This park is easily accessed from I-10. The sites are long, and fairly level. The bathrooms were locked, but the manager gave us the key. This was fine with us because everything stays really clean that way. Our price is with Passport America, which seemed about right since the sites and access roads are not paved. We would stay here again. We are in a big rig motorhome, with a tow, and did not have to unhook. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We have for the last 4 years stayed for a night in this campground. Always a pleasant experience. But, not this year. On our way home to Canada, our truck broke down. We were in the campground for over 5 days. During that time, the manager locked the bathrooms/shower and the laundry room. He said the "season" was over. This is a park which remains open all year, so how could the season be over. He was very curt to me when I had questions. Also very unprofessional in appearance, behind the desk in the office with short shorts and no shirt! We will not stay at Benson I-10 ever again. The sites are just fine, but this past experience has soured us on the park. Not knowing how long the Ford dealer would have our truck, I asked him if the two day park fee I had paid could be added into the week rental, he said No. We paid for a week but only stayed an extra 3 days. He knew our situation. We left the park on Easter Sunday 2009 and shall never return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Easy access for big rigs, located just off I-10 so it is great for an over night stay. Level pull-through sites with gravel lots and a cement patio with table. Denny's and Jack-in-the-Box across the street within walking distance. I would stay here again. I used Passport America for a discount. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a high-desert RV park and thus there is no shade. Not many amenities, either. No pool, hayrides, extensive game/rec room, C-Store, etc. There is a small, very clean laundromat ($1.25 for the washers/$1.00 for the dryers) and cable TV. We didn't use their showers but they appeared to be clean after a quick look. Two of the three shower stalls on the men's side were marked as 'Do Not Use'. Since we use our own shower we didn't ask about this. Wi-Fi is provided by TengoInternet so this is an added expense for those who want it. The signal from the antenna mounted on top of the registration building is strong and bandwidth is more than adequate. The cable-TV has 60+ channels. The sites are level, gravel and have a small concrete patio and a picnic table. The spacing between sites is pretty good. The $14.92 daily rate we paid is based on a weekly rate. The park is situated about 1.5 miles north of downtown Benson on Ocotillo Avenue, just north of I-10 (exit 304). Road noise is minimal as are train noises from downtown. During our stay we distinctly heard train whistles only on a couple of occasions and even then it was very minimal. Across the road within easy walking distance is a Denny's and a Jack-In-The-Box. There is a Super Wal-Mart 5-minutes south of the park in Benson as well as a Safeway. The only issue that we have with this park is the wind...and that is something the park cannot control. This part of SE Arizona is very windy. By 11am in the morning on most days the wind is blowing hard enough to force you to close your overhead hatches and to put up your awnings. We think that this park is a perfect place to use as a base for day trips into Tucson (about an hour, depending on where you're going in Tucson) and into Tombstone/Bisbee (22 and 45 miles respectively). The views of the night sky are magnificent and when the winds quits blowing the quiet here is deafening. If you're looking for a pool, game room or structured activities then look elsewhere. But if you're looking for a quiet, clean park then you won't go wrong staying here. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Frankly, I liked the park. Easy access and easy to get in and out of sites. Was told that there was WiFi but didn't need it. Nice downtown area, Safeway and Walmart close. No road noise and didn't hear trains. Would stop here again.Pet friendly. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a very clean and well-maintained park, with very easy access on and off of I-10. There is not a lot extra in the way of facilities, but the showers and laundry areas are clean and modern. There are plenty of pull-thru sites. Surface is mostly gravel, with a concrete patio at each site, and a small picnic table. There are small trees, but not big enough to provide much shade. Beautiful views of the mountains. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park used to be a restful stop but not this time. The new manager is very rude. The woman in the office tries to make up for it but she appears to be medicated. We were intending to stay maybe a month but 2 nights did it for us. First reason . Rats all over bathroom inside and out. Two came into our RV. We have travelled for 12 years and never picked up rats before, not even in country parks. Second reason a screaming baby near us and teenagers that raced their cars real fast and blew up dust as well as afraid for our family. Next reason is the weeds. Some sites near us have grass up to one's knees or more. Manager explained he needed a tractor. No he needed a week wacker. He had put down some killer for weeds but that was put on flowers and beautiful yucca trees. We did see a snake but that would be expected with the tall grass. And the price he charged was not all we had to pay. We had to pay electric even though it was overnight for 2 nights. He made us pay cash for Passport so he should take some of that money and buy rat traps and use the week wacker we saw in his tool shed. We did not mind the train noise we expected it if in Benson. We never heard I-10 which is very close. There is nothing to do here but they charge as if they had pools and hot tubs and things to do. No even a horseshoe area or badminton. I mean there is nothing. We used to stay here often while travelling but will find another park to hitch up with in the future. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed here for 2 nights in February 2007. (Passport America $17 + tax). The roads are wide; turns are easy and big enough to maneuver in with our 38' 5th-wheel & HDT. Gravel sites are laid out diagonally which makes them easy to get in and out of. The park is clean and well maintained. No particular amenities (like pool or game room), but a nice, clean place to stay while traveling through or visiting area attractions (such as Tombstone). The 2 nights we were there, the park completely filled up by early evening. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
It is a clean park. It's a Passport park so the rate is cheap also. We stayed a month in 2006 and found no train noise even though they are in town. Also we never hear the Highway noise unless an ambulance go down I-10. The Internet comes in very well. It is Tengo Net and is at every site for immediate use. We enjoyed our peaceful stay. Wished we could have met more people but other then that it was great. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a Passport America park and is worth the price for a night, but I would not spend more than that. The park facilities are very limited and the scenery is poor. Access to the sites and to the highway are fair. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Park was very clean and well kept. Park volunteers were very nice and helpful, but park managers left a lot to be desired. She was very foul mouthed and should not be dealing with public. He acted like he was in another world. The couple who checked us in was very nice and I liked her southern accent. I would recommend the park for the location and scenery, but run and hide from the managers. Stayed in a motorhome 3 days. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice place to stay, and we were treated with respect. A very clean place. Great people. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Real nice managers and staff-nice place to stay-low monthly & weekly rates-good sam rates-cleanest restrooms we've ever seen We camped here in a Motorhome.
