Shamrock Park, Berrien Springs, Michigan

Date of Stay: October, 2017 - $28.00
Overall Rating:

I rated Shamrock Park a 9 out of 10 because it did not have laundry facilities. Otherwise, this is an excellent campground. The sites were spacious, there was a fire ring and picnic table, the area had plenty of grass and trees, all hookups worked fine, and the WiFi was good (it worked best during the day, not so much at night when everyone started using it). Interior roads were paved and campsites were gravel and level. We would certainly stay here again. We camped at Shamrock Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Maple Lakes Recreational Park, Seville, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $46.00
Overall Rating:

The campground is convenient to the interstate and set on rolling hills. The campsites are very narrow, uneven and covered with stone. There were two trees on either side of our site that were too close. Limbs had been cut off but were still way too close. Maneuvering into the site was a challenge. Hookups all worked fine. There was no wifi at our site. There was a pool but we did not use it. They were working on the roadways, paving and filling holes. We camped at Maple Lakes Recreational Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Wright-Patt FamCamp at Bass Lake (Military FamCamp), Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio

Date of Stay: July, 2017 - $22.00
Overall Rating:

This was a small but pleasant campground. Sites are aligned in three rows and are a cozy fit. There is a nice lake to fish and boat in and lots of grassy area to walk the dog. Our only complaint was that the closest gate (26A) is not open after hours, weekends, or holidays. The main gate (12A) that allstays map brings you to is the furthest point from the campground. Add winding roads and infrequent signage and things get exciting. Ask the gate guard for a map and directions. We camped at Wright-Patt FamCamp at Bass Lake (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.

Daytona Beach RV Resort, Port Orange, Florida

Date of Stay: May, 2017 - $55.00
Overall Rating:

Our site was at the back of the campground on a grass plot with a concrete patio. Hookups worked fine and the wifi was excellent. There is only one dumpster for the entire campground tucked off in a corner. The clerk who checked us in was efficient but not friendly. There was a mistake with the nightly charge and she adjusted it when I asked about it without any problem. There is really no area to walk the dog. There was a very nice looking pool but we did not use it. The bathroom was clean and big. Showers were tiled and cared for. We camped at Daytona Beach RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Elks Lodge #2131, Willcox, Arizona

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We could not find anywhere to pay if the lodge wasn't open. There was a group of campers who had just come from a rally who had been convinced by the Grand Ruler to join the Elks. About 50 people followed him back to Wilcox lodge where they were inducted. Water and 30-amp electric worked fine. There is no wifi in the camping area. This is a convenient stop off the interstate. We camped at Elks Lodge #2131 in a Fifth Wheel.

Hacienda RV Resort, Las Cruces, New Mexico

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

Man! These folks have check in down to a science. Its location alongside the interstate makes it a popular stop over. We Watched RVs roll in by the dozens starting around noon and continuing until about 6 p.m. We timed a motor home on how fast it was processed. From the time he rolled in and left to park, it was 3 minutes. The campground has many sites and a large turnover. The sites are clean and gravel. All hookups worked fine. The laundry room and restrooms were immaculate. The store in the office area had lots of souvenirs. The lounge area is very attractive and the staff is very friendly. The wifi was inconsistent. There is a great dog run on the back of the property. We camped at Hacienda RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Monahans Sandhills State Park, Monahans, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

We only spent one night here passing through (and still had to pay $4 per person entrance fee in addition to the camping fee) but it looks like a fun campground. Nestled among sand dunes, you can rent discs to sled the hills. The water and electric hookups worked fine. There is a dump site. The bathhouse was clean and had plenty of hot water for showers. Beware of high winds. We caught a storm passing through and we were buffeted with wind gusts of up to 70 mph. That sand can sting! There is no wifi available and winds prevented us from raising the antenna. We camped at Monahans Sandhills State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Coffee Creek RV Resort, Santo, Texas

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

If anybody is looking for a campground in Texas for an individual or group, I highly recommend Coffee Creek RV Resort in Santo, TX. They have a large meeting hall with a grand fireplace and functional kitchen. There are lots of things to do including a pool. The staff are super friendly and the campground is spotless. There is a decent size dog run and doggie stations all around the property. WiFi works very well. There are also cabins to rent. The sites are level and easy to get in and out of. Interior roadways are easy to navigate. I can't say enough good things about this place! We camped at Coffee Creek RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Barksdale AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp), Barksdale AFB, Louisiana

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

Sites were a little close but the folks were very friendly and all hookups worked fine. Dish tv got a good satellite signal and cell phone reception was excellent. Although wifi is listed as being available in the clubhouse only, we were able to pick up a strong signal in our rig. There are plenty of stores right outside the gate. We camped at Barksdale AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.

Roosevelt State Park, Morton, Mississippi

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $15.00
Overall Rating:

This was one of the nicest campgrounds we have stayed in. All hookups worked well. Although there was no wifi available, my Verizon cell phone and jet pack worked fine. OTA tv channels were clear and accessible (there were 27). Our back-in campsite overlooked the lake. Tall pine trees added lots of shade and there was plenty of space between campers. There was a little bit of an edge getting into the campsite but the site itself was level. The campground is just one mile off the interstate. We would absolutely stay here again. We camped at Roosevelt State Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Uchee Creek Campground/Marina (Military FamCamp), Fort Benning Army Post, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great campground. The sites are large, paved, level, and have lots of space. All hookups worked perfectly to include cable tv. There is a nearby river where campers can rent boats and fish. A swimming pool is fun for the kids. The laundry room had 3 dryers and 3 washers in good working order. My only complaint is that the wifi wasn't consistent - it kept dropping. We camped at Uchee Creek Campground/Marina (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Pines RV Park and Campground, Columbus, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

All hookups worked fine. Although the campground advertised wifi, it never connected. The sewer connection was at the back of the site, necessitating 3 hoses to connect. The sites were uneven gravel. The pull throughs seemed to be a little better than the back ins. Only 2 of the 3 washers and dryers were working. Sites were close together. Our site had no picnic table or fire ring. The interior roadway was deeply rutted. We camped at Lake Pines RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very nice and clean campground. The sites were spacious, plenty of trees gave shade and privacy, all hookups worked perfectly, and plenty of trails left opportunities for nature hikes. As a full time RVer, my only complaint was the lack of access to the internet. We camped at Gunter Hill COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Tampa East RV Resort, Dover, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We only got a 30-amp and water hookup, no sewer. The wifi was spotty and kept dropping off. Our campsite was grass and covered with pine needles. We thought the price was high for that. There are many long term residents there, many from Canada. There is a pool and rec room available as well as paddle ball court. The laundry room was clean and most machines were functional. Falcon's Nest FamCamp (Military FamCamp), Shaw AFB, South Carolina

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older campground with lots of mature pine trees in the area. The sites are tight and the roadway is narrow. All hookups worked fine. It looks like they're adding more campsites on an adjacent lot. The campground wifi did not work at the campsite but our air card did pretty good. The staff are super friendly. Jets flying around the airfield make for a very noisy environment and some great photo ops. We camped at Falcon's Nest FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.
