We were looking for a place to stop overnight but were surprised that we were not at the KOA that we were trying to find. As it turns out this was a very nice quiet park with the tranquil Swatara creek running along side the campsites. This is a good place to rest for a night or two but there wasn't much to do at the campground except swim, fish or canoe in the creek. I'm sure for some that would be a great way to spend an entire vacation. Our camp site was fairly spacious but the layout of the campground seemed to be confusing. It was good that all the RV's were not lined up like trucks in a parking lot. The restrooms and showers, although far away from our site, were clean and usable. The WIFI and TV worked well. A staff person brought us to our site which we always appreciate. There is a snack bar with chicken and sandwiches with delivery service to your camp site. We would choose this KOA if we pass through the Jonestown area again.

This is a very large and noisy campground. I felt that I was being a bother to the person that checked us in. We were handed the map with our site circled and told to locate it ourselves. In a park this size an escort should be provided to help locate your site. The campground has 4 pools and only 1 was open on the very hot day that we were there. The 1 pool that was open was so crowded I don't think it would have been safe to swim in. The restrooms and showers are modern and clean. It is nearly impossible to watch TV or talk to someone because the noise from the military jets that fly over constantly is deafening. Fortunately, we were just passing through the area and only stayed one night. I will not be staying at this campground or in the Virginia beach area again.

This is a large destination campground with lots of activities for families to keep kids busy. The rec hall is large with an ice cream and pizza shop and lots of games and activities for the kids. We were only passing through so we only stayed 1 night, but I'm sure we would have enjoyed staying here several days. The camp site was reasonably level and large enough to enjoy sitting out under the awning. The cable and WIFI worked well and the restrooms and showers were clean considering how busy the campground was. The only concern I had was that the site was on a main road through the campground. It is dirt and gravel and vehicles do not adhere to the 5 MPH speed limit, so they kick up dust into the sites along the road. There were lots of people in the pool but it looked very clean and inviting. I would recommend this KOA to anyone passing through or visiting the Wytheville area.

The rate reflects our discount after using our KOA Value Card points. This is a basic KOA campground that is in a pretty area of Tennessee. The park is laid out well and easy to get around, but it could use a few more shade trees in the front section. The campground wasn't overly busy but it seems that a lot of people like to use this park as an overnight stop because it is clean and easy to get to from the highway. The owners are very friendly and helpful. When we arrived we were greeted by their very affectionate Cocker Spaniel who is in charge of keeping the many rabbits and ducks in line. I was surprised to see that even though our site had a cement slab it was not level. I thought that was the point of having cement slabs. The sites in the front section, which are mostly pull through, are fairly close together but we still had enough room to put the awning and slides out and cook dinner. There was some road noise in the early evening but it was not excessive. The cable worked fine and the restrooms and showers were clean and worked well. We only stayed 1 night so we didn't use any of the other facilities in the park. If I am in the Crossville area again I would probably choose this KOA again.

This campground is a little more expensive than most in the area but it is the perfect example of what camping is all about. Almost all of the sites are on the lake or within a few steps of the lake. It is clean, quiet and, best of all, the sites are very large and shady. Our site was a back-in with a multi-level patio that stepped right down to the water. It was a great spot for fishing right from the patio. The campground only has a few sites with sewer hookups because of TVA environmental restrictions by the lake. They do have an easy to access dump station. The restrooms were clean and easy to use. The boat ramp was large enough for most small craft fishing boats. There is no pool but the beach was clean and a good place to swim. The park is well laid out with many large shade trees. There is no cable or Wi-Fi at each site. With the beautiful lake, the fishing, and the abundant wildlife that rambles through the park we didn't miss the TV or Wi-Fi at all. If you're looking to spend a few days at a clean quiet campsite on a lake I highly recommend this KOA.

I am rating this campground "average" because I know the problem of the lake is not the KOA owners fault, but that does not excuse the condition of the park beyond the lake. This campground is begging to be fix up and maintained properly. The park is located on Oktibbeha County Lake which provides a nice view and a quiet setting. The problem is the county is working on the levees which has caused the lake to recede and the water slide was inoperable. The beach was inaccessible because of the mud. The fishing pier is a safety hazard because it was in poor condition and rather shaky as we tried to walk out to the end. Someone had thrown at least a dozen pine trees (probably last years discarded Christmas trees) in the lake and they were stuck in the mud. The roads around the campground are dirt and gravel and full of potholes and deep ruts. The young man, who I believe was the owner, that checked us in was friendly and helpful but I think he needs to hire some professional help to get this campground up to KOA standards. The restrooms were fairly clean but not what I would expect from a KOA. Our site had a cement patio with lawn furniture but there was no sewer hookup. The cable and WIFI worked OK. We had to use the dump station on the exit road as we were leaving. I understand that this campground gets very busy during the MSU games. We only stayed 1 night at this KOA but I'm sure if this campground gets fixed up and properly maintained it would be a good place to spend a few days relaxing by the lake. I don't mind paying a little more for a quality campground, but this was not a quality campground.

We only stayed here as a planned overnight respite from our drive up the Natchez Trace Parkway so we did not get a chance to use all of the facilities that the park offers. We really appreciated the staff (or manager) person that helped to resolve the mix up with our reservation and our request for a pull through site. She gave us a choice of pull through sites and told us to pick which ever worked best for us. We pick a site and it worked well so we did not have to unhook our toad. This is a large family destination campground with plenty of activities for any size family to enjoy. The pool and the water park are an extra charge but they are a welcome relief on a hot day. The restrooms and showers are clean and well stocked but a park this size needs more restrooms, especially with so many young kids. The cable TV worked well but there was no WIFI at our site. I would highly recommend this RV park to anyone passing through or planning to stay in the Pelahatchie area.

