Harris St RV Park, Kilgore, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, well maintained little park. Great rate at $15/night for 20/30/50 and water. Large, level, back in site fit both truck and trailer with no need to disconnect. Unfortunately, contrary to what other reviewers said, my stay was not quiet at all, even with the park empty. Locals were cruising the adjacent street with music turned way up all night long. A few drove through the campground and left when they saw the camper. Barking dog at one of the neighboring homes and several trains throughout the night. Might be different during the week, but I would not return on a Saturday night. And probably would not return at all. Just too loud. We camped at Harris St RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

St. Louis West / Historic Route 66 KOA, Eureka, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

The nicest people on Earth run this KOA. I stored my trailer here for a few days in their storage area and then camped in an electric & water site for a night before heading on my way. Storage rate is fantastic and my site was very nice in a quiet, tree lined area. Free coffee and cookies in the check in area and a very nice store. But the staff is what makes this place, I wish all people were as nice as the folks that work at the St. Louis Route 66 KOA. We camped at St. Louis West / Historic Route 66 KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Echo Bluff State Park, Eminence, Missouri

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

More like an RV park than a State Park campground. Zero privacy. None. I had neighbors very close on both sides and, because of the tiered layout, I also had neighbors above me. I couldn't even leave my skylight open. Screaming kids everywhere. Wifi worked in my spot because I was under the router but it didn't seem to work outside of my site. Staff was extremely nice. I can see that they were trying to make this park nice and 'modern' but unfortunately it was just packed in too tightly with no attention to privacy or nature. We camped at Echo Bluff State Park in a Travel Trailer.

Fort Dodge RV Resort, Dodge City, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice, new park right in the center of downtown Dodge City, next door to the water park. There is no shade yet but it looks like there will be once the trees mature. The check in/store/laundry is very comfortable and clean and there are 3 well appointed brand new dump stations at the entrance. Sites are large and level and clean. My back in was very private in terms of neighbors, as I had a corner, but some are very close to each other. Drawback was that my rear dinette overlooked a grass field that was nice to look at but I had a steady stream of locals walking by my window, which was a little weird. It was also very close to the train track but I thought that was kind of cool. Train doesn't pass too often and it was fun to watch it when it did even though it shook my whole trailer. Guy at the front desk is a really nice kid. Trying very hard to make people feel welcome. I enjoyed my stay, it's nice to see a park that's being well kept up. We camped at Fort Dodge RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Gunsmoke RV Park, Dodge City, Kansas

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

I enjoyed my stay at the Gunsmoke RV Park on 'Matt Dillon Drive' the guy that checked me in was very friendly and they had a lot of local info in the 'general store' as well as free tea and lemonade. My site was level and long enough for my truck and trailer. I thought the Gunsmoke theme was done well and they look like they work hard to keep the place up. There's a bit of highway and train noise, and also an occasional whiff of manure but I'd stay again. We camped at Gunsmoke RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Pueblo KOA, Pueblo, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Good things first: very friendly owners are working super hard to make this place great. They clearly have read the reviews and have repaved the entrance and seem to be doing a good job remodeling. Check-in was quick, easy, professional/ The store is nice and they have pizza, wings, salad and ice cream that can be delivered right to you trailer, which is very cool. The bad: this is the loudest RV Park I have ever stayed in. I'm honestly not quite sure why. It may have been bad luck. But the highway is very close and there's that noise, which I expected. Then there's an hourly train, which happens at a lot of parks. But the people, as in my neighbors on all sides, were just so loud. Talking loud, shouting to each other, slamming doors, revving engines, dogs barking, yelling at the dog, laughing hysterically. Just on and on and on...on all sides. I don't know what on Earth was happening here. It was pure chaos. Hopefully just bad luck. Really nice owners. We camped at Pueblo KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Bighorn Park, Coaldale, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

I just happened to stumble on this place and it is one of those parks that reminds you just how great RV lifecan be. Incredibly friendly owners, warm and welcoming check in, nicely stocked store, clean & well kept up facilities, right on the river with great fishing access, clean pool, beautiful common areas and the friendliest neighbors around. Yes it is on Hwy 50 so maybe some traffic noise but I couldn't hear it in my trailer. I'd stay here again and again I loved it. We camped at Bighorn Park in a Travel Trailer.

