Motorcoach Country Club, Indio, California

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $140.00
Overall Rating:

Incredible resort! Great par 3 golf course, waterways for electric boats, pools, tennis, fitness center and 5 star restaurant. We renter for an entire season before we bought. Many lots have beautiful build outs with enclosed living areas. Be advised they only allow newer class A RVs We camped at Motorcoach Country Club in a Motorhome.

Garden of the Gods Campground, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

We did not have a great experience. Very tight navigating the road to get to our site. Keep in mind we have a '45 coach. Our site was a pull through, no executives sites were available. Our front step was 18" high on top of wood and digging out the back tired to finally get it level. Very close to each other in a big rig. The office closes at 4:30 when the park is full?! Lot is people trying to checking in after hours. Staff running around in golf carts were very nice and tried to help.

We could not pull forward to leave due to trees, we had to back out of our pull through. We camped at Garden of the Gods Campground in a Motorhome.

Nice to walk around Manitou for shopping. Manitou was nicer than old Colorado Springs. Garden of the Gods is touristy, you can walk a paved path, hike into the trails or just drive the road to see the rock formations

Yellowstone's Edge RV Park, Livingston, Montana

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

The staff was very nice. The park was clean and well maintained. Our gravel spot was big enough for our 45', tow car did not fit on site well, but it was not an issues sticking out a bit.

Sits along the main road but not too much traffic noise. The river along the park was nice with a short walking trail.

Verizon was pretty good, WiFi was workable. We camped at Yellowstone's Edge RV Park in a Motorhome.

The entrance to North Yellowstone was 1 hour. The drive to Old Faithful was 2 1/2 hours due to speed limit 35-45.

Highly recommend going to Lamar Valley to see a lot of wildlife. We did the Mammoth area and Lamar for a full day.

Blackwell Island RV Park, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here in our '45 coach. Easy to get around in this large rv park lots of big rigs here. Great location 10 minutes to town and the lake. 50amp was great. Wifi slow with a full rv park. Nice little walking trail and beach on the lake safe for kids to play. Never had time to rent kayak or water bikes, next time. We camped at Blackwell Island RV Park in a Motorhome.

StoneRidge Golf and Recreational Community, Blanchard, Idaho

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

As everyone has mentioned the rv resort is beautiful. Very clean with flowers and wonderful mountain views and golf. Plenty of room for our 45' and toad. We ran 4 A/Cs with no problem.

My only issue was the location. You are 45 minutes from Coeur D'Alene for shopping and dining. Nothing nearby except a couple of small diners.

Several amenities on site (mini golf, racket ball, horseshoe.....) but they are only for timeshare members. The owners were very friendly and socialize at each other's lots.

We ended up leaving early because we wanted more things to do closer. We camped at StoneRidge Golf and Recreational Community in a Motorhome.

WillowWind RV Park, Hurricane, Utah

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean resort. Maintenance takes pride is his work. Very quiet resort with very few kids. No pool may be a reason. Nice concrete pads and grass. I wished there were tables for outside eating. Plenty more of room for our 45' with toad.

Some areas have lots of trees, we choose no trees for our satellite. We camped at WillowWind RV Park in a Motorhome.

Distant Drums RV Resort, Camp Verde, Arizona

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in our 45' rv for 3 nights. Nice concrete pads and room for our tow. Staff was very nice. Shower facility was private and very clean. Near the freeway but did not hear any noise. A couple of planes took off nearby, but only a couple in 3 days. 25 minute drive to Sedona. We camped at Distant Drums RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Santa Fe KOA, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in a 45' RV. It is 12 miles from town. The staff was very friendly. Gravel sites are kind of level. Wifi was VERY slow. No cell service with Verizon, which was a big problem for us since we are full time and spent 4 nights here. We had to drive 3 miles to get cell service. Game room was pitiful, no pool. Not much of an area to walk around, all dirt and gravel. Lots of dirt and dust when cars and RVs drive by. Not worth the price other than there is no other place to stay. We camped at Santa Fe KOA in a Motorhome.

Camp Gulf, Miramar Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $136.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in our 45'. Some sites are tight in a big rig I noticed some areas where awnings were touching. 606 was easy with a drive area directly opposite for easy in and out. We did not want to be directly in the sand, the walk was 5 minutes to the ocean. Wifi was poor at the site but fine in the clubhouse. Tons of kids and activities to keep them busy. Wood picnic table on site. We camped at Camp Gulf in a Motorhome.

Stone Mountain Park Campground, Stone Mountain, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

We were traveling in a 45' rv. Streets can be narrow. They put us on L area with lake view. Nice level gravel lot with plenty of room for our slides. There was trash in the fire pit and the BBQ was quite dirty. There was a patio with picnic table. Too many trees for satellite but cable was fine. Wifi very poor at our site. Not much in the way of walking trails at the campground but tons of area to walk after a short drive. We camped at Stone Mountain Park Campground in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

The stone mountain area is a little confusing. Maps were very poor and did not show everything in the area. We walked down stone mountain but got lost trying to find our car in the lot to take the tram up. Totally different area about a mile away. For some reason most kiosk were closed for drinks and ice cream and it was 90 degrees on a Sunday in July.

Harbortown RV Resort, Monroe, Michigan

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed 8 days in a 45' RV. We were told we had a pull-through but they had nothing when we arrived and said they were all booked our entire stay. However we saw several several empty sites.

The staff was not friendly, never said hi or waved. The will NOT accept US mail which is really a pain when you are full time and finally spend several days in one place. They will send the mail back! It rained several days which caused a lake next to our coach and put our BBQ in a foot of water. Terrible mosquitos!

The RV park has amenities but there is nothing to do nearby other than 45 minute drive to the Detroit or Toledo. We camped at Harbortown RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

We stayed in a 45' rv. Plenty of room for our slides. No problem with satellite. Poor wifi. Good cable tv. Staff was very friendly. Trash pick up at site. It rained too much to use the lake. The drive to Niagara Falls was 1 1/2 hours. Not much to do nearby. There were a few wineries. Golf was fun at $25 per person with cart. Tough 18 hole course. We stayed in a 45' RV. Easy to park on pull-through a near the street. More challenging if you are surrounded by other rigs. Grass lots. No cable, poor Wi-Fi. We were able to get satellite and some antenna channels.
