Still only OK for an over nighter. The sites are flat dirt, but there is decent space between them. Some sites are right on the rivers edge but are electric only. You can walk down to the rivers by a side road in the park. The owner is chatty, but a nice guy. We had to pay cash as his system was down for credit or debit cards. I would stay here again if need be. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a so so campground right off the Glenn Hwy. Showers & restrooms are old semi boxes. It was OK for one night, and is probably really busy when the salmon run. It's on the Copper River. Most of the sites are level pull throughs. We'd use it again as an overnight stop if going that way. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Rate is for FHU 50 amp pull through site with semi-river front view. Roads and sites are gravel. Owner is great, but the sites face the trees and brush along the river rather than the river itself. A little trimming would go along ways in improving the value of the sites. We also had a problem with our energy management system shutting down due to variable power. Otherwise it was a nice park, and even with the minor problems, we would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Even though they claim to be open until Sept. 15, all that they offered were dry hookups on August 21. We were the only people in the campground, and there wasn't anyone in the office, just operating on the honor system. We might stop here on our way to Valdez next week, but only because it is practically the only place around. We camped here in a Motorhome.