Gunnison KOA, Gunnison, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Staff member at the check-in desk was the sweetest. Very friendly staff. My site was OK. Big enough for trailer and tow but I had to move two picnic tables out of the way that were directly in the middle of the site. Looked like they were pushed aside by neighboring sites. Shared utilities and sites pretty close together in the pull-through area. Back-ins look like they had more room. Right next to the airport but the plane noise wasn't too bad. Close to downtown Gunnison. Wouldn't spend a week here but my one night stay was good. We camped at Gunnison KOA in a Travel Trailer.

4J+1+1 RV Park & Campground, Ouray, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park. Check in was so friendly and personable and really made me feel welcome. Location simply cannot be beat. Walking distance to everything in the awesome town of Ouray and surrounded by towering mountains, with a river bordering the poperty. I didn't stay on the river, I had an electric only near the street and it was nearly perfect. A little bit of street noise but easy in and out, not cramped, sunny in the cool morning and shady in the warm afternoon. The river view sites are definitely close together, but there's a great vibe going on over there and I wouldn't hesitate to stay in that end if I needed fhu or wanted a luxury view. Like others have said, the location is by far the best thing about the park, but I would say the friendliness of the staff is a very close second! Can't wait to return. We camped at 4J+1+1 RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

Grand Junction KOA, Grand Junction, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Clean, quiet and safe with amazing staff. The wind was blowing hard and leaves and branches were were landing fast but the staff just kept working and cleaning it all up so the place would look nice and would be easy to navigate. check in was very friendly and i was assigned a giant site with a dedicated parking spot on one side, a pull through for my trailer on the other and a nice, concrete patio with picnic table and bbq in the center. there were utilities in the trailer spot and the vehicle parking spot, as well. Very family friendly with mini golf and a pool and fun mini atvs for the kiddos. i don't go out of my way to camp near kids but the ones here were quiet and well behaved and clearly having fun. it's right next door to the fairgrounds and a short drive to downtown. We camped at Grand Junction KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Monument RV Resort, Fruita, Colorado

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

I enjoyed my stay at moument RV resort, as I was given a very nice back-in, water and electric site on grass next to the cabins. My rear dinette overlooked a white picket fence and the Colorado monument and my front door opened to a nice, grass area between my site and the cabins. Were my trailer not equipped with black out fan covers and window shades, I would have been very annoyed by the extremely bright street light hanging directly over my site. Location is fantastic--ything and easy access to the state park, the monument and tons of shopping. Staff was very friendly. I would not stay here in a full hookup pullthroughs, as they are way too close together and crowded with no views or outdoor space. But my back in water and electric only was great, other than the street light. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Travel Trailer.

Shady Acres RV Park & Campground, Green River, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Came here after a poor experience at a park nearby and found it to be better. Check in was friendly and professional. Sites are close together, but there is some grass between them and they are level. Utilities seemed new. Nice, family vibe and good store/laundry facility. Too many red ants for my liking, but they did not come in the trailer. We camped at Shady Acres RV Park & Campground in a Travel Trailer.

A/OK RV Park, Green River, Utah

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Check in office is very disheveled and uninviting. Spaces very close and utilities shared. Strong sewer scent throughout the park. Unfinished construction and dust piles everywhere. Quiet, other than train noise. Fair amount of corrosion on my power pole but had no issue with power. Moved to another campground down the block the next night and would recommend that park over a/ok. We camped at A/OK RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Ely KOA, Ely, Nevada

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This park is clean and we'll kept, with a friendly staff and nice views of the surrounding mountains. The sites are very basic and close together, but pleasant enough. A little pricey, as KOAs are. Lots of very loud birds in the morning. Town of Ely was not a place I'd make a point to come back to. A little too gritty for my taste. We camped at Ely KOA in a Travel Trailer.

Silver Sky Lodge RV Park, Eureka, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

I wasn't sure what to expect, since the last review of this park was 5 years ago. I was pleasantly surprised to find a small, clean, zero frills park that is well kept with modern, newly installed utilities and a friendly owner who made me feel welcome the moment I arrived. You may pull through one of the 8 or 9 pullthroughs in either direction and there are sewer connections on both sides. Brand new utilities. Power pole and water is at one end but, again, you may pull in from either direction so you should be able to position yourself whichever way is best for your rig. Spaces are very tight and narrow, you will be close to your neighbor. I saw a class A + toad fit just fine, lengthwise. My neighbors were silent, as was the park. Gravel site, about an inch off level to one side for me. Dead level front to rear. Bathrooms clean, electricity reliable, check in easy as can be and a stone's throw from a cute, friendly town that could really use your business. Owner is as nice as can be. Stop here a while, spend a few days in Eureka. I'm glad I did. We camped at Silver Sky Lodge RV Park in a Travel Trailer.