The fact that this KOA has been here so long and there are no trees to speak of, or grass for that matter, is sad. A little more water and I think they would have some nice trees! The campground is quiet, VERY quiet...there were four campers here each night we were here. That made it easy to get in and out of the restroom! The restroom was clean and maintained. Hope you like Classical music...that is what plays in the restroom. The pool looked good but we did not use it and I am not sure about the hot tub. We stayed here in July and it was 108 degrees...hot tubs didn't appeal too much to us. This was just our hub to tour this part of Arizona. Only 25 miles to Tombstone and Sonoita, and 35 to Saguaro National Park and Tucson. I think the price is too high for this park in the dead of summer. There are probably better parks around here and in Tucson. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This park was definitely in need of some upgrading. It might have been the time of year but there wasn’t much staff in evidence. The couple who run (own?) the facility were very accommodating and the baths and showers though old would rate 10 on a cleanliness scale. Yes, there were lots of do not signs, but George Carlin would have found some of them amusing, especially the “flush frequently“ entreaty. Despite an objective 6 rating based, mostly on the visuals I wouldn’t hesitate to overnight here again if ever passing through. Two days might stretch it though. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Downgraded greatly due to poor condition of restroom/shower area. Roaches in the women's restroom. The general impression that it was reasonably clean until spending a little time in the shower area. The bathroom tiles were very grimy at the top - the walls above the tile were also grimy. This was old dirt that apparently had been there for some time. The same with corners and crevices in the restroom. It appears these areas had just been given "a lick and a promise" for quite a while. Needs a thorough scrubbing probably a little bleach or disinfectant wouldn't hurt either. The woman at the front desk was quite pleasant. I wouldn't have minded all of the "please don't" signs if the cleanliness had warranted it. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Pretty nice layout, but this campground was pretty deserted when I stayed there. Since you had to drive by another RV park to get to the KOA, maybe that park took most of the overnight traffic. Main complaint was an abundance of "please don't" signs. Please don't dye your hair in the sink; please don't turn off the speakers in the restroom; please don't leave the restroom without flushing, etc. I felt like a little kid in 1st grade!! Take some of these signs away, and the atmosphere would improve. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
It is acceptable for an overnight. Easy access to I-10, yet far enough away that road noise isn't an issue. Sites are level and accommodating. Water and electric are good. The WIFI has a nice strong signal. The Cable TV leaves a bit to be desired. There was a very fuzzy picture at our site. For us as "24" fans, the fact they don't offer the FOX Network is cause for serious demerits. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Yes our dog had problems with the burs in her fur. We kept her on the rocks. The dog walk in the desert is fine for short hair and larger dogs. This KOA is older and has that feel, but the utilities were fine and the showers were clean. The propane was the cheapest in the area, and folks were coming from other campgrounds to have their tanks filled here. This is not a destination campground, but worked for us for day travel to Tombstone and Bisbee. You are a half mile North of the interstate, and the train track, so while you can hear them, it is in the distance. The train does blow its whistle when it goes through town, and you will hear it, but it should only bother the fussiest of sleepers. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Grass type used in campground haw spurs - entire campground was covered - unable to let our dog walk outside without getting covered in these painful spurs to the point that he could not even walk. Spurs stick to bottom of your shoes and get inside your motor home. Campground is "worn" and quite bleak feeling. Trains run nearby all night -continuously. Not a good campground for pets and not a good campground for walking around. This campground was the most expensive one we stayed at in Arizona, but was the lowest rated by us. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This park is fine. Nothing spectacular, but certainly nothing wrong with it either. Convenient to the freeway. Pool area was a little dingy but it was OK. Train noise was not bothersome and you're not going to find anywhere in Benson where you won't hear the train. Pull throughs were plenty long and the utilities were all in working order. Don't know if it's worth an extended stay but a few days are fine and if you're just cruising I-10 and need an overnight you can't go wrong here. We'd stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Surprisingly found a small fridge in cabin. Many homey delights in cabin. Owners were kind. Showers were clean. Laundry was available and clean. Small TV to watch was in laundry room. Wonderful stay would definitely stay there again if through their way. We camped here in a Campground Cabin.
