Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park, West Yellowstone, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

Very clean beautiful kept grass, there are paved new roads, only the site where the RV is parked is gravel. There is a paved patio and a lot of grass on both sides.

There are pull-throughs in the "middle" of the park, and back ins around the periphery. We had a "standard" back in which meant that we needed to park our truck in the over flow parking. Premium back in specifically includes space for your truck too.

Our 5th wheel is 31ft and when we backed enough into the spot to fit the truck as well, our electric cord didn't reach, extension cord would have solved it but we didn't have.

Wifi, don't bother, doesn't work. We camped at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The town is very clean and relatively quite. Few nice restaurants: Madriz great great Spanish food, also Branch that will have some unique GF and vegetarian dishes.

Drive even just a little bit towards Jackson WY but NOT through Yellowstone, rather through Idaho, the scenery is outstanding!!!

Yellowstone RV Park, Gardiner, Montana

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $54.00
Overall Rating:

If you can't get a riverfront don't bother, that's the only thing about this park that can make it worth. It's overpriced to what they offer, which is full hookups, bathroom/showers and laundry. That's it!!!

Most of the people that occupy the river front sides are either workers at Yellowstone or seasonal people.

The sites are very close together with a picnic table for each and supposedly a grass in between but they don't take care of THAT grass, it's really bad, when it rains expect flooding.

The entire park is dirt-gravel.

It's about a mile from the north entrance, which is under construction for a long time therefor the road is very rough.

The town Gardiner has nothing to offer. If you come for a night that's probably ok.

We will not come back here again. We camped at Yellowstone RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Dubois / Wind River KOA, Dubois, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $53.00
Overall Rating:

One of the nicest KOA we've been to, beautiful river view for some of the back inns site, lots of grass, nice view.

Water pressure was excellent!!! Wifi.... Don't bother, very bad. We had cell reception with Verizon (3G extended), but no cell Internet.

Some site had a nice wood patio with table and chairs. Most of the sites have a very nice specious area, we enjoyed the grass and the river a lot.

It's very family friendly, got game room, indoor pool, volleyball/badminton. We camped at Dubois / Wind River KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Douglas KOA, Douglas, Wyoming

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

We camped there for one night only, the campground is ok, some grass, one of the best dog area we've been to, but the service is bad.

They got some back inns with lots of trees and shade, also some pull throughs that were pretty wide so we were able to park our track next to our 5th wheel. Some of the sites had nice piece of grass area, a lot didn't.

We've been to few KOA and that one probably had the nicest cabins.

The one night that we stayed they lost power and that means no water as well since they use well water, they didn't handle the situation very well. We camped at Douglas KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

Manor RV Park, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: August, 2015 - $50.00
Overall Rating:

This place was one of the best RV park we've been to. It's very beautiful maintained, it has green beautiful grass everywhere, the sites has gravel with a paved patio and grass in between sites, even though the sites are nearby you still feel privacy since there are trees in between.

We loved our site, it was second row from the river front. The river front sites most of them are absolutely beautiful, they have the front river grass and trees, make sure to ask for the ones that are closer to the community fire pit. They have nice benches and you can walk and enjoy the river view.

There were elks going through the camp ground which added a nice feel as well. Their wifi isn't strong and took long to check email etc.

They put together fun evenings for everyone, like: potlucks or holiday (they had Christmas 8/1 when we were there).

It is such a giving, friendly staff operation.

We made the mistake that a lot do and we booked 4 nights at another location. We canceled 2 of these nights and came to Manor which helped our stay to be so homey. We camped at Manor RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Explore RMNP hikes and trails from Wild Basin (it's 30min away drive)!!! Less less less people.

If on the weekend, make sure to start your hike by 6:30am the latest since parking is very limited.

Elk Meadow Lodge & RV Resort, Estes Park, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $59.00
Overall Rating:

Stay away. They messed up our reservation and we had nowhere to go on that night. Nothing good to say, it's extremely over priced.

It's a huge parking lot of dirt sites, we ran away after one night to a different campground.

It's not maintained at all. We camped at Elk Meadow Lodge & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Clear Creek RV Park, Golden, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

This is just a great place to stay. It doesn't look luxurious at all very minimal things but the creak is making up for everything.

The people are very nice. Cell reception is great, WiFi is good, super close to beautiful downtown of Golden.

The sites are gravel and patio is paved.

We were able to just get into the creak and have lots of fun.

We would definitely come back! We camped at Clear Creek RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort, Colorado Springs, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $40.00
Overall Rating:

The price indicates good Sam. For PA it will be $22.00

They don't take PA between Fri-Sun.

Very friendly staff that worked hard to resolve our issues.

Great wifi reception though bandwidth is limited so no streaming. Spacious flat sites arranged in different elevation and direction, no traffic noise.

Campground is paved with red coarse gravel which is not so pet friendly even though it looks very nice for people.

