Uchee Creek Campground/Marina (Military FamCamp), Fort Benning Army Post, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $26.00
Overall Rating:

This is a great campground. The sites are large, paved, level, and have lots of space. All hookups worked perfectly to include cable tv. There is a nearby river where campers can rent boats and fish. A swimming pool is fun for the kids. The laundry room had 3 dryers and 3 washers in good working order. My only complaint is that the wifi wasn't consistent - it kept dropping. We camped at Uchee Creek Campground/Marina (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.

Lake Pines RV Park and Campground, Columbus, Georgia

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

All hookups worked fine. Although the campground advertised wifi, it never connected. The sewer connection was at the back of the site, necessitating 3 hoses to connect. The sites were uneven gravel. The pull throughs seemed to be a little better than the back ins. Only 2 of the 3 washers and dryers were working. Sites were close together. Our site had no picnic table or fire ring. The interior roadway was deeply rutted. We camped at Lake Pines RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Gunter Hill COE, Montgomery, Alabama

Date of Stay: March, 2017 - $13.00
Overall Rating:

This was a very nice and clean campground. The sites were spacious, plenty of trees gave shade and privacy, all hookups worked perfectly, and plenty of trails left opportunities for nature hikes. As a full time RVer, my only complaint was the lack of access to the internet. We camped at Gunter Hill COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Tampa East RV Resort, Dover, Florida

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

We only got a 30-amp and water hookup, no sewer. The wifi was spotty and kept dropping off. Our campsite was grass and covered with pine needles. We thought the price was high for that. There are many long term residents there, many from Canada. There is a pool and rec room available as well as paddle ball court. The laundry room was clean and most machines were functional. We camped at Tampa East RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Falcon's Nest FamCamp (Military FamCamp), Shaw AFB, South Carolina

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is an older campground with lots of mature pine trees in the area. The sites are tight and the roadway is narrow. All hookups worked fine. It looks like they're adding more campsites on an adjacent lot. The campground wifi did not work at the campsite but our air card did pretty good. The staff are super friendly. Jets flying around the airfield make for a very noisy environment and some great photo ops. We camped at Falcon's Nest FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.

Kamper's Lodge Campground, Wilson, North Carolina

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We only stayed one night on our way south, trying to escape winter storm Helena. The campground was covered in snow and ice. It looked like a pleasant place although it is right on the highway. The wifi reception was excellent. We paid for full hook up but couldn't use the sewer connection because the cap on the RV was frozen shut. We also couldn't use the water connection because of freezing temperatures. We did put water into our onboard tank. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We camped at Kamper's Lodge Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Andrews AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp), Andrews AFB, Maryland

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a very pleasant campground nestled among the trees. The wifi did not work for us at our site. Maybe in the rec room? We had full hookups. There are 2 washers and 2 (1 broken) dryers in the laundry room with an iron and board. The rec room had a pool table, ping pong table, and fooseball. Our site had a concrete pad but the roadway around the campground was pitted and very uneven. Sites were kind of tight. We camped at Andrews AFB FamCamp (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.

Dover AFB FamCamp, Dover, Delaware

Date of Stay: January, 2017 - $20.00
Overall Rating:

This is a small but well kept campground with 10 campsites. We had full hookup with 50 amp service. There is no wifi available. The bathhouse was brand new with two stalls and one shower. The laundry room had one washer one dryer. We drove to the other side of Base to the rec office to have our frequent camper book stamped. The clerk couldn't have been nicer. Wish they were closer to the campground. You fill out the registration form and put your payment in a drop box. The campground is next to the AMC Museum. It is a must see!! But you cannot get in from on base. You must drive off base to enter the museum. We camped at Dover AFB FamCamp in a Fifth Wheel.

Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park, Manheim, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $33.00
Overall Rating:

Our site was in a new area and the sewer connection was too high. We had to ask to have it cut down. All hookups worked fine. We had a roomy area without being on top of our neighbors. A nearby shooting range was very loud. The campground is gated with keycard entry. The laundry room was large and clean and reasonably priced. There is NO wifi available at the campsite. Although we did not swim in it, the pool looked very inviting. Looks of trees and shrubs makes things feel very outdoorsy. We camped at Pinch Pond Family Campground & RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Ives Run COE, Tioga, Pennsylvania

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $17.00
Overall Rating:

This was a hidden gem! The campsites were very spacious. There were concrete pads at each site. Trees and grass made things feel very "campy." There was a marina and boat ramp on a lake. My only complaint was that we did not get a sewer hookup (other sites had them) and there was no Wifi available. These are not problems for weekend campers but for full-timers like us, it limits our stay considerably. The park administration building had a nature tree walk and there was a camp store onsite selling supplies, ice, and firewood. We camped at Ives Run COE in a Fifth Wheel.

Oak Orchard Marina & Campground, Savannah, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $39.00
Overall Rating:

We paid extra for 50 amp service then got billed another $3 a night for A/C. $39 a night was overpriced especially for not getting full hookups. The sites were roomy enough and electric and water hookups worked fine (no sewer hookup). The park ran a hay ride for the kids and had a chicken BBQ one night. It was not easy on, easy off from the interstate. Several low hanging branches needed trimming and potholes on the long drive in needed filling. The dumpster was quite a walk to get to. We camped at Oak Orchard Marina & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Remington Park RV Campground (Military FamCamp), Fort Drum, New York

Date of Stay: September, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

Campsites are very roomy. All hookups worked well. There is NO wifi which is a problem for us full-timers. Apparently the campground is adjacent to a training area. There was a company of soldiers and two helicopters working on the hill right next to us. There are many cabins and more being built. The laundry room is small with only 2 washers and 2 dryers. The Allstays directions to the campground are wrong and will take you to the wrong place. Ask for directions at the gate. We camped at Remington Park RV Campground (Military FamCamp) in a Fifth Wheel.

Pumpkin Patch RV Resort, Hermon, Maine

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $25.00
Overall Rating:

This had to be the cleanest campground we have ever seen. There wasn't a piece of paper or cigarette butt anywhere. The bathrooms were freshly painted and refreshed with flowers. The staff was uber friendly and always greeted you with the biggest smiles. The sites were level and roomy. Hookups worked fine. The WiFi could have been better - it worked like molasses going uphill in the winter time. You're better off using your jet pack or cell phone hot spot. There were many channels on the cable tv hook up. The activity room is spacious and attractive. This was a GREAT campground!! We camped at Pumpkin Patch RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Green Valley Campground, Vassalboro, Maine

Date of Stay: June, 2016 - $35.00
Overall Rating:

All hookups worked fine. We were thankful for the cable since our satellite tv didn't work. The park could use a little extra TLC as it has a run down tired look. The bathrooms needed cleaning. There were cob webs that needed to be brushed away from last year and a coat of paint wouldn't hurt. Our GPS registered a 42% downgrade coming into the park. For some reason, they kept blocking the road as you entered (probably to stop people coming in too fast). A fox then a skunk lived (or died?) under the office making it smell so bad the managers couldn't even work there. The laundry room had two of four dryers broken and only two washers. They worked well but were also housed in the stinky office building. We camped at Green Valley Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Wild Acres RV Resort and Campground (formerly NASCAR RV Resorts), Old Orchard Beach, Maine

Date of Stay: May, 2016 - $74.00
Overall Rating:

This is very much a large resort with year round trailers as well as a few transient campers. There are 5 pools and 3 hot tubs and loads of activities to do. Trees made the site pleasant. There was a fire ring and picnic table and excellent WiFi. All hookups worked well. The place was extremely crowded on Memorial Day weekend but calmed down afterward. You could walk to the ocean from the campground. We camped at Wild Acres RV Resort and Campground (formerly NASCAR RV Resorts) in a Fifth Wheel.
