Elkhorn Campground, Elkhorn, Manitoba

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Full hookup price close to Canada Highway 1. Sites can be reserved, or you can pull in, find one that is not reserved, fill out a form and throw your form and money in a box nailed to a pole by the campground rules board. Site was plenty long, gravel and fairly level. Utilities worked well. Nice stopover. We camped at Elkhorn Campground in a Motorhome.

Marathon Park, Wausau, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Good experience. The. Ampground is convenient to shopping and restaurants. The sites are mostly shaded. Many but not all sites are big rig friendly. The dump station is a bit dofficult to access given metal posts and trees; made it with our 40' mh but not sure about anything bigger. The water supply is on the same lane as the dump station, near the end of that lane. The bathroom codes are currently 415 for men and 514 for women. Good reception for broadcast tv and for Verizon cell service. We found it to be very quiet over our 4 day stay. Sites were available at all times including the weekend. Staffing is basically non-existent; Wausau police do patrol the park. We camped at Marathon Park in a Motorhome.

Sleepy Hollow Farm CG, Oshkosh, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

This is a hard campground to review. The other reviews are too old to be helpful. The campground is open year round. It is walkable only to the EAA, but a lot of shopping and restaurants are nearby including the outlet mall across the highway. All types of sites and cabins are available. The sites at the front are shaded and full hook-up which seems to be rare around Oshkosh. Some are 50 amp, some only 30. The 8 showers are each in individual rooms. The staff we met were extremely friendly and helpful. There was no staff here when we arrived; I think it is only staffed during special events so you need to call ahead. We called and were told to pick a site; they would catch up with us later. They accept only cash or personal checks. Sites were mostly level, grass with some gravel. The campground is one of the quietest we've ever stayed in. There are no child oriented amenities such as a playground. The grounds were clean but overgrown; they mowed most of it while we were here. All the connections worked well. A quiet pleasant stay for us. We camped at Sleepy Hollow Farm CG in a Motorhome.

Friar Tuck's nearby had great food at very reasonable prices. Menominee Park in downtown Oshkosh had a really nice paved path by the lakefront if you like to walk.

Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park, Belleville, Michigan

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a fairgrounds with a campground included on the grounds. It is very open and sunny. The sites are grass, mostly back-in with a few pull-throughs. There has been a lot of rain in the area, and some sites were still quite soft when we arrived. The staff in the office were helpful and professional; most concerned about getting us into a site that our diesel pusher would have a solid surface. Full hook-ups. No playground but lots of paved and gravel interior roads and grassy space for kids to run, play and ride bikes. Campers everything from pickup shells to 45 foot buses. Very close to a number of fast food and sit down restaurants, plus a gate/sidewalk out the back to walk to the Walmart. Picnic tables and fire rings provided. Very nice stay. We camped at Wayne County Fairgrounds & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Ives Run COE, Tioga, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Great experience in a full hook up site. By far the fullest campground we have seen in the past month, so early reservations recommended. Lots of space to walk, ride bikes, etc. Nice kids playground. Lake for fishing. Easy access to our site #57. We camped at Ives Run COE in a Motorhome.

Little Buffalo State Park, Newport, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

This time of year, the campground is self service. You must make advance reservations. We travel in a 40' motorhome towing a car, so we had picked a pull thru site. These sites are not really big rig friendly. They are not level. The best big rig sites are 1,2,34, 36 and 38. These sites are back in but they are large and level with water and electric hookups. There are also 2 paved handicapped sites near the bathhouse which are meant for folks with handicapped permits. The campground is up a steep hill from the main part of the park which offers fishing, boating, a water park, playground etc. As others have noted, these amenities are not walkable from the campground. A new and very nice bathhouse was built last year. We camped at Little Buffalo State Park in a Motorhome.

Philadelphia South KOA (formerly Timberlane Campground), Clarksboro, New Jersey

Date of Stay: April, 2017 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is converting to KOA. Prices reflect that. It is very easy to access and convenient to Philadelphia. Sites in the front section are back in and close together. Sites in rhe back section are pull through. We travel in a motorhome towing a car. The pull through sites have the services all the way at the back of the site. You will not be able to leave a car attached unless you have and use long extensions. The pull through sites have picnic tables on concrete slabs. They are narrow to pull in and most concrete slabs have been broken up by folks driving across them to enter their site. Verizon connectivity was good. Cable was great, extensive set of stations including sports networks. We camped at Philadelphia South KOA (formerly Timberlane Campground) in a Motorhome.

