Park facilities were very nice, it has two dog walk areas where your pet can run and play off leash. The swimming pool was large and very clean and a nice temp even though they said the heaters were off. The sites for short term are near the front center and were decent sites with stone and fairly level, some had trees for shade. This is a great place to visit the Sarasota area and beaches.

This is a nice park, nicely kept up. The noise that one person said about the traffic is valid. Using the A/C or the fan can mask the noise at night making it less an issue. The sites are fairly level, we were on site 880 and had to raise the step side about 3 -4 inches making the first step a bit of a reach. The only other negative comment about the sites on the upper level, are they are a bit short for a large RV and tow vehicle. We stayed in a fifth wheel and had a tough time parking our truck without being on the neighbors site. Some might find the exit road a bit narrow leaving the upper campsites. The road is quite passable but I think they could widen it a bit. All said, it is a nice place to camp, it had good cable and the Wi-Fi worked just fine. Entrance has a gate that you use a card to enter with making getting in and out a bit of a challenge when there are many people coming and going.

Roamers seems to be doing some improvements since the last time here. The sites near the pavilion are very bad after a rain as there is no stone, its all grass or mud. At least it's not after a rain storm so I can't say if that has improved any. Our site this time is 56 and it slopes to the right side about 4 inches off level. You need to have an extra step to get into the RV. It would be great if the management would attempt to level the sites better side to side with more stone. They have added a stone roadway to the sites near the open field #2B -9B, which helps in wet weather getting in or out of the sites. This is a great place to stay with plenty of things to do and see. I just hope the owners and management continue to make improvements and bring this campground up to it's full potential.

I would rate this a 10 if it had WiFi at the sites and or TV reception. We could only receive 3 PBS stations. It would be nice if they had a tower with an antenna and ran cable to the sites for over the air TV reception. The sites themselves are fabulous, concrete pads, with lots of space and grass all around. All are full hookup with 30,50 amp service. We stayed here 3 days while having service work done on our rig. We toured the Biltmore Estates, in Asheville, while here. We were going to ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway but found it closed due to storm damage done in the winter. The campground has two sides. One is a rally park and it is a great place also, very level and full hookups, adjacent to the Tom Johnson RV sales center. The campground laundry had two washers and two dryers for the whole campground, they worked quite well. My guess is most motorhomes have their own washer/dryers so they don't need more than these two. We would return if in the area.

This is a good place to stay for an overnight. It is close to I-95 and just far enough off 95, to get away from the road noise. Not much close by for restaurants. The management gave us the names of two eateries, but after driving into town they looked very run down and in a very poor area. WiFi will cost you extra here. The sites are level, on dirt and easy in and out pull throughs. The management was not overly friendly, nor were they rude in any way. There was a pet play area which was a plus. We would stay again.

Overall depending on the site you get, this park is ok. It has hills that are stone and gravel, that unless you have a four wheel drive vehicle, I don't know if you would get into some sites. We were on E31 a pull through, next to the flag pole. It was a level site for the fifth wheel but my truck front was on a down hill slope. I was concerned that with the rain we had at night I would not be able to get hooked up and back out of the site. The owner suggested backing out instead of trying to go down the hill and making a hard left turn at the bottom of the site. There were better sites available and one's opinion might reflect a higher rating than mine because of this. The WiFi worked quite well, no problems with connecting or timing out. The cable TV worked fine also. The rest rooms looked like they could use some maintenance, but were clean. We stayed one night. The price was a bit much for this campground, but the price is due to the closeness to DC and other historic areas.

The park was ok. It has dirt roads and some hills depending on where your site is. Ours was 66 and fairly level with a slight slant. Sites on the lower level nearest the river are level and some pull throughs also. Having a pet run area was a plus. Being near the stream or river area meant more bugs, biting gnats or whatever, which was annoying but then it's Georgia, one must expect this. With AT&T, our cell service was not a problem here. WiFi worked well and was fairly fast. Cable TV worked well. We stayed one night.

