Meridian Bridge RV Resort, Yankton, South Dakota

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

Dirt roads that the locals drive through very fast, kicking up all kinds of dust. Very poor water pressure. Other than that a very nice park. Lots of trees and close to Missouri River. Wide sites with grass. Actually on the Nebraska side of river, but Yankton is closest town. Good Verizon reception. We camped at Meridian Bridge RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Isleta Lakes & RV Park, Isleta Pueblo, New Mexico

Date of Stay: April, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

The other reviews are pretty accurate except the train noise is very close and annoying. However they don't run in the middle of the night. The sights and roads are dirt and gravel. Very dusty normally and it rained when we were there so we had mud. Other than that nice park and facility. We camped at Isleta Lakes & RV Park in a Motorhome.

Picacho Peak State Park, Picacho, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2016 - $30.00
Overall Rating:

Way overpriced for what you get! Electric only - no water. Very remote. If you are into hiking there are some good trails but that's all there is to do. We camped at Picacho Peak State Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

There is nothing to do except hike. Nearest shopping is in Eloy, about 15 miles, and that has almost nothing. So Casa Grande is closest - 30 miles

Grand Falls Casino, Larchwood, Iowa

Small casino campground facing golf course. No trees or shade. Nice, level, gravel pull through sites. Verizon cell works good. No problem with satellite. We camped at Grand Falls Casino in a Motorhome.

Safe Harbor RV Park, Riverside, Alabama

Date of Stay: April, 2015 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

Very noisy with highways on both sides, and trains running all night. Verizon worked well and Satellite wouldn't have been a problem. They do have pretty good cable TV. We just stayed one night and probably wouldn't stop again. We camped at Safe Harbor RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sumter Oaks RV Park , Bushnell, Florida

Date of Stay: February, 2015 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Past reviews are pretty accurate. Strange utility hookups - you better have long power cord and water hoses. Lots of trees but we got Dishnet, no wifi but verizon jetpack worked ok. If they have Chicken ala Orange on the dinner menu - don't go. We camped at Sumter Oaks RV Park in a Motorhome.

Rocking A RV Park, Vernon, Texas

Date of Stay: October, 2014 - $27.00
Overall Rating:

Everything in past reviews is pretty much true, but if you aren't a heavy sleeper you'd better bring ear plugs. VERY NOISY - some kind of plant next door, road noise, and trains all night long. We camped at Rocking A RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice shady campground on the Missouri River. Good hiking/bike trail. Too many trees for satellite reception. Good local TV reception to Sioux City. Verizon cell/data works fine. Dump station available. We camped at Clay County Park in a Motorhome.

Egret Bay RV Resort, Rockport, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2014 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This is a new addition of the Drifter's Resort and down the road about 1/4 mile. Nice level concrete sites. Lots of trees, but we were able to get satellite reception. Good Wi-Fi signal but poor/spotty Verizon cell signal. A little traffic noise and some residential neighbor dogs barking. We would stay again. We camped at Egret Bay RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Lone Star Corral - Escapee Park, Hondo, Texas

Date of Stay: December, 2013 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

Very hard to find. Don't use any GPS info in SKP's book for a Garmin. You'll never get there. Also very noisy with some traffic noise, but the trains go through at all hours and regularly. Other than that not too bad a park. We camped at Lone Star Corral - Escapee Park in a Motorhome.

Very nice Corps park. Rate is with "Geezer" card. Good hiking and biking. Verizon cell works good and satellite should be available in most sites. Some trees. Would rate higher if it had sewer. Good dump station. Sites paved and sort of level. We camped at Cranes Mill Park COE in a Motorhome.

Cricket Creek COE, Omaha, Arkansas

Date of Stay: April, 2012 - $21.00
Overall Rating:

Very nice small Corps park in wooded setting. Our Verizon cell and MiFi worked fine, but we couldn't get satellite at our site. Looks like a few sites could. For some reason we couldn't get local stations either. Not too far from Branson (about 15 miles). We would definitely stay here again. We camped at Cricket Creek COE in a Motorhome.

Cedar Creek COE, Mt Juliet, Tennessee

Date of Stay: March, 2012 - $10.00
Overall Rating:

Nice COE park. Would be a 10 if it had sewer. Our Verizon cell and MiFi worked fine and we were able to get satellite TV in our site. There is lots of trees so some sites probably do not have reception. We would definitely stay again. We camped at Cedar Creek COE in a Motorhome.
