American RV Resort, Albuquerque, New Mexico

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Well maintained, clean park. Yes, there is noise from I-40, but that was expected. But the park is noisy if you happen to get the exit row (65 - 72). Heavy traffic early mornings with people hooking up tow vehicles. Also, many speeding cars.

Tip: make sure you know how long you want to stay and only pay for that time period. Our original plans were for 13 days. Plan changed and we needed to leave after 12 days and they would not refund for 1 day. And this was not during Balloon Fiesta! We camped at American RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Albert Lea / Austin KOA, Ada, Minnesota

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park for an overnight stay. Quiet (not much interstate noise). Friendly staff. Not many 50 amp sites so if you need this would be wise to make a reservation ahead of time. Nice long grass area for walking dogs. We camped at Albert Lea / Austin KOA in a Motorhome.

Albuquerque North / Bernalillo KOA, Bernalillo, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park. Sites were a little close, but very well kept up. Nice artificial grass at the site. Very nice dog park with obstacle course inside the dog park. WiFi was decent. Access to the park from I-25 southbound is not easy due to islands preventing you from making a left turn so had to find a place to turn the motorhome around and approach for a right hand turn instead. We camped at Albuquerque North / Bernalillo KOA in a Motorhome.

Las Vegas, New Mexico KOA, Las Vegas, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

Very rough and narrow access road. Tight turns in park. Office only open in morning and late afternoon but our reservation with site number was in the door. We had electric problems (50 amp was out) so had to wait until office was open for fix. Nice setting and very quiet. We camped at Las Vegas, New Mexico KOA in a Motorhome.

Long, level sites. A good place for overnight stop. Was quiet and felt safe. Lots of grass for dog walking. The road to the campground turns into gravel and is a washboard. We camped at Grand Island KOA in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

long level gravel sites. The interior roads have a few pot holes and is a bit tight for bigger rigs. Clean restrooms. There are many seasonal or long-term sites but they are in a separate area from the short term sites. Adequate for an overnight stay. We camped at Rock Island KOA in a Motorhome.

Camp Lakewood Campground & RV Park, Effingham, Illinois

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Not big rig friendly. Could of just been the site we had, but it felt more like RV storage than a camp site. Our door opened into the adjacent site's sewer hose. The roads to the campground are very narrow. However, the park is quiet, clean, and the staff friendly. We camped at Camp Lakewood Campground & RV Park in a Motorhome.
