Key Largo Kampgrounds and Marina, Key Largo, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $65.00
Overall Rating:

Camped here two weeks in February 2016 and LOVED it! The campground is an older property and well maintained. Beautiful new pool area, Wifi lounge, two small (non swimming) beaches great for launching kayaks, or just spending a lazy afternoon at the beach. (Boat launch also!) The people that run the place, and all the staff could not have been more helpful. My vehicle sat for all the two weeks that I stayed here, because we rode our bikes everywhere. Groceries near by, Kmart and many other stores in the plaza 1/4 mile away. Bike trails run all along the business section, so you can explore and shop from your bike. LOVE Key Largo and LOVE this Kampground!!! We camped at Key Largo Kampgrounds and Marina in a Tent Trailer.

Brunswick Family Campground, Brunswick, Maryland

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

Just spent 5 days at the Brunswick campground and had a wonderful experience. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean restrooms (newly painted) and right on the C&O Canal Bike Trail, which is why we were there anyway. PLUS they had dry wood for campfires and they'll even deliver to your site.

Are trains running close by? Yes! Didn't bother our party of three a bit. We stayed in a pop-up and had water and electric for about $45/night. Reasonable for the area!

Will we return? Absolutely!!! We camped at Brunswick Family Campground in a Tent Trailer.

Skidaway Island State Park, Savannah, Georgia

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

Skidaway campground is my best camping experience ever! Yes, it was July, too hot and quite buggy, BUT the large sites, the tree cover, the walking trails, the helpful staff, and the fact that you're in Savannah (great town to visit) make this the IT park for me.

You have a huge Publix grocery store 2 minutes away, a pharmacy, gas, and shopping in the same "The Village" complex.

Need something at Skidaway, just ask the staff, and they'll steer you in the right direction.

Should also mention the good road system. Getting around is easy on the island and the mainland, and LOTS of services within 20 minutes.

Skidaway...very close to perfect!!!! We camped at Skidaway Island State Park in a Tent Trailer.

Sara's Campground, Erie, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: June, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

What can you say...it's Sara's. The only camping before you enter Presque Isle State Park. It's not for everybody, but I love it. Love the location for bike riding. No need for a car, get on your bike and do the 14 mile peninsula. Kayaking in the region although I drove to it, is fabulous. There's Sara's Ice Cream and food, pizza shop, light groceries right there. Waldamere Park just up the hill.

Rest rooms new and clean. The camping is tight though. If you're looking for location, location, location, Sara's is your girl. If you want seclusion and large campsites, go to Hill's Family Campground about 5 miles from Sara's.

Have camped at Sara's many times, and will be back soon! We camped at Sara's Campground in a Tent.
