This is a nice park on the Tenn-Tom Waterway. Staff was nice at check in and helpful. This park has tree sites and open sun sites with trees in rear of site. Sat. systems will work on most sites but not all. We could pick up a number of channels over the air on TV. You have sites 1 through 10 with 30/50 amps, water, table, fire ring, and the hook pole. Sites 1 through 10 are in open sun and Sat systems will work here. All others sites are 30 amps. Sites are cement, level and have a trash can. Nice dump station on the way out of park. Park is very dark at night with very little lights. No noise in this park. Verizon cell and MiFi air card worked fair here. The price was due to Golden Age card. Gates are locked at 10:00 pm and you have an exit gate to get out if you need to start before gates are open but cannot get in due to tire killers on this exit. If you like to fish or rest this is a great place to do it. Nice to see the tugs boats moving up and down the water way with large barges. Only bad part here is the two miles of rough road from Hwy 17 to gate house. State needs fix this problem, drive slow and you will be OK. We camped here in a Motorhome.
I do a lot of fishing, and I'll tell you that this is one of my favorite places to camp. The Park manger's are the nicest people. They keep the place in good condition. It's not a big campground, but that's what I like about it, there's a lot of peace AND quiet. The kids can run AND play without you being worried they'll get run over or hurt. And at night it's quiet, not a lot of hoopla being carried on. I camp here three or four times a year. Really, I could fill a whole page about how great this place is, if you want to go and relax, and get away from it all. TRY IT!!! You'll go back. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We love US Army Corps of Engineer Campgrounds. The only reason this one didn't get a 10 was because it is a little older than some of the surrounding Corps Parks. Some of the roads need minor repair work. Although no sewage hookups, this is a very clean campground. Almost half of the sites are directly on the river. The campground is isolated from town, which is nice. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
A real nice clean campground. Located on Tenn-Tom waterway. Great for the kids and beautiful scenery. US Army Corps of Engineers Campground . We camped here in a camper.
