Compared to many other AK campgrounds, this one is good. Open sites or shaded, more elbow room than most. Strong wi-fi signal. Most convenient to the bears viewing area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park, typical Alaska water and electric hooks, staff is easy, very close to everything, it is a must stop when the bears are in town, yes in town! We stayed almost 3 weeks and loved everyday! No cell phone service in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Just rained and is pretty muddy. Electricty for entire town is off and therefore no water also. Manager is very nice and park is only as rough as the town, which is very "very" rustic. It's Alaska and you gotta luv it! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I think the last post does a good job of describing the place. If you took the trouble to get to this "end of the earth" destination and took a look around town, you certainly wouldn't expect too much more than you get. It's rough, the owner is fun, and it's all good. Visit the glacier, the bear viewing platform, and have diner at the bus. I wish I was there. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