There are few back in sites that back to a small creek but they mostly very sunny with no shade. We camped at Mountaindale Cabins & RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Bandera's Bunkhouse, Howard, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $32.00
Overall Rating:

This is such a pleasantly surprising campground. Don't be turned off by the look or the website. We "had" no choice but to book a night here and I'm so happy we did. I guess it's a good place for a night or two, but since everything feels so pleasant I could see myself staying longer. We were in site 7 and we could hear the river flowing, we had great view. The wifi works good much better than fancy campgrounds we've been to. It feels like a place that I could get some down time, just relax and enjoy. It's very quite since it sits far back from the highway. Water pressure is good and a very friendly owner. We camped at Bandera's Bunkhouse in a Fifth Wheel.

Pleasant Valley Cabins & Campground, Cimarron, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

The only reason I gave this place a 5 is that it's small, they have about 6 sites of full hook up and each one is back in to a beautiful river, that makes the stay a little more valuable.

We planned at the beginning to stay for about a week or so but when we arrived we were a bit shocked and decided to start with only 2 nights. It's near a main Hwy, a huge minus for us since you can hear it and it is quit busy, the sound of the river makes it less tolerable, it has tall trees all around and in the late afternoon you can see few sheep, goats and a Llama walking on the other side of the river. WiFi pretty bad and no cell reception (Verizon), it looks very very outdated. More like state parks that you got your basics and that's it. It is family operated and there's fresh baked pie every day, but it's Overpriced. We camped at Pleasant Valley Cabins & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Ouray KOA, Ouray, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $41.00
Overall Rating:

Our site was back in to the river, we loved it! After walking around we saw that some sites were more specious and with grass (the single number sites like 5/6/7 etc).

The park itself doesn't seem to be so upscale but it's actually pretty big and very charming since it has different niches of camping.

I would definitely go back but will ask for the River back in with grass sites.

We stayed there for only 2 nights and the Wifi was actually not bad especially at night.

Verizon worked great!! We camped at Ouray KOA in a Fifth Wheel.

4J+1+1 RV Park & Campground, Ouray, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $36.00
Overall Rating:

We stayed only one night but would have loved to extend it!

I understand why some would complain and didn't like it and I think I would have felt the same if we didn't have a River site!! Yes, that's right! It is the only RV park that's literally in downtown Ouray, but on the edge of it, meaning the mountain is in front of you there's no where to go, and I mean that it's absolutely awesome, it left me in Awe for hours.

Wii is OK, Verizon worked great, I didn't use bathrooms so can't say anything about that.

In other words, everything that people complained about in their reviews of the park is probably true Unless you ask for the River back in spots, it's just awesome, the river is loud but amazing (we personally love it). We camped at 4J+1+1 RV Park & Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Monument RV Resort, Fruita, Colorado

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $38.00
Overall Rating:

It's just ok, overpriced for what they offer.

We were fooled by their website, the nice view picture hasn't been taken from the campground. Not quality type of people.

We were passing by so just stayed one night.

Definitely won't come here again.

We value kindness care and integrity more than anything and they were lacking all of these qualities :(

Wi-Fi: don't even bother.

They are absolutely not pet friendly even though they accept pets.

Find a different campground, especially if you plan on staying for some time.

It is NOT a resort. We camped at Monument RV Resort in a Fifth Wheel.

Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground, Bryce Canyon, Utah

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $43.00
Overall Rating:

The best campground we've ever been to so far.

If you have a full functioned RV (have bathrooms and shower), ask to be in their overflow!!!! The wifi is amazing! You'll be right next to the router, but will have problems if you're in their main campground, also the overflow is nicer and quieter, we enjoyed it so much it was hard to leave, it's very specious

The staff that works there is the friendliest we've met.

We had beautiful well kept grass and trees on both sides. It's only half a mile from Bryce Canyon National Park entrance.

The weather was excellent between 50-75, sunsets are one of the most beautiful sunset places we've ever seen (beats the beach). We camped at Ruby's Inn RV Park and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

The overflow is quiter since it's mostly seasonal employees that stay there, which means that they mostly every day working in the campground office, don't be turned off by that, it's different than permanent residents, they are all extremely friendly and good quality of people.

Don't miss hiking at list once in the Red Canyon.

Follow the road passed the cemetery to get to the Canyon rim!!! All we can see that it's absolutely spectacular.

Wahweap RV and Campground, Page, Arizona

Date of Stay: July, 2015 - $51.00
Overall Rating:

The views are amazing !!!!!!!!! Everything cost more money there since.... there's no competition (ice for $3.55!!!). Shower and restrooms cost to use but we didn't use.

We were there at the end of June, which is very hot, they have some trees but not much, we believe that if you go not in summer you'll enjoy it greatly. Our site had a big tree that gave shade in the second part of the day.

They had nice cement pads, double which is very nice to have, the spots weren't that close to each other.

It comes with beach access and a pool at the resort.

It is geared to water activities, so if you have kayaks, boat or jet ski you'll absolutely love it there.

We will definitely consider to go back but absolutely not in the summer. We camped at Wahweap RV and Campground in a Fifth Wheel.
