Pioneer Acadian Village Campground and RV Park, Breaux Bridge, Louisiana

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

Great CG to stop at. Friendly service at check-in and very nice pull-through for our one night stay. Very clean facilities. Site was level. All we had to do was to hook-up our connections which were place in a good spot for our 5th wheel. We will definitely stop here again if we are in the area. Wi-fi was strong at our site and easy to use. We camped at Pioneer Acadian Village Campground and RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Hidden Valley RV Park, Von Ormy, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

Very good place to stay. Friendly staff and very helpful with local things to do. It was very quiet and peaceful where we stayed. We did have problems with wi-fi dropping us a lot. The long gravel road was dusty. But given a choice between driving down a long road or parking near an interstate, I would choose this campground every time. We will stay here again if we are in the area. We camped at Hidden Valley RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Fort Stockton RV Park, Fort Stockton, Texas

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $34.00
Overall Rating:

I don't think that I have ever gave any CG a 10 before but this CG was the best that we have ever stopped at. I only regret that we only stayed one night. The service was great. Location was very good. Everything went exactly as I had been told when I made my reservations. Cable and Wi-fi was very good. Hook-ups were very easy to reach. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area and we will stay longer next time. Also the food was great in their restaurant. It was very easy to just walk from our camper to their restaurant and the service was quick and price was great too. Other CG's should take a lesson from them. We camped at Fort Stockton RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Midway RV Park, Dexter, New Mexico

Date of Stay: September, 2017 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

Will not stay here again. Was promised full hook pull through site when I made reservations. We got a full hook-up, back-in site when we got there. Also there was dog droppings all over the place with no one making any attempt to clean it up. There was one full timer that had their dog tied outside of their trailer, where it barked at everything that moved.

Sewer and other hook-up was place at the rear of the site making it hard to run my connections. Site was very narrow with no room to put my awning out nor any room to stay outside if I had wanted to. The flies and cow manure smell kept us from staying outside except to get into our vehicle and leave. I don't think that the cow smell was the fault of the CG but it did not help the situation.

While this CG did have a good location outside of town that was the only thing going for it. We camped at Midway RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Hook-ups were okay. Interior roads were rough and hilly. Site was not level and a little hard to pull into. Very old campground. Could use some upgrades especially to the roads. We camped at Hidden Valley RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park. Easy pull-through and easy to level camper. Wi-fi was weak at our site and dropped us off a lot of times. Also the cable went out twice. We would probable use this campground again if we were in the area. We camped at Ute Mountain Casino RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Steinaker State Park Campground, Vernal, Utah

This is a great place to stay. Very Quiet and clean. Fairly easy to navigate. Had a slight problem with some tree limbs but the Camp Host took care of the problem very quickly. Pull through was easy in and out. No problems navigating the interior roads. Will return if ever in this area. We camped at Steinaker State Park Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground), Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

Would not stay here again. The dirt roads are terrible and nothing is being done to correct them. While it is a great location if you need full hook-ups. Driving the dirt roads to get out of the CG is horrible. We were there almost two weeks and we saw no effort being made to fix the thousand of holes in the dirt roads. Can't understand that with what they charge per night there is not more that can be done to upgrade this CG. Verrry tight sites and just enough room for camper and vehicle. This would be a great CG if they would just complete some much needed upgrades. Also the Sewer connection is ridiculous. The connection is tooo high for campers. Check-in staff were great and should be commended. But CG needs upgrades for prices they charge. Some roads are paved but we were not lucky enough to get on those sites. We paid the same price as the paved but had to contend with rough dirt roads. We camped at Fishing Bridge Campground (NPS Campground) in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice and clean CG. Easy entrance and interior roads were easy to navigate. But the pull-through sites are Very Close together. I could hear the TV in the camper next to us while we were in bed trying to go to sleep and they did not have the sound turned up too loud. The sites are just too close for me. I will probable look for another CG if we are ever in this location again. We camped at Lincoln Road RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

North American RV Park & Yurt Village, Coram, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Great place to stay to see this area. Wi-fi was ok but kept dropping out at night. Site needed a little leveling but not bad. The pull-through was just big enough for my 38' 5th wheel and truck. Interior roads were tight but manageable. Very little shade within the CG. A little too expensive for me. Will probable look for another CG if in the area. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Tips for other Campers:

Custer State Park is huge and you will need at least one full day if not two days to see the park. Go on the "wild life loop" road. we saw many buffalo's, prairie dogs, deer and begging burros. Go on some of the dirt roads that are open to the public. We saw several Elk while on one of these roads. The "Needles" hwy is one that I will not forget. There are a lot of small towns, like Deadwood, Hill City, Spearfish, Keystone, Hot Springs and Custer that you should include.
