29 Palms Golf Resort, Twentynine Palms, California

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This is not my favorite kind of park, but it worked well for this stop. Having easy access to Joshua Tree State Park was our main goal. The park was easy in and out for our 40' fifth wheel. Lots of pull thrus. We also drive a car and had to pay extra $7 a day to have it here. It's a clean park, they pick up your garbage every morning, have a very large laundry room, 1.75 washers, $1.00 dryers. The park is pretty plain, esp where pull thrus are. Would stay here again if passing through, but not to stay any length of time.. We camped at 29 Palms Golf Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

We enjoyed hiking in Joshua Tree and taking the tram up the San Juanito mountain in Palm Springs for more hiking. Town of 29 palms has a good size grocery store.

Collier Memorial State Park, Chiloquin, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here and really enjoyed it. Very pretty well maintained state park. Easy access from Hwy 97. They have several nice size sites that are back in and several pull throughs, though we wouldn't fit in but a couple of those because of the curve to the drive. Everything worked well with our FHU site. We would stay here again for a few days. We camped at Collier Memorial State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Mono Vista RV Park, Lee Vining, California

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a quiet older park. Pull thru is on gravel, but when you pull out, you drive through grass. Only problem might be if it was very wet. They ask you to only let dogs "go" in dog walk. Kind of hard to get puppy to hold it until we walk over to the specific area. No problems driving our 40' fifth wheel on their roads. We did have to unhook to keep vehicle off the grass. No problems though. We'd stay here again, but it seemed pricey. Hey, it's California, and choices were limited. We camped at Mono Vista RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Boulder Creek RV Resort, Lone Pine, California

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful, well thought out park. Very easy to maneuver our 40' fifth wheel. There are lots of trees planted around the perimeter and in between spaces. Very nice clean dog run. We would gladly stay here longer. We camped at Boulder Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Fender's River Road Resort, Needles, California

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

This a small park with a motel. There are about 6-7 pull through sites near the entrance. Word of caution, these sites require you to be close to the motel to pull through your site. No problem early in the day, but if you are coming in later, like after 4pm, it could be difficult getting into your spot because of the cars that will park in front of their motel rooms. Also there are about 6 sites right down on the Colorado river that have a very nice view. Not big rig friendly though. We enjoyed this little park and would stay again. We camped at Fender's River Road Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice big rig friendly park. Easy to maneuver into the site. Workers were friendly and helpful. Nice clean facilities. Right on the Colorado river, they have some nice sites overlooking the river and a sandy shore. We camped at Arizona Oasis RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

This was an affordable, easy overnight stop off of I75. Office staff was pleasant, site was a nice pull thru. We didn't need to unhook our fifth wheel. Exactly what we were looking for! We camped at Raccoon Valley RV Park - Escapees Rainbow Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park, White Springs, Florida

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is the nicest state park we have ever had the pleasure of staying in. Not one bad site here. We are in a 100' very level pull through site surrounded by palm trees. It is a beautiful park and very well maintained. Access was easy off the interstate and the interior roads are easy to maneuver for our 40' fifth wheel. They have 50 amp available, but we stayed in a 30 amp due to late arrival. We camped at Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground, Yuma, Tennessee

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $12.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for a month, and we were so impressed with the owners and employees. They are all very accommodating and friendly to everyone. The sites are big rig friendly and all pull through. The park is just off of Highway 40. Wifi and cable were good. The sites in the back were the nicest, but for an overnight, the front sites are super easy in and out.

We did not use the bathrooms or the pool. We camped at Parkers Crossroads RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Overall Rating:

We have stayed here for several weeks now. Very easy access from main highway. Our fifth wheel is 40', no problem maneuvering around. The park is very clean, several longer stay RV's, but the park is kept very clean, sites level. Staff is very nice and helpful. Great park for passing through, but no real activities. We camped at Lake Haven Retreat in a Fifth Wheel.
