Tranquil Timbers Camping Resort, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed under an Encore discount. This is a nice large park with primarily RV permanent sites, which are well maintained. Dirt roads, but no dust was thrown. Busy on the weekends, but quiet during the week. The staff were very nice and helpful. Location is excellent for visiting Sturgeon Bay. Located mid Door County. Easy travel north to Washington Island and south to Green Bay. Verizon varied. Unable to get satellite. FHU 50 amp site. We camped at Tranquil Timbers Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park, Wolf River, Fremont, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here under an Encore discount. A great place if you have kids. There is the pond with lots of geese, and the lake. A large swimming pool with a slide. Activities on the weekend. We had a 50 amp, W/E. Good Verizon and Direct TV. Located not too far from Appleton or Oshkosh for day trips. The laundry only had 1 washer and 1 dryer, so we went to laundromat in town. We would stay there again if in the area. We camped at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park, Wolf River in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Enjoyed the Castle Museum in Appleton. They request that you not leave pets in the RV when not present, even if they do not bark. That was an inconvenience for us.

Plymouth Rock Camping Resort, Plymouth, Wisconsin

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed in the 50 amp, W/E overnight site with our Thousand Trails discount. The site was long an flat. Roads in the park are extremely narrow, and all one way. Uncomfortable driving through in the motor home. The park was mostly annual sites. People and staff were friendly. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Good satellite and Verizon. We would stay here again when in the area. We camped at Plymouth Rock Camping Resort in a Motorhome.

Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground, West Bend, Wisconsin

Overall Rating:

This is a family oriented park. Nice lake with fishing. Site was not level. Had picnic table and fire ring. Staff friendly and helpful. Able to get satellite and good Verizon. Lots of families for Memorial Day weekend, but the park was quiet. We would stay here again if in the area. We camped at Lake Lenwood Beach & Campground in a Motorhome.

Lyon County Garvin Park , Marshall, Minnesota

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small county park with two campgrounds and a horsepark. The south campground has the dump station. Water is available at the horsepark. The roads are dirt, but well maintained. The sites in the south campground were long enough, but it was mostly full of families. The north campground only had one site long enough for our 40 ft MH. We had trouble leveling, but the sites are nice and it is not crowded. The campground was quiet. Good Verizon and Direct TV. We would stay here again. We camped at Lyon County Garvin Park in a Motorhome.

We stayed under our Encore discount. This is a nice place, but has n sewer. There is a dump station. W/E only, although we had 50 amp. We were able to get satellite and good Verizon. Desoto R V Campground, Missouri Valley, Iowa

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small park in a front yard. Full hookup 50 amp, but no amenities. The owners were very nice and were helpful, but the park is overpriced for what you get. Site was flat, we were able to get satellite and Verizon was good. We would not stay here again due to the price. We camped at Desoto R V Campground in a Motorhome.

Lakeside Camping, North Platte, Nebraska

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We liked this park and would stay there for several days. We were just passing through this trip. Staff were nice and very helpful. The park was clean and well maintained with new dirt fill in the roads. The park has new owners. It is located right off the interstate, so there is some noise, but it did not bother us. We had a large pull thru, 50 amp FHU with the PA rate. Site was flat. Good Verizon and Direct TV. We will stay here again. We camped at Lakeside Camping in a Motorhome.

Paradise RV Resort (55+ Resort), Sun City, Arizona

Date of Stay: November, 2015 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent park. Friendly people. This is primarily a snowbird destination park, although it is open to folks who just stay overnight or for short stays. Price is reflective of Thousand Trails discount, of an earlybird 6 month discount. FHU 50 amp. Good Verizon and Direct TV. All amenities. Due to the monthly rate, electric and propane are extra. Pet friendly, but limited pet sites. Large flat sites. We camped at Paradise RV Resort (55+ Resort) in a Motorhome.