This was a very pretty KOA campgrounds, the mountains in the background where great, they had a BBQ dinner that you could order from a caterer if you got in late and did not want to cook, very friendly staff. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Helpful staff. Helped us take our tow vehicle into the local dealer for service. Little rustic but quiet surroundings. Good place to get away from it for awhile. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Owners spoke broken English which made check ins lengthy and difficult, very little grass anywhere, several sheds filled with wood, cardboard, and assorted trash, Koi pond needed a good cleaning, and mini-golf overdue for necessary repairs. Far enough away from I-10 that there wasn't much noise but a siren went off at 4 in the morning. OK for overnight but not much more. We camped here in a Campground Cabin.
What a totally enjoyable camping experience! The couple that owns and operates the place are fantastic hosts. They led us to our site with their golf cart. They helped us parking and delivered firewood and made change. The entire campground is VERY clean. We could even use the picnic table without a tablecloth. I loved the classical music in the bathroom. We have 4 kids and we could not find anything family friendly in Tucson. It was worth the extra drive. It is about 50 minutes past Tucson (heading East). They had a nice playground, nine holes of mini golf, pool table, video games and pinball machines. It was nice to have an internet computer in the office and wireless access. I was glad to support a family business run by a family that works hard. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Just your average KOA campground. Mostly gravel and dust, needs more upkeep. Fairly close to the new Kartchner Caverns State Park. We camped here in a camper.
Nice park, great for astronomy interested folks. Not much to do in Benson, but we just wanted to relax anyway. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice park. We had a pull-through that was paved; a first for us. Benson is very small, so you are right in the middle of everything. There is an on-sight observatory that is really neat. (We were surprised that we liked it so much.) You get some train noise, but you do that everywhere in Benson. We thought the staff were very friendly and very helpful in giving us places to go and see. Rate reflects CCUSA discount. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The people who run this RV park are downright nasty. They fill you up with their rules until you want to leave. They charge $5.00 extra for Wi-Fi. It is a clean place, but noisy. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We drove around town. This is hands down the nicest park in town. Very neat and clean. They close the pool and spa at 8`pm. Way to early for us, were night people. About the only other item of interest are the trains all night, lots of noise. Looking at the location of many of the other parks, they would be no better noise wise. We will stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very clean park. Rock and pavement, no gravel. I was in a pull thru and didn't have to unhook. The pull thru's taper off on the backside so it would be a long way down to drop rear stabilizers. On 1 night stays I usually don't drop front or rear stabilizers. The office was closed when we arrived but the manager saw us pull in and unlocked the door for my wife to check-in. Staff was friendly and the Safeway store is right around the corner. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This campground is not child friendly. Our 11 year old son and I were in the jacuzzi in the evening. The sign posted indicates no children under age 14 permitted without parental supervision. A man came and told us my son needed to get out because children under age 18 are not allowed in the jacuzzi. No one was using the facility except us and we weren't being noisy. If you're an old person looking for a quiet place to die, this is the best RV resort to visit. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed in Butterfield RV Resort for Feb and Mar. The place is spotless. They have entertainment, pot lucks, activities etc. Very quaint park. Staff keeps this place so clean it's amazing. It is not a gated park even though there is a cement wall around it. Anyone can enter at any time and apparently they do. There was a robbery of a video store in an adjoining plaza and the get-away was through the Butterfield RV Resort. A couple of times young men were caught jumping the wall and walking through sites as if to see what was available for the taking. We didn't like the fact that some of the repeat guests seemed to think the place was their own and really took on an attitude of rude bossiness and control toward the guests. It was detrimental to the overall good nature of the place. New management came in while we were there as well. That started out fine but there was a deterioration of attitude. The new Manager became snappish and unfriendly toward customers. Her husband inserted himself into things, even though he wasn't hired as manager, and really has no people skills. We heard him bad mouthing staff (one against the other)several times. The atmosphere became too heavy handed for us. Benson is at an altitude of over 4000 feet and it was cold and windy much of the time we were there. We actually had snow one night. While the snow was perhaps an anomaly, repeat visitors told us that the cold weather is normal. Not what we were seeking as a winter get away. In addition even though it is no reflection on the resort, there's not much going on in Benson. In fact, there is nothing going on in Benson so most activities and sight-seeing are about an hour away or more in any direction, with the exception of Kartchner Caverns. We spent a lot of time driving to other places. We will not be returning to Butterfield RV Resort based on this experience. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
