This is an excellent campground for a visit to the Washington, D.C. area. Staff were very friendly, helpful and courteous. They had excellent directions to major sights in the area as well as helpful hints and info about using the public transportation, the Metro subway and Metrobus. A Metrobus stops in the park several times a day. The park has a great little cafe and large laundry area. We didn't have children with us but there are plenty of places for kids to enjoy. Our site was a hard gravel/asphalt mix back in that had plenty of room for our 42 ft trailer. There is some freeway noise but this is a major metropolitan area and it didn't bother us any. Easy to get in and out of park. Would stay here again if ever in the area. We camped at Cherry Hill Park (Washington DC) in a Fifth Wheel.
We drove to the Greenbelt Metro station instead of using the bus that stopped in the park. The bus ride was longer than what it took to drive to the station 2.5 miles away. Very easy to navigate the subway system in DC.

This is a nice park but pricey. It is quite a distance from NYC but we took the commuter rail that was easy to use and about 15 miles away. They did not have any info to speak of about the rail system but referred us to the Internet. They also had very little info about the area or tourist info so plan on doing your research before you get there. The staff was not unfriendly or friendly. Just doing their job. The laundry was clean but small and no frills. We had plenty of room for our 42 ft trailer at the site but did have to be careful on the drive in the park. The upper level was more for bigger rigs and that is where we were. We camped at Black Bear Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed in this park for 11 days and were very satisfied with everything. The WiFi was the strongest signal that we have ever found in any park. It worked all the time. Verizon signal adequate. The dog fenced area was clean and well maintained. Has a pool that looks good and nice exercise room but didn't use either. The owners are doing projects to improve the park and seem to really care about customers satisfaction. All the staff were friendly and helpful. There is an attached gas and convenience station so supplies and fuel are easy to obtain. The owners had a nice cook out and supplied all the food, beverage, and table service free of charge. The hamburgers were excellent quality. They said they try to do a meal about once a month. There are some longer term residents but they were all friendly and nice to be with. This park is somewhat of an older one that has some fixing up needing to be done but nothing that detracts in a terrible way. Our site was plenty long for our 40ft 5th wheel and truck. They have a variety of site lengths and some sites are concrete. There is a shuttle to the downtown area but we did not use it. They have an escort to your site. We would stay here again if in the area. Our rate reflects weekly rate. We camped at Savannah Oaks RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.
