Unadilla / I-88 / Oneonta KOA, Franklin, New York

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $42.00
Overall Rating:

Getting to this RV park was a nightmare. As we exited the highway at exit 11 the KOA sign said turn left. Our RV GPS said turn right. So did my wife's Google maps. We turned right. That took us to a hair pin turn. We attempted it half way and gave up while blocking traffic in both directions. One lady we were blocking told us continue down the road and take the next left. That worked although the roads are very narrow with a narrow bridge to cross with no warning signs about Gross Weight allowed. Finally arrived at RV park. Very neat and clean. However, we have a 43 foot 5th wheel and not much room for us. They put us in spot 101. It was narrow but long enough. Plugged into the 50 amp box. I pushed circuit breakers up thinking I was turning them on. It is wired just the opposite. Up is off and down is on. That started what we thought was an electrical problem. Their maintenance guy showed up immediately. No sewage hook ups. Overall it was an experience. We camped at Unadilla / I-88 / Oneonta KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Riverview RV Park & Campground, Loveland, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $64.00
Overall Rating:

This RV park is on the Big Thompson River which makes it very nice. The staff is polite and very helpful. However, the positive stops here. This is a dust bowl. We parked our RV and vehicle under large cotton wood trees. They put out much sap throughout the day. With all the dust in the RV park your wash job might last 3 days, then its back to being dirty again. The wifi is not the best. If you're on T-Mobile forget about getting any connection. You must go about 7 or 8 miles east to get a connection.

Finally, the water pressure is inconsistent. One day it'll be normal, the next day it'll be zero. I spoke to my next door neighbor who's been camping at Riverview for 14 years, and she said they have always had problems with water pressure. I found out they are on a cistern and their pressure is usually low. We stayed here throughout June 2017. I would only stay here again as a last resort, no pun intended. We camped at Riverview RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Baton Rouge KOA, Denham Springs, Louisiana

Date of Stay: December, 2016 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Overall this is a nice looking park and the staff are nice. However, the wifi is a different story. It is substandard. I was not able to get on the entire 24 hours. Management used the excuse the park was full and many people on the Internet. So if you depend on the Internet for business don't stay here. We camped at Baton Rouge KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Beach Rose RV Park, Salisbury, Massachusetts

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $44.00
Overall Rating:

Stayed in this park over a month. The staff is very nice and helpful. Since the park is small and very tight one of the staff helps guide you into your slot. The wifi is weak and undependable. If you're a T Mobile wifi customer that is very spotty in this area as well. If you're on DISH tv forget about it because the trees block the satellite. The park cable is only average and not very sharp. The utilities on top of your already expensive rent is 25 cents/kilowatt. We only stayed here because they were opened past the date we needed for our stay. We camped at Beach Rose RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Lakehead Boat Basin, Duluth, Minnesota

Date of Stay: September, 2015 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

You have to cross the Aerial Bridge to get to this RV park. There is construction going on the road as you exit the bridge. The lanes are very narrow for a large coach. It was nice being near the water and boats. However, the WiFi has much to be desired. Weak signal and we were right next to the antenna. No telling how weak it was for the people further away. Once the WiFi is improved I'd return. We camped at Lakehead Boat Basin in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

You have a beach within walking distance which is on Lake Superior. There is plenty of sightseeing to do in Duluth and around Lake Superior. Both are beautiful.
