North Myrtle Beach RV Resort and Dry Dock Marina, Little River, South Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Excellent facility. Bathroom and showers large. Family friendly. Store has adequate supplies. Pool was cool despite 89 degree air temp. Plenty of spots to sit, relax, watch boats on the Intracoastal Waterway. All shopping very close by. One draw back, you should not try to come in from Hwy 9 from the south as there is a very sharp right hand turn onto a small road leading towards to resort. We camped at North Myrtle Beach RV Resort and Dry Dock Marina in a Motorhome.

Harbor Point RV Community (formerly Turkey Point RV Park), Sneads Ferry, North Carolina

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

Spent a week. Roads getting to park very narrow with many turns. This is an old campground with a majority if permanent old travel trailers. A lot of "stuff" piled on sites. Most roads paved. Officer/Registration not clearly marked. Definately not big rig friendly. To exit with rv you have to take the inward side of the divided road so you coukd risk oncominv traffic. Limited number of transient sites. Very noisy and busy on weekend with locals. Lots of kids. Property adjoining park sounds like ot is a dog kennel. Very limited Verizon cell service. Clubhouse has decent wifi. However, it is about the only rv park in the area. Many others are really trashy. Large Class A coaches should avoid this place. Price too high for condition of park. We camped at Harbor Point RV Community (formerly Turkey Point RV Park) in a Motorhome.

Two Rivers Landing RV Resort, Sevierville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: July, 2018 - $58.00
Overall Rating:

Very friendly staff. Entire facility exceptionally clean and well maintained. Directions on GPS had us turning onto Two Rivers Landing Blvd and going through Knife Works parking lot. Be sure to ignore that and use Knife Works Drive and then turn onto 2nd street. We camped at Two Rivers Landing RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Safe Harbor RV Resort at Elm Hill, Nashville, Tennessee

Date of Stay: June, 2018 - $49.00
Overall Rating:

Family oriented. Lots to do. Roads narrow. Vehicles parked along roads making it difficult. Hairpin turn in big rig very difficult, down hill, having to back up to complete turn. Signs to enter are misleading. If you turn at wrong driveway you end up at marina. Bell Road is not RV friendly. Do not enter from the south! We camped at Safe Harbor RV Resort at Elm Hill in a Motorhome.

Lazy Acres Campground, Fayetteville, North Carolina

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $37.00
Overall Rating:

Entry road is public access which was narrow and rough. It widens upon approaching campgrounds. Interior campground roads sand and rough. Sites had concrete area for picnic table and fire pit. Sites are tar sand, dirty and sites are narrow. Only one restroom with one toilet and one shower. Pool looked ok but no other amenities. Lots of long term units but none in disarray. Owner polite and friendly. Price is too high but there are few campgrounds in the Fayetteville area so it's supply and demand. We camped at Lazy Acres Campground in a Motorhome.

Thousand Trails / Chesapeake Bay, Gloucester, Virginia

Date of Stay: August, 2017 - $3.00
Overall Rating:

One of the nicer Thousand Trails parks but like the rest it needs improvement starting with 50 amp service to all sites. Rate reflects $3 daily 50 amp fee. Too many permanent sites, beginning to look more like old trailer park, especially in Section E. It is difficult to get satellite friendly sites, especially in large Class A but we got one. Park is full on weekends with local zone pass holders. Lots of kids and fortunately there is an adult only pool, adult lounge and spa. We camped at Thousand Trails / Chesapeake Bay in a Motorhome.

Sunshine Travel RV Resort, Vero Beach, Florida

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

This is an Encore park. All sites have concrete pad but nearly every one is cracked and needing total replacement. Staff is good. Small pool and miniture golf but it needs some work. Very heavy rains caused storm draibs to clog and flooding occurred. This park was convienent to Vero Beach and served our purpose. Like other Encore patks, many permanent units and park models. Right off I 95 but road noise not disturbing. Wifi $, not free cable. We camped at Sunshine Travel RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Harbor Lakes RV Resort, Port Charlotte, Florida

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $19.00
Overall Rating:

This is an Encore park with 500+ sitrs but most are park models. There are standard, elite and preier sites for RVs. The premier are very large but all in open grassy field. We had standard site with a concrete pad for picnic table and sand parking area. Many of these sites are large. We were able to have shade most of the time and get satellite from our roof mount dish. The pool is adequate. Hot tub nice but small for the size of park. There are about 50 fulltime residents who are friendly. Staff very nice. Summer months and mosquitos make sitting side mostly uncomfortable. The roads are very good, drain good during summer storms. The park is quiet and convienent to all shopping in Port Charlotte. We camped at Harbor Lakes RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Royal Coachman RV Resort, Nokomis, Florida

Date of Stay: August, 2016 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

We have been coming to this park since 1976 and have watched it evolve from a great RV park to a permanent park mpdel community. There are not a lot of rv sites. Of those, most good sites are annuals. The remaining are grass and in times of heavy rains the outer loop road neat Shacket Creek will flood. Sites are slow to drain. Tall pines limit satellite reception. The staff is excellent as is the large pool. Recent develope of the area has brought major stores within 2 miles. We used RPI rate for $20. Seasonal rates are quite expensive, comparable the suster Encore park of Ramblers Rest at approx. $4800 + elec for 4 months. We camped at Royal Coachman RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Date of Stay: July, 2016 - $45.00

Mgr yells at speeders quite a bit. Big sites, most are level. Water pressure was 75 PSI so make sure you use regulator. Close to shopping. No road noise despite location to I-15. No real family type amenities. We camped at Dick's RV Park in a Motorhome.
