Texarkana RV Park & Event Center, Texarkana, Texas

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We have used this RV park several times as an overnight stay and always enjoy our time here. WiFi works very well! Check-in is friendly and efficient and the roads are wide and paved for easy access. The sites are long, level, angled pull-through, on crushed rock with a small patio and FHU, but are very close together. All utilities worked well. There were no trees in our area, but a few sites along the perimeter had shade. The bathroom/shower rooms are spacious, beautiful and clean. There is a small dog area and some green space along the perimeter of the park. It is also easy access to I-30. This is a newer park and is well maintained. We camped at Texarkana RV Park & Event Center in a Motorhome.

Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park, West Memphis, Arkansas

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

This is a fun campground to stay in due to its location right on the Mississippi River where you can sit out and watch the river barge traffic all day and night. It is just a few miles off the freeway on a good road. Most sites are long, level, pull-through, FHU, gravel or concrete, and slanted for easy access and a view. Some sites are shaded and some are open. Clean bathrooms and a laundry room are available. WiFi was weak. There is lots of green space for walking a dog. It is also only a few miles to downtown Memphis and a Walmart and Kroger are nearby. We camped at Tom Sawyer's Mississippi River Park in a Motorhome.

Nashville I-24 Campground, Smyrna, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older RV park located near to Nashville (20 miles) and 2 easy miles from I-24 in a nice suburban neighborhood. Staff and other campers were all friendly and helpful. Most sites are FHU pull-through with back-in sites around the perimeter. Sites are somewhat level, gravel, and very close together with no grass nor landscaping in between. There are shade trees which are well trimmed. Bath houses were clean and modern. The laundry room needs lots of work. Our utilities worked fairly well with low power one afternoon when it was really hot. WiFi worked most of the time. There is a small grassy unfenced dog area. I would stay here again if need be. We camped at Nashville I-24 Campground in a Motorhome.

The Creature Comforts Kennel was close by and was a great place to leave our dog for the day while we were sightseeing. We really enjoyed the Jack Daniels Distillery tour in Lynchburg, about an hours drive away.

Melton Hill Dam Campground, Lenoir City, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

This is a lovely campground located on a bluff above Melton Hill Lake just upstream from the dam. Most campsites are for small to medium sized RVs and tents but a couple of sites would accommodate a larger RV. Our 36 ft motor home would have fit nicely in sites 1-10. There are also 4 very spacious handicap sites. Sites are level, paved or packed gravel, both back-in or pull through, with FHU or W/E. The tall shade trees were well trimmed. There is a sandy swimming beach and walking trail. The bathhouses were modern and clean. There was no WiFi. This was a good location for visiting the American Museum of Science and Energy in Oak Ridge and the Museum of Appalachia in Clinton. We camped at Melton Hill Dam Campground in a Motorhome.

Markin Glen County Park, Kalamazoo, Michigan

Date of Stay: May, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice, newer, county campground located just north of Kalamazoo and only a couple of miles from highway 131. Check-in staff were efficient and friendly. Sites are large and paved with grass in between and both pull-through and back-in are available. All sites have full hookups with 30/50 amp power. The bathrooms are modern and clean. There is also a lake for fishing and swimming, a nice play ground, and a walking/biking trail. There is no WiFi. There is a tree at every site but they are still small so the sites are open. Close to Kalamazoo, shopping and restaurants. We camped at Markin Glen County Park in a Motorhome.

Fayetteville RV Resort (formerly Fayetteville / Wade KOA), Wade, North Carolina

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent RV Park located just off I-95 but road noise was not a problem. We got there after office hours and the night check in was very well organized. Sites are spacious, very long, level, packed gravel pull-through with FHU. All utilities worked well although the wifi was weak at times. The large shade trees are well trimmed. There is a nice large dog park, pool, very large nice playground, and other activities. The bathrooms/showers and laundry room are modern and clean. Everything is very well maintained. We camped at Fayetteville RV Resort (formerly Fayetteville / Wade KOA) in a Motorhome.

Jacksonville North / St. Marys KOA, Kingsland, Georgia

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

This is an adequate campground conveniently located off I-95, but road noise was not a problem. Check in was friendly and efficient with an escort to site. All sites are level pull-through with various lengths and utilities. Most of the park is under thick pine trees that are fairly well trimmed. Sites are sand/dirt, close together, and the road is very rough. The bathrooms/showers and laundry are old and worn but clean. The power worked well, the water pressure was low and the water had a sulphur odor and taste. The cable also worked fine except it did not have ESPN. The basic free Tengo wifi also worked well. There is a nice medium size dog park, a nice swimming pool, and other activities for children. It is okay for a short stay but is way over priced. We camped at Jacksonville North / St. Marys KOA in a Motorhome.