First and foremost let me state that this RV park is extremely clean and well maintained by the resident staff who were extremely cordial. The public gathering facilities which include the pool, spa, club house, rest rooms/showers and banquet/social hall are spotless and up to date. Each site is spacious and well though out. The added feature of the observatory is commendable. On the negative side, the management staff that currently is in place leave a lot to be desired. The overall demeanor and curt responses to reasonable questions put to them left a sour taste in my mouth. Maintenance problems with the pool left it unusable for an extended period. I do not know, but being in Arizona where the quantity of swimming pools has to be enormous, seems to me parts and service could be performed rather quickly. Lastly, the trains are the worse. This park is extremely close to east and west bound container traffic that seems to be non stop 24/7 and they are loud for sure. This park located in some other venue under different supervision would be A++++++. This will be our last visit to the Butterfield RV Resort. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The new managers at this park are less then desirable, very unfriendly. Speeders in this park are out of control. They have a list of rules but no one seems to follow them. It does not feel as secure as other parks that have someone watching over it, they need security. The manager looses her temper easily and yells at her work campers in front of the guests, which I think is awful. I have been coming here for years and I am not sure if I will come back again next year since the atmosphere has changed so much. It isn’t the fun relaxing park it use to be. The internet is at a cost and you can’t keep it in half the time, it should be free since it isn’t very good. I was expecting computer classes again this year but there isn’t any now in the middle of the season, again after the new managers took over. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Park was nice looking but not sure about the noisy trains and ambulances throughout the days and nights. We were really looking for more activities to do, really wasn't anything going on while we were here; for the price we expected more. I went into the office this morning 1/26 and found the lady behind the desk being nasty to a lady in the office and making her cry. I am not sure what was going on but I don't think it should have been happening in the office in front of guests. For the price the internet should be free. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here with a group(thus the $5 per nite discount), and enjoyed our stay of 5 days. Yes, if you are going to stay a night, I wouldn't, as it takes a while to get used to the trains. However, this is the ony RV park in the U.S. that has a full fledged Observatory, and its free. Besides the interesting stargazing, nearby is Tombstone, Bisbee, and Fort Huachua (Home of the Buffalo Soldiers). We camped here in a Motorhome.
The park is within a half a block of a railroad track crossing where the passing trains blow their horns all night long. The park mainly caters to long term tenants with only about 27 of their 173 spaces available to overnighters. Their pull through spaces are only 50 feet long so if you have a longer coach pulling another vehicle you will have to disconnect it to fit in the space. If you want Wi-Fi you are going to have to pay $4.95 extra a day for it. After a long day hike we were looking forward to using their spa at 8:00 p.m. but were told by a man covering it up that it was closed. There was nothing posted at the pool or in their booklet about pool and spa hours. I went up to the office to find out if this was the case and was barked at twice by a rude red haired woman behind the desk to "take it up with the manager." I could only recommend this park if you like blaring train horns, or are deaf, or don't mind abuse by the staff. There are plenty of other parks in the area that look just as nice and aren't nearly as close to the railroad tracks. We will not return to this one. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is as good as it gets! This is a park that new owners should pattern theirs on. It is extremely clean. Pull through sites were paved, and the back in sites were gravel. Wi-Fi was available at $5 per day through Tengonet. However, my Verizon wireless card worked at 2600kb down; perfect signal. We originally were staying 2 nights but stayed an extra night to enjoy both a visit to Tombstone and to Kartchner Caverns. Management was very helpful and friendly. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
I would have given this park a "10" had it not been for the train that goes by every half hour, all day and all night long, honking their horns. The camp hosts were extremely friendly and most helpful when I had difficulty trying to get my satellite dish to align. Their son even helped me pull my tow dolly up onto the gravel as I was not strong enough to get it over the curb. The streets were paved, clean, and very wide. I had no problem maneuvering my 36' motorhome with attached tow dolly & SUV around this campground. I was impressed with how nicely kept it was. Great little town to stay in. Only a 30 minute drive to Tombstone, which was my ultimate destination. Would love to stay there again, except I literally got no sleep from the trains making all that noise all night long. I was there for 6 days and was exhausted by the time I left. Too bad because it really is a great park! One of the best I've been in yet. The sites were really spacious. The observatory was the best part. Our astronomer showed us some amazing sites including Mars, some star clusters, a galaxy far, far away and saved the very best for last, Saturn! It was the prettiest site I have ever seen in my life with it's ring shining around it and the 4 moons surrounding it. Almost worth the loss of sleep. Would recommend this park to those who aren't light sleepers like I am. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Good Sam park. $2 for each person after 2 people. WiFi for a fee. Nice heated pool, ice machine, game room. Observatory with 45 min presentation - got to see Mars, Saturn, many stars - a nice perk. Very clean, good showers, clean restrooms, good sized sites. Grocery store and restaurants about a block away. Easy interstate access. Would definitely stay again We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
I stayed at the park during peak season when rates are higher. It is a very high quality RV park excellent for big rigs with many pull thrus and good sized sites. The staff are very nice and there are many amenities. It is close to the railroad tracks which takes some getting used to. The onsite observatory is great with a nice nightly starwatching program. I am told that January is the best month to see the stars. There are many large trees though no amount of trees helps during the hot summer months. There is a Safeway just outside of the park, if you are traveling without a Toad. I will definitely stay at this park again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Great park. Good water and wifi. Great activitie program. And we LOVE the observatory star watching program. If you need a animal vet, we highly recommend Benson Animal Hospital. We camped here in a Motorhome.
