Twin Lakes Camp Resort, Defuniak Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful park, perfect for big rigs. The rate is dependent on the site, so check the website out (which is a great site). Its surrounded by lake front or lake views. The sites are concrete & hard-scaped. They have done a beautiful job on site spacing. There is a great store in the campground office. We kayaked the King Lake side. There are grocery stores, etc. close by. We have a 41 ft motor coach that we maneuvered great inside the park & access roads were good. I'm not sure why the sites did not have a picnic tables. We will definitely stay here again. We camped at Twin Lakes Camp Resort in a Motorhome.

Green Acres RV Park, Savannah, Tennessee

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This was a terrific park to stay at with the pool and plenty of room at your site. We have a Tiffin Motorhome, so we were on our way to Red Bay, AL, which was only 1 1/2 hours away. The owners are new and reworking & building new sites to expand. Regrettably, our site was not level- our front wheels were on the ground but barely. New owners are working on it. There is nearby grocery, Walmart & Lowes. We would certainly stay here again. Verizon signal is perfect as is Satellite. We camped at Green Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.

Dakota Sunsets RV Park and Campground, Salem, South Dakota

Date of Stay: September, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This is our second stay at this campground. Our first stay was about 4 1/2 yrs ago & it was a decent park but tired. New ownership over past month, they have revived this park & it has beautiful level sites, sites for big rigs & is quiet & just a great place to stay. I am told the pool will need renovation & hopefully will be open for 2019 season. Owners are terrific, friendly & will escort you to your site. We will stay here again. Terrific Verizon signal & be sure to let them know what type of satellite you have & they will try to accommodate. Super easy on/off from Rt 90. I wish the new owners the best success! We camped at Dakota Sunsets RV Park and Campground in a Motorhome.

Osens RV Park & Campground, Livingston, Montana

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed from July to Sept for a job my husband was hired to do. The staff are super & they run a tight ship! This makes the campground safe, secure & very clean. We were initially in a site we could not get level on, and they allowed us to change sites, which was very accommodating & we appreciated. Yellowstone is an hour away, there is a Rails-to-Trails right at the end of the street you can take to see the Yellowstone River. And the views just never end- so very beautiful! If you think you want to be in this area- make reservations a year ahead of time if possible- they are full! We would certainly stay here again. Verizon signal is excellent as was our DISH satellite signal. We camped at Osens RV Park & Campground in a Motorhome.

Hogback Lake KOA (Formerly Circle B Campground), Angola, Indiana

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This was an easy to find & easy access- very close to I69. The site was easy to get to in our 41 ft Motor home with tow & level. The staff were very kind- they have quite a store. My only suggestion would be to provide an escort. We only stayed for overnight stay, but the park seemed to have a lot to do. We would stay here again. We camped at Hogback Lake KOA (Formerly Circle B Campground) in a Motorhome.

Misty Mountain Camp Resort, Greenwood, Virginia

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

The staff was very nice, however this CG is not made for big rigs. We have a 41 ft motorhome and it was very difficult to maneuver to get to the campsite. The campsite was big enough once there. Perhaps an escort would have helped us. There was a lot of rain in the area and the staff made sure we did not get a pull thru site that had potential to flood, which was very nice of them. I don't think that the CG owners should allow their dogs out loose on the CG, when the rules are for leashes for our dogs. We camped at Misty Mountain Camp Resort in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

It seems to be difficult to find a big rig CG along I-81 in this area. I was as specific as possible when calling ahead, but I was told that 41 ft. was not problem here. Perhaps they should not take over 37/38 ft. or help out with an escort.

Sweetwater Lake Campground, Saint Matthews, South Carolina

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

What a best kept secret, I don't want to share! If you are traveling I-26, this is a great overnight stop, with a Pilot on the road leading to this CG. There are only water & 30 or 50 amp hook ups. Since no one was there, the owner came out to greet us & guide us. We are in a 41 ft MH with tow and the road you have to go around was a challenge; I can not picture getting through it if its raining a lot. What you can do is stop prior to getting to that point, unhook your tow, back into an empty spot you want & then walk down & pay- its an honor system. There is a lovely private lake and its so quiet. It was a great stop over. Big rigs need to be aware of the branches overhead and I would not attempt the loop around road in the rain, back in your chosen site instead. We camped at Sweetwater Lake Campground in a Motorhome.

Cajun Palms RV Resort, Breaux Bridge, Louisiana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed overnight on our way to Florida, and the park was conveniently located off I-10. Easy check in and escort to our site. This resort has everything: hot tub, pool, two bars, movie theater! We ordered Cajun food from a place that delivered to our RV and that was great. It was quite empty being August, I'm sure its quite full & active during the winter months. We would stay again as a stop over. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Indian Creek Recreation Area Louisiana, Woodworth, Louisiana

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $4.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great park, with spacious sites. Some sites are so un-level, or elevated so that you would fall down from your steps, that are not usable. But almost all are waterfront or waterview. The grounds are kept up well. There are pull thru's and back in's, 50 amp and no septic but a dump station. It is quiet and peacefully scenic. A great overnight traveling I-49 thru LA. We camped at Indian Creek Recreation Area Louisiana in a Fifth Wheel.

Pelican Palms RV Park, Milton, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

I had picked this park from a Sam's Club trip planner to stay overnight on our way to Florida. I don't know what Sam's Club criteria is- I won't trust them again. GPS takes you the opposite way if you are going I-10 Eastbound, be sure to take a Right and not a left. Staff said they are trying to fix. Entry/exit road is wide enough for One vehicle/RV. All the sites are pull through, but all grass sites Muddy everywhere. We will probably need 4WD to get out in the a.m. The staff is nice enough. The 50 amp site is barely 50 amp- the voltage is quite low. It is not worth the price at all. They do have discounts available, I am not a member to get a Sam's club discount, and now I will not renew for sure. We camped at Pelican Palms RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Dakota Sunsets RV Park and Campground, Salem, South Dakota

Date of Stay: November, 2014 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed at a level, pull thru, graveled site with full hook ups and 50 amp. It was a mostly shaded spot. It was very well kept. The office girls were wonderful and very kind. It is not far from Rt 90 at all. We camped at Dakota Sunsets RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