Diamond Lake Resort, Owensboro, Kentucky

Date of Stay: November, 2016 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed one night while visiting friends in the area. All sites are back-in but large and long. Full hookup and the utilities worked well. It is important to position your rig carefully to be able to reach your connections, which may still require extensions. Great recreational facilities. Store and snack bar, even this time of year. The two lane road to access is narrow and no shoulder but fine if you just take it slow. We had a site on the lake so the satellite worked fine but would not work from many sites due to trees. Our Verizon voice connection was marginal; data was ok for email and web browsing. Wifi cost $4 per day per device so we didn't try it. We found interior roads to be adequate. We camped at Diamond Lake Resort in a Motorhome.

Bear River RV Park, Stewart, British Columbia

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $31.00
Overall Rating:

Reviews are confusing regarding price; this is what we paid with Good Sam discount. Sites were not ideal as 2 sites share a center pedestal but all services work well. Did not use Wifi but had no trouble getting 4G coverage on Verizon phones and hotspot. Some sites are shaded, some open. All fairly level with gravel and plenty long. No pull throughs. Really nice RV wash with concrete floor, brushes and $2 buys a long time. Check-in was efficient; we had a reservation. No other choices in area if you want full hook-up which includes cable TV. We camped at Bear River RV Park in a Motorhome.

Yukon Motel & Lakeshore Resort, Teslin, Yukon

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $24.00
Overall Rating:

Sites are definitely 30 amp and gravel, with water at sites. Many are pull through, fairly level but not perfectly so. Picnic tables, grass and small trees between many sites. Easy access from road and within for our 40 ft motorhome towing a car. Nice dump station. There are 20 amp sites available for a lower price but even the 30 amp sites are the most affordable we've seen up here. Nice restaurant/lounge on site as well as gift shop with wildlife gallery. Right on a lake, very quiet. Stayed both coming and going to Alaska. We camped at Yukon Motel & Lakeshore Resort in a Motorhome.

Overall Rating:

Lovely campground right actoss the street from the river. There are 3 50 amp pull thru sites, 2 30 amp pull thru sites and the rest are back in. Sites are full hookup, water, electric and sewer. Connections are at the back of the sites, perfect for trailers but will need extensions if you are a motirhome towing and want to stay hooked up. Sites are level gravel with a grass picnic table area beside. Property has a restaurant and lounge. Totally quiet while we were there. Highly recommended. Make a reservation if you want a pull through. We camped at Hotel Carmacks and RV Park in a Motorhome.

Kenai Princess RV Park, Cooper Landing, Alaska

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

Location is great, totally quiet with mountain views. Site was level and easy to access. All hookups were convenient, although power was a bit low due to folks running ac. Small campground, sold out the entire time we were there so make reservations. The only campground we have seen where you are welcome to wash your rig in your site, so bring your brushes. Lodge right up the hill with awesome deck overlooking Kenai River, rocking chairs, bar/grill area with deck seating and a menu with prices comparable to everywhere else we have been in Alaska. Very welcoming staff at lodge and campground. Wifi ok, not great. Verizon reception mediocre. Cable great. Would definitely return to the campground or lodge. We camped at Kenai Princess RV Park in a Motorhome.

Definitely walk up to the deck at the lodge and enjoy the view. River float trip was relaxing and beautiful; find a way to get out on the river. Russian River Falls trail takes you to a viewpoint to see the salmon jumping; easy walking but 2.3 miles each way. Lots of fishing opportunities.

Baby Nugget RV Park, Watson Lake, Yukon

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed 2 nights in a pull through site with a 40 ft motorhome and toad, site easily long enough. Water and electric good; they had 50 amp but we went with 30 since we were not running AC. Site level and shaded. Good restaurant on premises. Good cable TV. Wifi worked fine in buildings near office. Only 2 negatives are the distance from Watson Lake and complete lack of cell signal--had to drive a few miles back toward Watson Lake for it to work. Dump station and RV wash both well located and convenient. We will stay again. We camped at Baby Nugget RV Park in a Motorhome.

Northern Rockies Lodge , Muncho Lake, British Columbia

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Many of the sites are surrounding a large shed in a muddy parking lot. Ours was one of those. We had water and electric in a back in site with no place to put our toad. Site was so narrow it would have had slides touching if anyone had been parked by us. Front desk staff only interested in selling tours or a more expensive site; don't even give you a campground map to find your site. Dump can only be used if you block in other folks from their site. Would not stay here again. We camped at Northern Rockies Lodge in a Motorhome.