$14 was for the monthly rate. If you like trains, this is the place for you – they blow their whistles all day and all night. Made it hard to sleep at times. This is not a very pet friendly park. We do not have pets but don’t mind them. However, there was only one small place to walk your pets and it was up in a far away corner of the park. Thus, people would walk their animals right next to our RV. Everyday, we would go out and see droppings by our RV or in the street in front of our RV. Sites are all gravel (expect the overnights which are paved and very, very small). The sites are unlevel and not very wide or long. They have strict rules keeping people from walking through occupied sites but this does not stop anyone – especially the seasonal or permanent residents – I guess the rules don’t apply to them. The whole park gets very dusty when the wind blows. Would only stay here again as an overnight. We camped here in a fifth wheel. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Stayed a week here in a fifth wheel. Nice managers and wonderful activity center. Spend Thanksgiving here and it was a well organized dinner. Highly recommended. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
I paid for a one month stay at 420/mo. I left two weeks early due to the constant train noise throughout the night. In all fairness most folks dealt with the train horns without complaint. The park itself is very nice and the amenities are wonderful. The on site astronomical observatory was the reason I stayed and it was great having the nightly observation sessions. Bottom line though was my need for a peaceful nights sleep so I left for a more quiet park in the Benson area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice, clean park. Pool great. Plenty of sightseeing to do in surrounding area. Train noise the only negative. All day, all night. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We have stayed here in the past for an extended stay. Things were just as nice now (perhaps better) than they were on our previous stay. Sites are level, laundry is well thought out and a good bargain. Hookups are situated in a very user friendly fashion. We will be returning to this park next Feb. for an extended stay! One of the best overall parks we have visited. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We were very impressed with the neatness of this park. The lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful. The roads were very wide and easy to turn on. The Wi-Fi was not free, but the ice was. Nice restaurant within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice and clean. Well laid out and easy to access. The observatory was closed due to clouds. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice clean park, friendly check in lady. Roads and sites are all gravel with small pine trees separating sites. Our site was not level and looked like many were not. Sites are kind of terraced also. Park is right in town and road noise is present but not as loud as the trains that run every hour on the hour blasting their horns several times right beside the park! Cable TV has limited channels. WiFi is thru a pay service. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Observatory and astronomer on-site were delightful nightly features. The park was clean and well-maintained, and the staff was helpful and friendly. Highly recommended. We camped here in a Motorhome.
What a pleasant surprise to find this caliber of park in Benson. Sites are large enough and they have about 35 or so asphalt pull thru level sites, along with the 140 or so back in sites. They also have a beautiful observatory right on the resort so you can see the stars up close and personal. The folks in the office we friendly and gave us directions to all the sights in the area. We will make this a place we will stop next time we are in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a very nice park and very clean, one of the cleanest parks I have seen. There are many retirees here that spend the winter. The sites are gravel and could be a little more level, but they are ample size. It is close to Safeway and the post office. The WIFI costs extra, but it works well. The only negative is the trains go by very often, it seems like every half hour, and blow their horns several times. This is very irritating at night. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is one of the best RV parks I have ever stayed in. I love that I can make online reservations. The location is perfect. Walk to Safeway and Ace Hardware. We came in a night and stayed a week. I would consider spending the winter here. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The park would be excellent, overall, if not for the train horns, which are blown constantly during the day and evening. The park is two blocks from a major highway/railroad crossing in Benson. The observatory is well managed and both on-site astronomers are very knowledgeable. I regretted having to leave this park, early, for another park in the general Benson area where train noise was not an issue. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Excellent park with very friendly staff. The only drawback is the train tracks nearby, however they never bothered us to the point of being a problem. Park is close to several neat towns and things to do. We stayed a week and would return anytime we are through the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very nice park. Recently got the 5 star Woodall's rating. Easy access to sites. Only problem is barking dogs. They have strong written policy but not aggressive enough on enforcement. Good place to tour this area of the Sonoran Desert. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very friendly staff. Very clean campground, nicely laid out, sites are large gravel and grass with very clean borders (don't know how they can keep that gravel off the grass!). Restrooms/showers very clean though not A/C. Observatory on site, operated nightly at 8:30, very friendly operator. Good WiFi, though comparatively pricey (Tengo, $4/night). Cable selection OK. Short walk to major grocery and many restaurants. Only complaint: pool hours are office hours, 8-8, which is pretty early to close a pool. I would definitely stay here again! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very nice park but the dog walk area was not very nice - small with lots of dust and dirt. The rest of the park was clean and everythink worked. The people at the desk were very nice and helpful. I would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Spotlessly clean - competent and friendly staff. Paved pullthroughs. Professional observatory with digital camera and tv screen for viewing. Many activities. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
WIFI works well. Wide paved streets, groomed level gravel big sites with plenty of room
between, nice picnic table with 10-12' pine tree beside it. Nice pool and spa behind villa walls. Very clean facilities, excellent laundry room ($1.25 for big washer/1.00 for big dryer), good exercise room, large gathering room with ping-pong, tables, kitchen. Good sized banquet hall for the many weekly activities. Fabulous mountain views in all directions. Next to shopping, but the campground is walled so you don't feel exposed to the commercial area outside. Post office and medical walk-in clinic across the street, small hospital down the street. Daily activities. Most interesting of all, there is a wonderful new fully equipped astronomy observatory on site - free to those who stay. Astronomy classes and groups and scheduled observations - on site astronomy guru (friendly and very helpful). For those interested in astronomy, this is the place to come. Great observing because of low light and air pollution. Very well run, very helpful staff. Great base to see Kartchner Caverns, several National Parks, Ft. Huachuca, Tombstone, and numerous other interesting things to see. Full shopping available in nearby Sierra Vista.
