Very friendly and great security. We'll definitely return! We camped at WinStar RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

The Red Barn Rendezvous, Edwardsville, Illinois

Date of Stay: June, 2010 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

I see what the other poster was talking about. The RV next to us forgot and left his sink on. I saw water coming from under the trailer and shut it off. Told the female host so she could contact owner. When he came back to campground, he quickly found his error and corrected it. The host proceeded to ridicule him saying he could run the well dry and he should pay closer attention. She then told him to put water in his tank and he would not be allowed to hook up to the water. She just kept going on and on about the well going dry and his spilling her water. Also the Wi-Fi is poor. They have a note up saying the area business are complaining of the band width use of the campgrounds. It must be all the full time campers that have taken over part of this park. We won't stay again. We camped at The Red Barn Rendezvous in a Motorhome.

Binder Park, Jefferson City, Missouri

Date of Stay: May, 2010 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

This is a wonderful park, has a fishing lake in the park with handicap access. Water is, or appears to be, 1 spigot per 2 sites so some sites require a long hose. Fire pits and picnic tables are on concrete pads. We camped at Binder Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Cottonwoods RV Park, Columbia, Missouri

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Nice campground, sites are a little narrow but OK. They had lots of rain and hook up boxes were in standing water. In fact there was water standing everywhere. I will stop again this is a great overnight stop and not a bad destination. We camped at Cottonwoods RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Piney Campground, Land Between the Lakes NRA, Dover, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2008 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

The worst thing about this stay was we only had one night. Although I think I will go for just the electric site $18 instead of the full hook up site next time. This place is one of the nicest National Park Service Campgrounds I have been at. We camped at Piney Campground, Land Between the Lakes NRA in a Fifth Wheel.

Sportsman Anchor Resort and Marina, Benton, Kentucky

Very hard to enter pull thru sites (they only have 3). Lots of summer campers only 13 sites for nightly rental. Power or phone lines hang low, at 13'5" I hit them going in. We camped at Sportsman Anchor Resort and Marina in a Fifth Wheel.

Baywood Campground, Gulfport, Mississippi

Date of Stay: October, 2007 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 2 nights at this park. Everything seemed to be well kept. Has some long-term sites still from the hurricane. Staff were friendly, and only problem we had was finding the dumpster seems they have it back where the caretaker or owner lives. You can't pull back there while hooked up. It does need some TLC as things seem to be well used (sewer caps missing). I would stay again. The photos on the web site need updating but they are not far off. We camped at Baywood Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
