Wendy Oaks RV Park, Florence, Mississippi

Date of Stay: November, 2006 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is new campground off Hwy 49, approximately 5-6 miles south of Florence MS. It is exceptional. Good facilities, great management, great access, great for families, allows pets (on leash when crowded otherwise let 'em loose), you can use off road vehicles with prudence and responsible driving, the price for nightly stays is higher than average however monthly rates are very good for the return of peace of mind and freedom. Ground fires are okay with judgement and care. Has a great office person and she knows how to treat folks well. A little off the path of metro area amenities, yet reasonably located, but that's what RVing is about, isn't it? We camped at Wendy Oaks RV Park in a Motorhome.

Timberlake Campground, Brandon, Mississippi

Date of Stay: October, 2006 - $18.00
Overall Rating:

This is a public park so don't disobey rules or they will ask you to leave. I didn't have a pleasant stay here due to the over controlling law enforcement personnel. No alcohol is allowed, no off road vehicles, golf carts, etc (even if registered and driving in an appropriate manner). I was asked to leave for taking my trash out in my utility vehicle though I use it for Fed/State government projects throughout the USA. There is a redneck attitude here, so if you're a quiet robot you'll have a good stay. I don't recommend it. We camped at Timberlake Campground in a Motorhome.

Green Acres RV Park, Carthage, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2006 - $11.00
Overall Rating:

Green Acres RV Park is a motorhome/travel trailer and fifth wheel friendly park with good access to other nearby towns along S.R. 59 between Nacogdoches and Marshall, TX. The manager/owners are good folks, good rates. Beware of parking near permanent Mobile Homes due to the lack of space between each MH. Good laundry facilities. Well maintained landscaping. Unpaved roads in the hot season are dusty, real dusty. I'd stay there again for a few days/weeks. We camped at Green Acres RV Park in a Motorhome.
