South Beach State Park, Newport, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

We were last minute so we didn't have a big choice of sites. We ended up on the entrance road across from the comp hosts. That considered, we ere not disturbed by the road. This park has great access to the beach and plenty of shade. Flat sites and nice spacing. We camped at South Beach State Park in a Motorhome.

B & E Wayside RV Park, Florence, Oregon

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Nice little park. Beware some sites back up to Highway 101 which is busy. Not very pet friendly. They point you towards a rocky little patch outside the gate as the pet walk area. Friendly staff. We camped at B & E Wayside RV Park in a Motorhome.

Pismo Coast Village RV Resort, Pismo Beach, California

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $70.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here for one night just to experience what we thought would be a memorable experience. We love walks on the beach with our dogs and the general beach town atmosphere. I was checked in by a young lady who asked for my credit card and had nothing more to say except "you're ready to go" and shoved a packet with a map. The sites were very close and dirt. Kids were everywhere on everything. I guess that's to be expected in the summer. Facilities are overstated. Two good things about this park: 1) It is on the ocean side of Pacific Coast Highway and has access to the beach. 2) It is a short walk to Splash restaurant for great clam chowder. Other than that, this place is overrated. We camped at Pismo Coast Village RV Resort in a Motorhome.

RV Park at Rolling Hills Casino, Corning, California

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

We stopped here for one night as we were heading north and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff was very nice. They even have a dog boarding facility which we didn't use. The spaces were level with some shade. Casino restaurants were available with a shuttle available if required. This is a great and convenient stop. We camped at RV Park at Rolling Hills Casino in a Motorhome.

Santa Nella RV Park, Santa Nella, California

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $29.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here one night. The spaces are not long enough to park with tow vehicle attached. We heard quite a bit of noise from the highway and truck stop. Concrete pads that are open. Fine for one night when transiting the area. We camped at Santa Nella RV Park in a Motorhome.

Holiday RV Park, Phoenix, Oregon

Date of Stay: December, 2015 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here one night before going over the mountain to California. It rained the entire evening; therefore, we didn't use any of the facilities. The lady in the office was great. There is construction in the exit and her directions were perfect. The spaces were tight but we would have had room for a tow vehicle if we were towing. We heard no freeway noise. We would stay here again. We camped at Holiday RV Park in a Motorhome.

Friendly RV Park, Weed, California

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Our stay was somewhat tempered because we were assigned to a site where my air levelers would not level (excessive slope). That meant no slides out for the night. Quite a few extended stays at the back of the park. Was not bothered by Pilot Station or train. Nice grounds with plenty of trees and shade. No satellite at our site. We would stay here again if we could get a more level site. We camped at Friendly RV Park in a Motorhome.

Life Northwest RV & Lodging (formerly River Life Resort), Harrisburg, Oregon

Date of Stay: October, 2015 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

We just stumbled on this park when we were waiting to get some work done on our Country Coach in Junction City. The pads are level and the park is well maintained. They apparently do no advertising since we found out about them from the receptionist at Country Coach. The park is part of a large church campus. There were no trees which was not a problem when we were there. They have a small pool and spa and the setting is right on the Willamette River. We would stay here again and use it as a base camp to explore the area. We camped at Life Northwest RV & Lodging (formerly River Life Resort) in a Motorhome.

Great breakfast cafe in Harrisburg. Changing the name from Jakes to Molly's in November. Nice wineries in the area and boat excursions on the river are available.

Hacienda RV Resort, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice park convenient to everything you'd like to see in Las Cruces. Park layout was interesting. Your neighbor's coach utilities were in proximity to your utilities so neither your neighbor's patio or your patio looked at utilities. Privacy screens were erected between sites. I don't understand why more new parks don't do the same thing. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great dog run. Roads were paved and site was level. We would stay here again. I-35 RV Park, Waco, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is a bit north of town but it is a great place to stay. Most of the snowbirds had cleared out `so the park was wide open. A few homesteaders which they keep congregated in one area. They have 80 acres and the owner invited us to let our German Shepherds run free on the driving range and back woods. Construction on I-35 really hurts this park. It is not difficult just something to be aware of. They serve a hot breakfast in the morning and work for tips. Eggs to order, bacon, sausage, juice, etc. Very good value. Very nice couple and very helpful with any questions. We would stay here again. We camped at I-35 RV Park in a Motorhome.

Travelers World RV Resort, San Antonio, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed here 3 nights while visiting San Antonio. Adjacent to the River Walk which is 5 miles to downtown if you're feeling ambitious. Nice clean park with quite a few snowbirds. Very convenient to downtown by bus which stops in front of the park. Sites are level and pea gravel. It rained while we were here and the sites drained well for the most part. Check-in staff was very informative. We would stay here again. We camped at Travelers World RV Resort in a Motorhome.

French Quarter RV Resort, New Orleans, Louisiana

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $89.00
Overall Rating:

Walking distance to French Quarter. Park is nothing special so they are charging for the convenience to downtown. Rates went up to $179 per night when the French Quarter Jazz Festival started so we left. Park is well kept and secure. Spacing is not bad. No trees but quite a bit of grass for pets to walk. Back of park is very close to I-10 noise. We camped at French Quarter RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Gulf Coast RV Resort, Beaumont, Texas

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed one night here between FL and New Orleans. Very nice park with a few homesteaders, however, the sites are well kept up. There was a little I-10 noise but not enough to keep you awake. Complementary breakfast in the AM was a nice added touch. We were in a pull through and the sewer dump was too far from my outlet so I had to unhook and put the toad up front. No big deal. We would stay here again. We camped at Gulf Coast RV Resort in a Motorhome.
