Small casino campground facing golf course. No trees or shade. Nice, level, gravel pull through sites. Verizon cell works good. No problem with satellite.

Date of Stay:

Very noisy with highways on both sides, and trains running all night. Verizon worked well and Satellite wouldn't have been a problem. They do have pretty good cable TV. We just stayed one night and probably wouldn't stop again.

Date of Stay:

Past reviews are pretty accurate. Strange utility hookups - you better have long power cord and water hoses. Lots of trees but we got Dishnet, no wifi but verizon jetpack worked ok. If they have Chicken ala Orange on the dinner menu - don't go.

Date of Stay:

Everything in past reviews is pretty much true, but if you aren't a heavy sleeper you'd better bring ear plugs. VERY NOISY - some kind of plant next door, road noise, and trains all night long.

Date of Stay:

Nice shady campground on the Missouri River. Good hiking/bike trail. Too many trees for satellite reception. Good local TV reception to Sioux City. Verizon cell/data works fine. Dump station available.

Date of Stay:

This is a new addition of the Drifter's Resort and down the road about 1/4 mile. Nice level concrete sites. Lots of trees, but we were able to get satellite reception. Good Wi-Fi signal but poor/spotty Verizon cell signal. A little traffic noise and some residential neighbor dogs barking. We would stay again.

Date of Stay:

Very hard to find. Don't use any GPS info in SKP's book for a Garmin. You'll never get there. Also very noisy with some traffic noise, but the trains go through at all hours and regularly. Other than that not too bad a park.

Date of Stay:

Very nice Corps park. Rate is with "Geezer" card. Good hiking and biking. Verizon cell works good and satellite should be available in most sites. Some trees. Would rate higher if it had sewer. Good dump station. Sites paved and sort of level.

Date of Stay:

Nice small park. Vz cell and MiFi worked fine. A lot of trees, but a few sites access satellite. Noise from highway.

Date of Stay:

Very nice small Corps park in wooded setting. Our Verizon cell and MiFi worked fine, but we couldn't get satellite at our site. Looks like a few sites could. For some reason we couldn't get local stations either. Not too far from Branson (about 15 miles). We would definitely stay here again.

Date of Stay:

Older Park with lots of trees. We couldn't find a site where our satellite would work. Our Verizon cell and MiFi worked OK.

Nice COE park. Would be a 10 if it had sewer. Our Verizon cell and MiFi worked fine and we were able to get satellite TV in our site. There is lots of trees so some sites probably do not have reception. We would definitely stay again.

The Zoo Park Rd address on the rec.gov website is wrong. The correct address is 4600 Skeet Eason, Waco 76708 as listed on the campground map handed out at park check-in. This is a very nice COE park with full hookups. Verizon cell is great and satellite should be available in most sites through the trees. Occasional airplane noise during day, otherwise very quiet.

Holiday COE

Our 2nd time here. Still a great park for an older COE facility. Sites are large and many have satellite access through the trees with a great view of the lake. Verizon cell was good. Lake is way down so all of that is closed to rec. We'll keep coming back.

You had better like road noise. Not a quiet site in the whole campground. Nice facility with good Verizon reception, good satellite reception. Large and very cold casino.
