Boyd's Key West Campground, Key West, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $109.00
Overall Rating:

While at the Keys expect to pay. It was snowbird season so it's expensive... but you are really close to Duvall Street where everything is happening... it's tight to navigate a motorhome and a tow dolly thru the interior roads thank goodness for the assistance from the employees... they are great... yes you are close to your neighbors but Real estate is at a premium there on the island... we did have a pull in site not a back in which was great! FHU and great cable but wifi is in & out most of the time. Go to the garden to get access to the internet... that could use some upgrades. If you have a tow dolly they tell you to in hook before going to your site because it's really tight with a car & dolly to get around they the campground. Great time ! If we go back we will stay there! We camped at Boyd's Key West Campground in a Motorhome.

Miami Everglades Resort, Miami, Florida

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $66.00
Overall Rating:

Grass and dirt.. tree roots so we had to maneuver the RV so that we could level the coach. Trees could be trimmed up so you can get your slides out without touching them. Really close to your neighbors.. but in Florida a lot of sites are close. Would go to the all grass sites next time. No tree roots there. They charge you a Resort fee for each day you are there but, wifi you have to buy each day you are there... not free at your site.. my thoughts are if you are paying a extra Resort fee then wifi should be included... you can go to the deck where u can login. That's where it's free. nice pool and hot tub. Nice prickleball courts and put put course. Interior roads need some repair. Then there is car & trucks parked on both side of the roads can be a little tricky driving thru to get to your sites with a tow dolly and car. We camped at Miami Everglades Resort in a Motorhome.

Whispering Meadow RV Park, Westlake, Louisiana

Date of Stay: February, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed here for an overnight stay. FHU and concrete site with table and chairs. WIFI worked great and great cable TV. Very quiet stay. Owner very nice and personal. Ask my husband if he needed any help with loading up to leave and had a very nice conversation with him. Yes he has long term workers living there but I can honestly say I never heard a peep out of them. They are separated away from from the other campers. Great place to spend a relaxing night off the road! If coming thru I-10 in Lake Charles please stay here... will not be disappointed! We will definitely stay here again when going to Texas! Thank you! We camped at Whispering Meadow RV Park in a Motorhome.

Newport / I-40 / Smoky Mountains KOA, Newport, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Glad we are only staying here one night! Road to get back to the park is very tight and narrow! Once inside the park it's uphill on gravel road. One way in, one way out! A lot of permanent residents all throughout the park. Old cable with a converter box system. I thought in 2016 that everyone had cable without boxes. Boy I WAS WRONG THERE!

Site was unlevel and gravel. Hope you have 2 fresh water hoses cause if you stay here you are going to need them. The water is in the very rear of the site; and also 2 sewage hoses to hook up. The fire ring is an old rusty hub off a tractor trailer. The picnic table looks like someone made it and didn't look safe to sit on.

Oh, it's shady all right; they need to trim them.

If I only knew we would have stayed in Gatlinburg! Spend the money and stay there. I will next time! We camped at Newport / I-40 / Smoky Mountains KOA in a Motorhome.

Nashville KOA, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $79.00
Overall Rating:

Wow! After coming back from the west coast heading home this Is a great example to me what a KOA should be. Upgrade to the nicer sites. Level and asphalt site with nice table and glider. Also a Nice fire pit. Cable worked great and WiFi as well. The sites are plenty long for our coach with tow dolly and car. They have one of the nicest pool I've seen. Great outdoors play area with the chess and bowling for everyone. Great inside media room with puzzles and games for everyone to play.

Stay here if you can! We will be back when going to Nashville. We camped at Nashville KOA in a Motorhome.

Benton KOA, Benton, Illinois

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Camp host is very friendly and helpful. That's as good as it gets. They need to grade the gravel road to sites, rough. Don't get site 23. We could not get level, its on a hill. They need to level some of the sites. We were in the back by the interstate and could hear the noise. It seems like a lot of long term people in here.

Cable with about 100 channels and wifi worked good as well. We camped at Benton KOA in a Motorhome.

Spearfish KOA, Spearfish, South Dakota

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is one of the nicest places we stayed at. Staff was very friendly and escorted your site. Our site was gravel but very leveled and long enough for the tow. They have grass, which out west is not often seen at many campgrounds. Cable & WIFI worked great! Close to everything Black Hills, Devil's Tower and Sturgis.

Did not use any of the facilities but the pool looked clean. If we come back out west this is one we will back. Loved it! We camped at Spearfish KOA in a Motorhome.

Sparks Marina RV Park, Sparks, Nevada

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

So far this is up there on my list as being a great resort! Clean. A plus in my book. Check in was easy and fast. They escort you to your site and assist you to where the hook ups are. Wifi worked great and cable has plenty of channels. Site clean and yes its turf between sites which makes it look pretty. No I don't have any dogs but there is a dog run area. Love the idea of the picnic table. Has a area designated for your grill that's steel so we (Campers) don't mess up the table. The pool and spa is open till 12! Love that, after going into Reno to gambling!

We had a pull thru site which was long enough for the tow to stay attached to the coach and a space for the car.

Water pressure is good as well. They have security all night long which is great.

If you are traveling to the west coast or traveling to the east, this is a must stop. Not to far from Downtown Reno about 8 miles. We camped at Sparks Marina RV Park in a Motorhome.

San Francisco RV Resort, Pacifica, California

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

This is a asphalt lot and very close together but, we were there to visit San Francisco and a friend. I am finding out in California every campground is very limited on space. Coming from the East coast where there is space between sites. Everything has to stay between the painted lines of your site. We had to disconnect the tow dolly and side it up under the Motorhome so the car could fit in our lines of our site.

Great views of the ocean. Everything worked well. The staff was very friendly and the laundry area was great.

They do have long term residents there but they put them all on left side of the park and really don't know they are here. We camped at San Francisco RV Resort in a Motorhome.

San Diego Metro KOA, Chula Vista, California

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $80.00
Overall Rating:

This KOA is very clean! They are out every morning using vacuums to clean all the leaves up and cutting the grass! Yes you are close to each other, but its California people. Everything is close together.

They have plenty to do for the kids in this park. They are expanding and making a bigger pool area next year and they need it, the 10 days we were here it was always busy.

If in San Diego we will be staying here again... We camped at San Diego Metro KOA in a Motorhome.

Tucson / Lazydays KOA, Tucson, Arizona

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $68.00
Overall Rating:

Gravel site for your RV but they have a cement pad for the table and chairs that are on every site. Even have asphalt for you to park the car.

Cable worked great and the hookups were in an easy location. They have 2 pools & 2 hot tubs that were cleaned.

We choose under the solar panels due to the heat, which made it a little cooler. We were there when it was 100 & over the 11 days we were there.

When coming back to the west coast we will be back. We camped at Tucson / Lazydays KOA in a Motorhome.

Chula Vista RV Resort, Chula Vista, California

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $100.00
Overall Rating:

Cement pad for the RV. They were level. Had a pull-through, and it was long enough for the tow and our car. Hook-up worked well. Close to the Marina and park. Some people in other reviews talked about the noise from the park (public) but we did not hear any.

Close together but you are here to sightsee San Diego.

Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town (formerly Sam's Town Casino & RV Park) , Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park. Pool could use some cleaning but it's Vegas so most people are there to see the other things. Its easy to get to the strip and Fremont experience.

The cable was great with HBO and plenty of channels. They have Internet but only at the pool, laundry, and office areas. We camped at Las Vegas KOA at Sam's Town (formerly Sam's Town Casino & RV Park) in a Motorhome.