Encore Sunshine Holiday Daytona RV Resort, Ormond Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Your campsite in this RV Park will determine your experience here. Try to get an elite site with a long, level concrete pad and FHU. The standard sites are on grass and are prone to flooding (keep an eye on the weather), and are W/E only with pump out service offered twice a week. Check in was friendly and efficient, roads are narrow, sites are close together, and turns are tight. The electric power worked well, the water was slightly yellow, we were able to use our satellite TV, and the wifi is not free. Unfortunately it had rained a couple of days before we got there so the dog park and one of the dump stations were flooded and unusable. All of our neighbors were friendly and helpful. This is a good location for exploring Daytona Beach. Hull's Seafood Market and Restaurant is nearby and very good. We camped at Encore Sunshine Holiday Daytona RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Stagecoach RV Park, St Augustine, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very nice RV Park conveniently located just off of I-95, but road noise was not a problem. Check in was friendly and efficient. Sites are long, level, packed gravel, FHU, with 30/50 amps. Most are pull-through with adequate spacing and one shade tree and grass between each site. Utilities and cable worked well as did the wifi most of the time. Bathrooms/showers and laundry room were in good condition and clean. There is also a nice large dog park and green areas at the edge of the park for walking a large dog. Shopping and restaurants are nearby and historic St. Augustine is just a short drive away. We camped at Stagecoach RV Park in a Motorhome.

Wekiwa Springs State Park, Apopka, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very large state park located next to a busy suburban area, so lots of stores and restaurants are nearby. All sites are adequately sized back-ins on sand/dirt. It is helpful to use a large outdoor mat to keep the sand out of your RV. Sites in the 1-30 loop are FHU with 20/30/50 amps. Some of the sites in the 31-60 loop are also FHU with others only W/E-30 amp. The campground is in a sandhill forest with heavy shade, but the trees are well trimmed. Bathrooms/showers are up to date and clean. There are miles of hiking/biking trails. The springs and swimming area are lovely and there were very few people there mid-week in January. We camped at Wekiwa Springs State Park in a Motorhome.

Clearwater / Lake Tarpon KOA, Palm Harbor, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $66.00
Overall Rating:

This is a newly remodeled, attractive RV park with FHU back-in sites on crushed gravel, sloped for run-off. All utilities and wifi worked well. There is a pool, modern and clean bathrooms/showers and laundry area. There is also a small fenced dog park and limited space for walking a large dog. The park is in an urban setting so space is at a premium - roads are narrow and sites are close together. However it is landscaped attractively. It is located right off US Hwy 19, but road noise was not a problem. It is convenient to shopping, and Tarpon Springs Sponge Docks, Tampa and St. Petersburg (The Dali Museum). We camped at Clearwater / Lake Tarpon KOA in a Motorhome.

Paradise Oaks RV Resort, Bushnell, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a large, busy RV Resort with mostly very well kept long term back-in sites. There are 18 long, level, FHU, pull-through sites in the front for short term stays. There is some road noise and occasional loud train noise. The bathrooms/showers, laundry and meeting rooms are clean and nice. There is a pool, 2 small dog parks, pickle ball, and lots of other activities. A good place for a short or long term stay. We camped at Paradise Oaks RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Florida Grande Motor Coach Resort, Webster, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

This is a beautiful RV Resort located in a quiet, rural setting. All sites are very spacious back-ins with FHU. There is a club house with beautiful bathrooms/showers, a laundry, pool, and so on. The back half of the property is not yet developed so there is lots of space to run and to exercise a large dog. There is no road nor train noise, just some cows next door and lots of stars at night. This is a great place for a short or long term stay. We camped at Florida Grande Motor Coach Resort in a Motorhome.

Point South KOA, Yemassee, South Carolina

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $60.00
Overall Rating:

This is a nice RV park located conveniently to I-95. Check in was friendly and efficient in their cute office with a wine bar and coffee bar, and escort to site. Sites are pull-through, level, gravel/dirt and of various lengths. Lots of trimmed trees so satellite did not work but the cable worked well. Wifi also worked well. Bathrooms/showers and laundry are modern and clean. Moderate sized fenced dog park but lots of trails for walking a large dog. The park is overpriced for this area but it is in a good location, the staff is excellent, and the facilities and utilities were good. We camped at Point South KOA in a Motorhome.

Lumberton/I-95 KOA Campground, Lumberton, North Carolina

Date of Stay: January, 2018 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Very pleasant RV park located convenient to I-95. Check in at the office with a camp store and gift shop was friendly and efficient and we were escorted to our site. Nearly all of the sites are FHU, pull-through, level, of various lengths, with 30 or 50 amps on gravel/dirt with grass in between. Some have well trimmed shade trees and others are open and satellite friendly. There is no cable but there are many OTA channels. The bathrooms/showers are modern, spacious and very clean, as is the large laundry room. There was a small dog park and green space around the park perimeter for walking a dog. Road noise was not a problem for us. Also, the Wifi worked well most of the time. This is a convenient and pleasant stop for an overnight but would be fine for a longer stay as well. We camped at Lumberton/I-95 KOA Campground in a Motorhome.
