Gettysburg Campground, Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: November, 2006 - $40.00

I thought I had found my favorite at the KOA, but it turns out this one is great too. Next time I come here this will be my first pick. Good layout, big creek, nice bathrooms. We camped at Gettysburg Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Dixie Caverns Campground, Salem, Virginia

Date of Stay: October, 2006 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

It is close to our house, so I wanted to see if there was somewhere I could get to quick (less than half hour) to set up for a night or two. There's not much going on there, but I felt safe. Didn't worry about our new fifth wheel when we went to the Tech game. Easy in, easy out. Not for kids. We camped at Dixie Caverns Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

I liked it so much I went back a few times already. If you like to walk around for exercise it has a nice layout. We camped at Staunton / Walnut Hills KOA in a Fifth Wheel.