Peaceful and relaxing. This is the place to stay in Benson. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very, very nice place. Clean, quiet and easy to maneuver in/out of. Will absolutely return here. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This truly is an exceptional park. The layout and spaces were configured by someone who knew something about RV's. All sites are large and hookups are very well situated. Restrooms are kept spotless and showers are as clean as ours are at home. The pool area and hot tub are easily accessable and comfortable to use. We feel very secure here. This is a park to put on your must visit list if you are ever in the Tucson/Benson/Tombstone area. While the parks cleanliness and amenities are wonderful the management goes out of their way to make you feel like you are at home and not just visiting. Park owners and managers should take notice that this is how a RV park and resort should be operated. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a beautiful park. Clean and well maintained. At check-in, I was given a tour of pool, spa, clubhouse, laundry, restrooms, etc. The exercise room had new equipment and an massage lounge chair. There are 5 computers available to guests, plus a dial-up port, plus wi-fi. It is only $4 per day and, evidently, works just fine. Beautiful sunsets and quiet. Trains are everywhere in the west. Try living near an air force base! This is a delightful park. We will be back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
I wouldn't call this a resort, but it is a decent place to stay. They have friendly staff, good paved roads, and there are some activities offered. The biggest problem we encountered was the gravel pull-through sites that are up front. They are difficult to get into because, although they are wide enough, the actual pads, drop off on one side. On the other side, there are trees. If you get too close to the trees, you can't open your slides. If you get too far the other way, you fall off the slope in the site and can't get level, even with three layers of levelers. We had to change sites three times and finally settled for a back-in site. Because of this, we would probably not go back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a beautiful park and very well-maintained. Unfortunately, we camped in tent trailers and the railroad tracks are nearby. All night, every night, trains blasting their horns woke us up, sometimes as often as three times an hour! These horns were so loud, earplugs didn't even help. The observatory, while a very good feature, was open intermittently. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

We were in the short term pull-thrus toward the front of the park and found our gravel site to be level and roomy enough for our 30 ft class A. Good roads and easy access to the park and the site. The office staff was friendly and helpful. They have propane and are are a short walk from a good grocery store. The laundry was small but clean, pool looked nice but we did not use it. Bathrooms and showers were clean and well maintained. It was cloudy during our stay so we did not have an opportunity to visit the observatory. We really enjoyed a day trip to Fort Huachuca while we were there. Definitely some train noise but we'd consider staying here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very clean park; level, well manicured sites. Dog friendly; even has a fenced in area where they can run around and “do their business”. Large community center with exercise room, public computer available (although it is an old slow machine and dialup, not connected to WiFi), computer lab for training classes, library. Beautiful observatory. Convenient shopping very nearby. A short drive from the freeway. Unfortunately the park is situated near railroad tracks and every passing train blows their whistles at every crossing which is annoying in the middle of the night. I would rate this park higher but I thought the sites were narrow, the WiFi was very expensive compared to other parks and I was extremely disappointed with the operations of the observatory. When checking in on a Tuesday, the hostess told me the next scheduled viewing would be Thursday evening. We only planned on staying one night. Wednesday morning, while walking the dogs, I heard the observatory closing. The operator told me I just missed viewing the moon and Saturn. He confirmed that the next viewing would be Thursday evening so we decided to stay 2 additional nights. No one could explain why the observatory was not made available more often. On Thursday, late afternoon, the operator decided to cancel the evening viewing session because there were a few clouds in the sky. As it turned out, the clouds were gone at the scheduled viewing time but the observatory remained closed. Very disappointing. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice clean park located away from crowded bigger cities. A good spot for a base camp to
visit Tucson, Tombstone and surrounding areas. They have been working on wifi for some time now but it still in not in operation. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Excellent park, located near the Safeway grocery store, Radio Shack, Ace Hardware, etc.