We only stayed in this RV park for 1 night on our way to the Natchez Trace Parkway. This is a clean and well maintained park. The pool was clean and a welcome relief on a very hot day. It was an interesting 1 mile walk along the Mississippi to go to the Vidalia welcome center which is located under the bridge. Our campsite was at the farthest point from the office so I suspect that is why the WIFI didn't work very well. We did not use the restrooms or showers but they looked clean. The roads in the park are mostly gravel and dirt so they were bumpy and not easy to walk on. The sites are paved and level and seemed large enough for any size RV. All of the hookups worked well. I would recommend this RV park to anyone visiting Natchez or the parkway.

This is a very well maintained, clean, quiet, and pleasant RV park. We stayed here for 2 days while visiting the Creole Nature Trail and Lake Charles area. The staff (owners) are very friendly and helpful. The park offers level cement slabs and patios with plenty of room at each site. There are comfortable chairs and a round table at each site. The campground has good security lighting at night. We were very comfortable staying at this RV park. The park is located just outside the busy area of Westlake but easily accessible on the main road. The showers and restrooms were very clean and easy to use. The Wi-Fi and TV worked well. The only thing that would make this RV park better is more shade trees. I would recommend this RV park to anyone visiting the Lake George area.

Although the price was reasonable, there are a lot of things that need improving in this RV park. The sites are too narrow and not level. We had to use several blocks to get level. The camper that pulled in next to us barely had room to put their awning out and eat at the picnic table that they must have brought with them. On the day we were leaving I went out very early in the morning before they came out for breakfast so I wouldn't have to empty my holding tanks in the sewer which was located next to their picnic table. They do not provide picnic tables fire rings or patios at the campsites. There are mostly long term campers at this park. We were surprised to see that there were several old mattresses and broken cabinets outside some of the permanent RVs. The large dumpster that was located next to the main entrance was overflowing with trash for the 2 days we were there. We were not sure why the water in the pool was cloudy. Somebody said it was because it is salt water. It didn't look very inviting. They provided no cable TV and the local TV reception was very poor. The Wi-Fi did not work most of the time. It is unfortunate that the campground is in a congested area, with the traffic around the casino and the shopping plaza and the road noise it distracted from what is really a beautiful cypress lake setting. When we stopped in the office to ask for information about the local area the only person at the desk was too busy trying to resolve a problem on the phone to speak to us. The restrooms and showers were clean and usable. If we are in the Morgan City area again we will not be staying at this RV park.

This is a quiet and well maintained RV park. The only concern I had was that it rained just prior to our arrival and many of the campsites were wet with standing water for the 2 days that we were here. The owners are very friendly and they work hard to keep the park in very good condition. The pool and the lounge area are the highlight of the park. The lounge has a huge TV, comfortable furniture a library and games to play on a rainy day. The restrooms and showers were clean and well lit and easy to use. The beach and Casino are only a few miles away. I would recommend anyone visiting the Bay St. Louis area to stay at this RV park.

This RV park is located on a very busy stretch of road but once you enter the park you feel like you are in a secluded pine forest. This is not a destination park for young families but it is a very clean, quiet and relaxing RV park. Other than the pool and catch and release fishing there isn't much else to do here. The beautiful beaches and large variety of restaurants etc. are all very close. The camp sites are level but a little close. The gazebo that is on the pond is a relaxing place to sit and watch the turtles and other aquatic creatures in the pond. The screened in pool was clean and refreshing. The WIFI did not work well. The restrooms and showers were clean but the lighting in the men's room was very dim. I would recommend this RV park to anyone visiting the Panama City area.

We can usually count on a KOA to be a better quality campground. I am sorry to say this one did not meet our expectations. We stayed at this KOA for 5 days over the July 4th weekend. The campground is located on a very busy road that is difficult to pull out onto with a large RV. The pull through site that we were assigned was not large enough to accommodate our motorhome and car. I had to park my car sideways in front of the motorhome to avoid sticking out into the main road. The sites are also too close together. I barely had room to put the awning out without overhanging the next site. The sewer drain for the neighboring site was next to my picnic table. Fortunately the person in that site didn't put their sewer hose out until the morning they were leaving. The shower stalls were small and the restrooms should have been cleaned more frequently on a busy holiday weekend. The pool was clean but was too small for this size campground. The pool was overcrowded most of the time we were there. The shuffleboard courts were very difficult to get to and we had to go to the office and find someone to clean the leaves and branches off before we could play. There is a very nice pond with ducks and geese and wildlife. The problem is you would have to walk through another campsite to get to the pond. That is something we would not do. There is a permanent section and a short stay section in this park. The permanent section is located in the back of the park and large and vehicles go in and out all day and cause excessive traffic by the short stay sites. When we inquired about a specific restaurant in the area the staff in the office made no attempt to help us locate it. The best I can say is the WIFI worked OK most of the time. I will not choose this campground if I visit the Savannah area again.

This was just an overnight stay so we did not use any of the facilities. The campground is located between 2 major roads so there was a bit of noise. The site was level and all of the hookups worked well. The gnats were so bad we could not sit outside in the evening. The gentleman that checked us in was very friendly and accommodating. He offered us the discount even though I couldn't find my Good Sam's card. The miniature golf course was in need of repair and unusable. This park could be really nice with a little fixing up. This was a convenient over night stop for us.