This park is a nice park, it isn't Fort Wilderness but it a nice place to stay. We stayed for the month of March, though most are seasonal and yearly campers. This year the monthly rate was increased by $150, to discourage people for staying such a short time I suppose. The management would like to rent out all of the sites to long term 3-6 month campers who get a better rate. We have camped here for several years and like the campground and its location. But if the rate continues to increase to penalize the short term campers, than it maybe time to look elsewhere.

Nice park with easy access from I-95. The sites are open and easy in and out. We arrived just after a 4" snow the night before, but had no problem getting into the site. The nicest dog friendly park we have been to in a long time. On check-in they gave us a bag for both dogs with treats for them. They have a nice enclosed dog run that after a long drive the dogs enjoyed. The bathrooms were clean and only complaint would be it was chilly inside, but the outside temps were in the 20's. We would definitely stay here again.

This is ok for an overnight stay, but I think there may be better places to stay. We arrived to a site that we had to go through two large puddles. Then speed up so as to not get stuck in the mud as we pulled into the site. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to leave the next day without a tow. The area had a lot of rain but the sites could be improved by adding stone to make it better to eliminate the mud. I think we will look for a different place next time through.

This is mostly a permanent RV and mobile home park. There are a few sites available to transients on a limited basis. We stayed here for two weeks and had a site next to the walkway that headed to the pool area. Nice pool and it was heated. Pet friendly but not too much in the way of a dog walk. We used the street sidewalk grass area along the highway, only wish more people would pick up after their pets. Sites are a bit tight for space, with some tree areas for shade. Nice area and plenty of food and stores close by. Definitely would stay again.

We have camped here for the past 20-25 years. Not much has changed at least in the last several years. It seems that the owners don't want to maintain the campground as the previous owners did. The sites nearest the pavilion are nice sites but are on grass. Do not go there if it has rained a lot. We pulled in to find tire ruts from the previous campers that were six to eight inches deep. Rather than put down crusher run, or stone to each site they offer to pull you out with their tractor. When asked about grass versus stone sites, the owner stated it cost $500 for a truck load of stone. If people stop coming due to the condition of the grounds especially after a rain, then the campground will suffer. This would be a shame because this is an ideal location for shopping, restaurants and the steam museum next door. To the owners I suggest that you improve the sites, spend some money on stone and bring Roamers back to what it should be!

Store and staff was nice. Sites are all gravel or grass and dirt, with trees. Nice touch was the trees were being trimmed while we were there so they take care of low branches, something I wish more campgrounds would do. A small restaurant at the entrance to the park was very good; prices were good also, open 5-9 pm. Fuel stop just down the street with diesel and other restaurants within a short drive. Campground was clean and we were shown to our site.

The park is located about 1/2 mile off of I-95, and is easy to get into and out of. Restaurants are located on adjacent road within 5 miles with excellent food. The staff was very friendly, and store had the usual stuff, nothing fancy. Sites and roads were gravel, sites nothing fancy either but fairly level, we needed about 1 1/2" to level our RV. We did not have sewer and are not sure if any are available other than to full timers. The cable worked well but we could not connect to the Wi-Fi at all. This is a good overnight stop and we would stay here again. The site was plenty long enough for our truck and RV. The price might be a bit high for electric and sewer and would be my only negative comment.

Very convenient to I-20, also fuel and restaurants are a short drive away. The staff was friendly and recommended places to go for dinner. The campground has a number of permanent campers, but there were pull through sites available for travelers. Laundry area was clean and the machines looked in good shape. Bathrooms and showers were locked and clean. A small playground area for kids and a pool which wasn't ready yet. As others mentioned the wifi is not free it is by TengoInternet and costs $5/day. The cable tv reception was ok, some channels were a bit fuzzy but it did have the weather channel. This was important due to severe weather concerns in the area, and we were glad to have it. Sites were gravel but level. We stayed in a fifth wheel and would stay here again.