About 1 week away from completion of WiFi installation. Very clean park, lots of activities. Friendly! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
There was shade in the pull through area. Each site has a picnic table. The sewer hose must be off the ground per a county ordinance. The bathroom and shower area are clean and proximate to the pool which is approximately 24 feet wide by 40 feet long. We utilized the camp-club rate. The resort is clean and well managed with an adjoining area for people who have bought lots. Cable TV worked well and the water pressure was adequate. Electricity was in the pull through area, and the street and site are paved. There are limited pull through sites. Nearby is Kartcher Caverns, which is a must see. I would stay here again and would like to stay longer next time. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a really nice clean park. We parked on the asphalt but most of the sites are pea gravel. Very well maintained and the office staff were helpful. We originally registered for 5 nights but decidced to stay another 2 days since we really enjoyed it. A mile south of the highway exit so no road noise. Approximately 3 miles from downtown Benson, 24 miles from Tombstone and 40 miles from the Davis Mothan Boneyard. The only negative thing I would have to say is the Pool/Spa hours. They do not open until 12:00 and close at 8:00 pm. I would like to see the Spa open at 9:00 am and close at 10:00 pm when quiet hours are. The pool was not heated yet but the water was bearable. This is a very nice park and I would definitely camp here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a great park. We have stayed here before. It is always very clean and well kept up. The spaces are huge. I was surprised to see that they are no longer heating the swimming pool. I heard it was due to the cost. That was a shame as it is such a nice pool. I jumped in anyway, but it was ice cold. This park is still a bargin, but I'd pay another dollar to have a heated pool. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We intended to stay one night and stayed three. We had a nice pull through with a cement pad. Not much landscaping at the sites but it is the desert. One hour from Tombstone and Tucson; and two hours from Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. Showers and laundry room were clean but on the old side. Pool was freezing cold. Jam fest was being held in clubhouse. Nice field next door to run a dog. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Sites were large and open which was very nice! The streets were wide, paved, and easy to navigate with the motorhome. It was very quiet after 10 p.m. Gravel sites were groomed immediately after they were vacant; many part time workers kept streets and buildings spotless and ready for use. Full time residents were very friendly to those of us who stopped briefly (for a week). Many places to go for interesting day trips around the area; this makes a great base camp. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We were here with our FMCA Chapter for our annual New Years Eve Rally. The park is clean and well laid out with paved pull throughs and gravel back in sites. All of the sites were extra wide and very clean and level. The facilities were excellent with two communal group buildings with full kitchen and meeting facilities. The park had a mixture of over nighters and winter "snow birds" along with our rally group of 22 coaches. The staff was friendly and did all they could to help everyone that needed any assistance. The local area is rich with sights to see. All in all this is an excellent overnight stop or a longer term home. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a Passport America park and it was well worth the price. It’s nicer than the majority of the other parks in the area. It’s far enough off the highway to get a good nights sleep and it’s very clean and we felt safe here. A nice park with quiet, friendly and helpful staff. There were no power problems and good water pressure. Good cell and Aircard reception (Verizon). Dome satellite came in fine. The site was asphalt that was level and very wide. We didn’t have to unhook our tow vehicle which is always nice. The sewer hookup was further to the rear of the site making us use an extension on the sewer hose. They also require the sewer hose to be elevated off the ground. Attractions are close by and easily accessible. This was an overnight stop for us while heading west. We will stay here again when passing through the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was a nice park about 3 years ago, but now with the subdivision building up beside it not much of a view unless you are in one of the two or three sites where you can look at the mountains in the distance. Also, during the summer months, the workers apparently don't have enough to do. It seems that every time we were outside they were driving by to see what we were doing. They have a vehicle wash fee of $5 which I paid and obtained the permit. While we were washing our 5th wheel I saw 2 different people drive past the site twice and look at the permit. Therefore, we will not return to this campground. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very nice park. We were in the pull through area with 50 amp service. Sites were paved. Very wide and great for a big rig with 4 slides. Did not have to unhook the toad as there was plenty of space to park and to enter and leave the site. The pool was great. The "exercise room" left a lot to be desired. All equipment was outside and pretty basic, old and inexpensive equipment. Overall this was a nice park and would definitely stay there again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is one of the cleanest, friendliest and easiest to maneuver in RV Parks we have stayed in. The pool, hot tub, and laundry facilities are great. They charge $5 for the extra water to wash an RV. Internet is provided by Tengonet $4/night or discounts for longer. Staff is especially helpful. Lots of full-timers stay here for a few weeks at a time. The only downside to the park is it location in Benson. Benson is centrally located but not the type of town that we like to explore. The friendliness of the "natives" makes Benson tolerable. I cannot recommend an RV park higher than Cochise Terrace. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Probably one of the best we've visited. Clean, neat, and very courteous staff. Beautiful views. Could not have been nicer. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stayed here close to 3 weeks, and felt it was a great RV Park. This park is very well maintained and a lovely spot. The park is up on a ridge looking out over the valley with hills all around you. As soon as a RV leaves the park, the staff come and grade the gravel and clean up the site for the next person. The grounds are landscaped nicely, the pool and hot tub are huge and clean, they have a nice club house and "a barn" where there is entertainment. There are a lot of planned activities. Our site was good size (gravel) with plenty of room on both sides to set up chairs and park your vehicle. I would highly recommend this park and it is a great bargin with a Passport America membership. The WIFI works very well, but there is an additional fee for that service. