Site too narrow even for resort park. Our motor home 25', one slide. RV placed in opposing positions but not told this at office. Neighbor had plugged into our outlet box. Went to back to office. Asked for escort. Was first told Not Available. Then, after 15 minutes escorted. Staff very unfriendly. Cable TV channel line up in guide given totally wrong. On complaint, got a different one. Would not return. Never comfortable due to closeness of neighbors.

About the nicest KOA we have seen. Staff friendly. Site immaculate. Great view of city. As others noted, site newly leveled.

Date of Stay:

Fine park. Site was level. Office staffer was very friendly, accommodating and allowed us to get receipt and complete forms next morning so we could get to site and hook up. Cable very good but also good digital broadcast TV. Near stores. Many full-timers but very quite and all with well maintained rigs and sites. Only complaint was that Wi-Fi reception fairly weak. But we were in furthest site from off (No.101). T Mobile worked well. Rate Passport America - 2 nights.

Date of Stay:

On of the best parks we have seen in over 100k miles of RV travel. Rate reflects average 4 nights at premium site with one free night (as first time in park) and KOA value discount.

But for these two issues, this park would rate a 9. 1. Signage to RV Park from highway (southbound) is very poor. When I commented on this to the check-in lady, her response was "I just work here." 2. Although the roads are paved and pads are concrete, our site was not level and auto jacks had to lift one rear tire in air. Otherwise, fine for a casino RV park. Shuttles to the casino were timely. Buffet ($16) was excellent.

I very rarely rate a park as a 10 but this one qualifies. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. They arranged a city tour and called us in the MH when the van arrived. Rate reflects Passport America for first night and Good Sam discount for second night. Not quite walking distance to Bourbon Street in the Quarter but quite close. We drove our toad and paid a couple of bucks in a metered spot. A first class park!

Date of Stay:

Somewhat pricey for only 30 amp, no cable, no wireless. Probably justified by proximity to NYC. We tried for Liberty Landing - much closer but they were booked up. Quiet park, big sites. Only problem was that office staff assigned us a site already occupied when we got there. A little tough backing up the 40' motor home on a twisting road to another site that we just took and then reported to office. Also, same staff person was on an apparent personal call when we entered office and was in no rush to get off to register us. Would stay here again if we couldn't get into Liberty Landing but would scout out site with toad before driving motor home to it.

Date of Stay:

Just a fine park. Rate was for a 30amp pull through site without sewer or cable TV. Reflects 10% off for KOA Value Card. Was $7 higher during weekend. Also got a $35 discount for using points from previous KOA visits. A little tight for big rigs (40') but doable. Staff was terrific!!! Only negative: our site somewhat off level, needed blocks under the rear wheels when using auto jacks, to avoid tires in air. Would definitely return.

Rate reflects weekly rate. Very nice, quiet campground. Level site, good power and cable TV. Very friendly staff. Highlight was a visit by a K9 Game Warden who came with her dog and gave a very informative talk about how to train a search and rescue dog.

Date of Stay:

Two problems with this campground. 1. Premium site but able to level with auto level. Needed 2" blocks under rear wheels to avoid them being in air with rear jacks fully extended. No excuse for this at $87 a night. 2. We reserved four nights and was told we had four nights at check-in. (Their written poicy on web site is a 4 night minimum for a stay over a weekend in July or August.) I later looked at departure date on parking pass and receipt and found they had as down for only three nights. Maybe I should have checked earlier but staff was not at all cooperative when I asked for one more night and insisted we depart.

Date of Stay:

Would have rated 8 or better except the pull through site for our 40' motor home was way off level. Needed 4" of blocks under front tires for auto jacks to level without a tire in the air. This just shouldn't be at this price for 4 nights!

Copake KOA

Copake, New York

Date of Stay:

Excellent campground. Friendly and helpful staff. Huge sites. New electrical boxes and picnic tables. Site was level. Good location to visit Tanglewood Music Festival. Would stay here again. Rate reflects weekly stay and KOA Value card discount.

Except for narrow roads and narrow transient sites, this is a very nice park. Mainly seasonal but ok area for overnighters. With a 40' motorhome towing, you cannot make the turn to sites hooked-up, so I changed this campground to: not Big Rig access. The site was not level: needed 6-8" blocks under left rear tires to use hydraulic jacks without a tire hanging in the air. Has a good farmers market, flea market nearby. Free shuttle to beach from rec house parking. Too far to walk from our site.

Date of Stay:

OK for overnight. Sites not level. Cable connection at our site broken. Sewer connection top about 8" off ground which may be a problem in totally emptying holding tanks. Sites and roads fairly narrow. Roads rough. Did not get escort to site and had difficulty finding because seasonable sites are on map provided but sites are not numbered. Rate reflects Good Sam discount. Close enough to Erie to do full provisioning.

Date of Stay:

Very nice and clean park. The train whistle did not bother us at all. Staff friendly - got escort to site. Only negatives: Sites rather narrow for rigs with slides and awnings. But long enough. Water had lots of particles - really jammed up our filter. Would stay here again.
