Angler's RV Campground (formerly Rainbow Country RV Campground), Cedar Key, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $14.00
Overall Rating:

A nice older park with a fair amount of permanent residents. Very friendly and helpful employees. We stayed 4 nights with our 32' fifth wheel in a spacious spot. Cedar Key is less than 10 miles away with plenty to see and very good restaurants. We would definitely come back and stay here. A bit rustic, but very reasonable. We camped at Angler's RV Campground (formerly Rainbow Country RV Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Carrabelle Beach RV Resort, Carrabelle, Florida

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

A lovely RV park, right across the street from the Gulf Of Mexico right on Rt. 98. Very clean and all sites are cement pads and overall level. We stayed only one night on our way to Alabama at the end of snowbird season, so they were pretty full.

My complaint is this. They put us in their new lot, that was recently added to the facility, that has NO bath/shower building. The only bathroom and shower for the whole place is located behind the office in the middle of the property. It is a good 300 yards away, across the street, at the other end of the property from where they put us. I asked the girl at the front desk if there was a reason why they charged the same amount to be that far away from the "amenities" and she seemed put off that I would even suggest, as paying guest, I would even ask such a question.

She could have nipped this glitch in the bud, had she offered a small compensation for what I think is a major flaw. Who wants to have to drive to the bathroom when you're paying almost $50.00 a night? We camped at Carrabelle Beach RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

Beach directly across the street. Shopping near by in a nice small fishing town.
