Fiesta Grande RV Resort (55+ park), Casa Grande, Arizona

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Nice level pull throughs with clean gravel pads. The only downside was the office closes at 4pm and even though you can book and pay in advance online, the place is big enough you really need someone to lead you through. It was convienently located and the people were very nice, but this is mainly a permanent community with a small section for RVers. We camped at Fiesta Grande RV Resort (55+ park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Road Runner RV Park (formerly Parkview Mobile Home & RV Park), Fort Stockton, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

The people who checked us in were very nice. The park is close to the highway and the price was right at $20 a night. The sites themselves were grass though and the entire place wasn't very well kept. For one night sleeping though it was just fine and again the people who ran the place seemed very nice. We camped at Road Runner RV Park (formerly Parkview Mobile Home & RV Park) in a Fifth Wheel.

Circus Circus RV Park (formerly Las Vegas / Circus Circus KOA), Las Vegas, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

It's a parking lot, but it's on the strip and it is better maintained than the last time we were here. Found a pair of men's underwear in the rocks next to our site though, so that wasn't a great way to start. The pool was actually nice although the hot tub wasn't working when we stayed here which seems to be a common occurence. We camped at Circus Circus RV Park (formerly Las Vegas / Circus Circus KOA) in a Fifth Wheel.

Tonopah Station RV Park, Tonopah, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

My major issue with this park is the sites are not level at all. One of the few benefits of staying in a parking lot type campground is level sites, but these were really bad. I did like that there was a nice restaurant in the casino and the people were friendly, but the sites themselves were not good. We camped at Tonopah Station RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There is a very nice, reasonably priced grocery store that is within walking distance of the casino. The restaurant inside was good, although a little pricey.

New Frontier RV Park, Winnemucca, Nevada

Date of Stay: October, 2018 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

Big fan of this park. They accept Passport America for two night stays (you have to back into a site) and the park spaces are all really great and level. It's close to the freeway, they have all the amenities, and a restaurant within walking distance if you are so inclined. We camped at New Frontier RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Ohanapecosh Campground (NPS Campground), Mount Rainier National Park, Washington

Date of Stay: August, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Loved our site #16 as it was right by the river and very large. Appreciated that no generators were allowed in our loop and that they provided bear boxes for the food. My only complaint was the restrooms were really dirty. No paper towels, poop all over one of the toilets, and the hand soap was a dirty bar on a string that was tied near the sink. I know it's rustic camping, but the bathrooms need more attention. We camped at Ohanapecosh Campground (NPS Campground) in a Tent.

Heartland Campground, Campbellsville, Kentucky

Date of Stay: December, 2017 - $1.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here when we worked at Amazon and had a great experience. The owners are very nice and made getting our mail very easy. The water is clean and pressure is good and electric is very strong 50 amp. Can't beat how close it is to the place we worked, and since it was full of other work kampers we felt very safe and comfortable. We camped at Heartland Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Pammel Park, Winterset, Iowa

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $18.00

Be careful coming in because there is a twelve foot tunnel near the entrance. Loved the park, super clean, hosts were great and the price was fantastic. Nice jumping off point to see the various covered bridges and the John Wayne Museum. We camped at Pammel Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Shawnee Campgrounds, Topeka, Kansas

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a sel-pay park with over 100 sites many of which have lake views and 50 amp. We did have a tough time finding a site large enough for our 40 foot fifth wheel but eventually managed to squeeze into 17 although we were facing the wrong way. Views of the lake were amazing and they had hiking trails and beaches. Really enjoyed our overnight here and would highly recommend it. Oh and the dumpstation was one of the cleanest we have ever seen. We camped at Lake Shawnee Campgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

RJ's RV Park, Garden City, Kansas

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Definitely not worth the $30 they charged.  No one was in the office when we pulled in and several of the sites were blocked because the power didn't work.  We finally pulled into one open one but when we discovered the breaker was missing, we had to move. The turns were really tight so it was hard for us to find a spot we could get into. The entire campground was very run down and honestly the only interesting thing about it was it was right next to a wind turbine plant and we could see the various parts laying on the ground next door. That was the highlight which should tell you something. We camped at RJ's RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Centennial RV Park and Campground, Montrose, Colorado

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Nice park with beautiful trees and grass. The staff was friendly and we met the new owners who were very nice. Somce road noise, but not to bad and good ATT signal here at the park. They also provide Wifi (we didn't use it) and have laundry facilities. The non discounted price seems very high, but we felt it was a good value for an overnight stay with the Passport America discount. Lots of pullthroughs so very easy in and out. We camped at Centennial RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Willard Bay State Park, Cottonwood Campground, Willard, Utah

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

There was no one in the booth when we arrived at 3pm so we had to come up with $30 in cash. The sites themselves were large which was nice, but they were not level. I was really disappointed there was no view of the water although I took a short nature walk and had beautiful views of the bay. Full hookups was really great and our ATT signal was very strong but we were close enough to the highway that we could hear road noise. Overall I just felt it was overpriced for a one night stop over although I could see the value if you were going to take advantage of the water. We camped at Willard Bay State Park, Cottonwood Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Catfish Junction RV Park & Campgrounds, Huntington, Oregon

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $16.00
Overall Rating:

Really friendly owners and the views were fantastic! If you have a larger rig you might want to call ahead as not all spots will accommodate big rigs. The sites are extremely level which is great because we were just there for one night. We had 1 bar ATT signal which worked and the 30 amp was just fine. We camped at Catfish Junction RV Park & Campgrounds in a Fifth Wheel.

Country Roads RV Park, Grande Prairie, Alberta

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

I really liked this RV Park. They had a cornfield maze, trampoline for kids, and a nice store with ice cream and pie. The owners were also extremely nice. The sites were long but a tad narrow, but I really liked that they had either free wifi or pay wifi where you could get high-speed internet for an additional $5. The sites themselves were not the greatest, but everything else about the park was very good. We camped at Country Roads RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Glowing Embers RV Park, Edmonton, Alberta

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $47.00
Overall Rating:

This campground is in an industrial area of the city and hard to get to. It is full of mostly seasonal people and the overnight folks are in the back row. The two young ladies that helped us on the front desk were excellent, and the grounds were very well kept, but the sites themselves were not great and most importantly the Wifi did not work at all at the sites. It was also very expensive in relation to what you received. One benefit is they have an RV bay and technicians on site along with propane sales. We camped at Glowing Embers RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
