Overall Rating:

Easy on, easy off. No highway noise. Just calm and peaceful. Watch the deer and rabbits come into the park right next to you. Outstanding pet trails and walking trails. Several opportunities for walking. Lots of family opportunities for activities, all ages. Clubhouse, pool, outdoor recreation for young people. This is a quiet park with lots to do in and around the area. Small store nearby and a restaurant close by. Love this park. The owners do everything to make your stay wonderful and memorable. Sunrise Campground, Bozeman, Montana

Date of Stay: April, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

First off, these are the nicest mgr/owners I have ever met. They literally bend over backwards to make your stay pleasant. To the point I saw one owner walking around with a portable blow torch while in a snow storm and about 20 degrees. We drove in, hooked up, and crashed as we had drove all day in some pretty bad wind. The owner said "well just settle up when y'all leave". Again, super folks. The park is easy enough to navigate. Entry and Exit to I-90 is very easy. As there had been a lot of snow and rain, there was a lot of mud and standing water. Thanks Mother Nature. We camped at Sunrise Campground in a Motorhome.

WaKeeney KOA, WaKeeney, Kansas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This has to be one of the cleanest and maintained KOA I've ever stayed in. All sites are pull thru with more than ample space between your neighbor and yourself. Able to pull Motorhome in with Tow Car still attached. All roads are gravel as are the sites. All are maintained with no noticeable potholes. WiFi is incredible. Cable TV has over 75 channels that are clear as can be. Easy on off the freeway with a small convenience store just outside of park. This town is not a destination but a great stopover. We camped at WaKeeney KOA in a Motorhome.

Gunsmoke RV Park, Dodge City, Kansas

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

If you've been on the road all day, then you want peace and quiet. This is that park. Absolutely no noise noticed. Very calm, and peaceful. Not a lot of RV traffic this time of year either. Could get busy in the RV season. Well laid out, with a lot of room between sites. Owner and his wife are really nice folks and want you to feel at home and welcome. They purchased the park last July and have spent time and money to get it up to par. Great WiFi and over the air TV. (We used our Satellite). Gravel roads and sites. All maintained very well. We stayed in site 96, (far corner). Dodge City Kansas is rich in cattle and western history. Lots to see and do downtown and in the area. My wife and I have traveled all over the country several times over and strongly recommend this gem if in the area. We camped at Gunsmoke RV Park in a Motorhome.

Boot Hill Casino and Resort is approx a mile away. Very lavish and large. I understand RV parking (Boondocking) is available out in one of their parking lots. Fort Dodge is a very nice museum with older period style buildings. Many day trip opportunities.

El Reno West KOA, El Reno, Oklahoma

Date of Stay: March, 2018 - $45.00
Overall Rating:

This piece of real estate needs to be plowed under and someone come in there to redesign and layout a park. There can't be more than 3 or 4 feet between spots. All spots (50 Amp) are pull thru. One entire row (next to office) are workers in and around the area. They all fire up their trucks and motorcycles at or about 6 AM. There is a dog park that is about 500 ft away and up a small hill from the park that is next to the Bison Pen (that is filled with manure). On any given evening, when the workers come home, their trucks and other vehicles block the entrance into the office road and as a result, you must walk about 250-300 feet to the office. When I asked about it I was told "Well they live here full time." Really!? WiFi is advertised, Good Luck! Cable TV is advertised. So much static and noise you cant watch. And when I asked about it I was told the owner/manager is aware but the cable company won't fix it. Been that way for over a year. This park is totally unacceptable to any RVer on the road. Find somewhere else to camp. If the owner wants this KOA to remain a fulltime location for gas and oil workers, then make it that way. but don't advertise something else. We camped at El Reno West KOA in a Motorhome.

Ho-Hum RV Park, Carrabelle, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

What sets this park aside from all others is its proximity to the gulf waters. I was literally 25 ft from the waters edge. We watched dolphins swim up and down the gulf. Great sunsets and sunrises. Staff was incredible. Everyday, folks raking and picking up pine cones. Thank you folks for sharing yourself and your park. Very satisfied with our stay. We camped at Ho-Hum RV Park in a Motorhome.

Village of Trees RV Resort, Declo, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Beware coming east on I-84, do not take exit 216 as that exit is closed. You have to exit at 211, then follow signs for the detour. Park registration is in store, which is stocked along with a grill. They will also deliver to your site. After squaring up bill, you are led to your site. Good long pull thru with OK distance between neighbors. Park is right on the snake River and there is a dock and ramp there. Good cell reception, wifi very weak. Lots of seasonals but never a security issue. I would stay here again. We camped at Village of Trees RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Canyon Springs RV Resort, Caldwell, Idaho

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Right off I-84. In a rural setting with no highway noise. Check in easy, escorted to site. Unable to back into assigned site due to tight turn and location of fixed picnic table. After several attempts, office did agree to move me to another site. Today however was something in many years of RVing I've never encountered, an active gun range. At approximately 5 PM, the range went live and several weapons began firing. This lasted until around 7:30 PM. Apparently, the rear of the range is directly behind the RV park. Besides the noise, all dogs in the park went crazy thinking it was July 4th. We camped at Canyon Springs RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Pulled in about 3 PM at the office. After paying and registering, we were led to our pull in site #21. Very long, didnt have disconnect. Very nice grassy area beside MH on both sides. Gravel roads well maintained. Tall Pine Trees. Lots of flowers. This is a gem just south of Bend along HWY 97. Would definitely return. We camped at Big Pines RV Park in a Motorhome.

Gila Bend KOA, Gila Bend, Arizona

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

This new KOA has a new owner (Oct 2016) and has turned this park around. If you're looking for a park that is far away from everything and is clean with sites spread out, this is the place. Stayed here some years back and I couldn't believe how much it has changed. Well done Scott. We camped at Gila Bend KOA in a Motorhome.

Cooperstown KOA, Richfield Springs, New York

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

This park is under new management and it shows. Each site is well manicured, and I found it very easy to navigate. Large groups of tenters that had wide open space. Park is about 10 miles from local shops in Richfield Springs and Cooperstown and the Baseball HOF Museum is about 25 miles south. These folks are turning this park into a destination. We stayed here in a 42' Motorhome. We camped at Cooperstown KOA in a Motorhome.

I expected a lot more. Sites were close together, and not well maintained. All hookups were at the rear of the pull thru making it tough to manage the space. Park was mostly made up of full timers.