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is our second stay here. One of the best parks we've visited. Price is with a Passport America membership. WiFi is extra at at reasonable $4 per day We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This was our 4th time staying at this campground. It is immaculate! We just stayed overnight this time, so were in a pull thru site near the office. It was the end pavement site, so we had a picnic table, grill and our own nice little cactus garden! We didn't need to unhook, as the space was large enough for our 37' fifth wheel and medium duty truck. The office staff was very accommodating, as usual. We purchased propane while there and the staff came and got our bottle, filled it and delivered it back to the trailer. We paid the Passport America rate of $19.00. We always stay at this park while in Benson and will definitely return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stayed here for one night using Passport America. We had a very nice pull through site. They do have unusual rules about your sewer hose. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice pool area. Right off of the 10 but far enough away you can't hear it. All paved sites with desert vegetation. Close to Tombstone. A modern RV park that will accommodate any size RV. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We are currently here at the park. Very nice park with huge lots 40 X 70 , landscaped, very clean, and the personnel were extremely nice and accomidating. They have a nice dog trail to walk your dogs, plus after looking at several other parks in the area , this is by far the nicest one. Lots to see and do in the area. Has beautiful mountain scenery surrounding the entire campground. Added bonus is it's a Passport America Park. Will be back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a really nice park. There are a few pull through sites, however, the majority of sites are "back ins" on compact gravel. Our site was a back in, with plenty of room for our coach and parking for our toad. We were here with a rally – the facilities were clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. We had 50 amp service, full hook up with CATV. Kartchner Caverns State Park is only 8 miles down the road. The park is about 1 mile off I-10 so highway noise was not a problem. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a beautifully kept park and easy access. I would normally rate this much higher but we cracked our windshield getting level in a pull through site. The site was down in the back and a lot to the right. When we leveled I saw that my back wheels on the right side were off the ground. It was already too late since it cracked the fiberglass and the windshield on the right. I feel that the site was the problem and management did not agree and said it had not happened before. Rather expensive stay for us. We have leveled up in more than 150 RV parks in the last 7 years and we rarely have to raise the back to get level. I will be more careful with sites when I get the new windshield installed. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This was our second time at this park. The staff is very helpful and friendly. It is a very nice park with a great pool. We would definitely stay here again. Our rate was with passport. We stayed here in a fifth wheel. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Nice park with wide, level sites. Friendly and helpful staff. This is a huge park with a whole section of park models. Walmart, market, and restaurants are a mile away in town. No noise from I-10. This park is a good base for exploring Bisbee, Tombstone, Sierra Vista. We would definitely stay there again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a very nice, clean park. There are only 9 pull through sites, all paved. All the remaining sites are "back in" on nice compact gravel. They have short term and long term sites with the only difference being the short team sites don't have phone hook ups. We had 50 amp service, full hook up with CATV. We stayed here to visit Kartchner Caverns which is only 8 miles down the road. The park is about 1 mile off I-10 so there was no problem with highway noise. A great park that we'll definitely return to. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a fantastic park with large, well groomed sites. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. One of the best parks we have stayed in. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We love to camp at this park traveling to and from California. The mountain views are beautiful and pool and clubhouse are large and very clean. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Nice park, beatiful view, and well maintained. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is my first review and our first trip out with our first RV in over 30 years. This was our shakedown cruise close to home. The only reason that this is not a 10 is that we don't have anything to compare it to. The staff here seems to be mostly longterm residence but they are excellent. We were warmly greeted, escorted to our site, and helped to back in. Our escort even took time to sit down with us concerning campground ettiquette and local rules. This campground is immaculate. Every site is raked and cleaned and prepped before a new RV is sited on the lot. Lots are wide (40 foot+) and deep. Facilities excellent and clean. Access to I10 is easy but the resort is far enough away from the highway to be quite. Very little shade, and immature trees, but you are in the high Sonora Desert. $19 cost represents a Military/Military Retiree Rate for the rest of you Old Soldiers. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Very nice park, really big lots, very clean, lots of dog walking areas, nice laundry room but a bit cramped, nice common areas, close to Benson, very nice little town that has a grocery store and a couple of dollar stores. We would stay here again, in fact I wouldn't mind buying a site here. Passport America park - $133/wk. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We were very pleased with our stay at this park. Located on a plateau above Benson, it is very well maintained by a host of frenetic workampers on golf carts. The lots are very large, not much shade but typical of this area. Lots of activities & the staff is very friendly. Unlike the other Benson parks, there is no train or interstate noise. An all-RV park, no park models or permanent residents. We'd stay here again, this is a quality park at a very reasonable price. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Stayed at Passport Am. rate for a week. Our favorite stopover in Benson. Love the awesome view of the valley and the Dragoon Mtns' to the east. All facilities are maintained in excellent condition by dedicated staff of workampers. Nice big laundry room. $1.00/.75 wash/dry. And the dryers DRY. Only downside, at certain times of the year the wind comes blowing through like a freight train often. Don't leave the awning out. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very friendly staff, they help you park, each site is rake and cleaned after a camper leaves. Well kept grounds and bath facilites. All the ammenities; pool, hot tub, bocci, etc. A dance hall that doubles as a music hall where local musicans play. Camped here for a month. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed for one month and enjoyed it immensely. There were activities, potlucks, movies (with popcorn), trips, etc. Very friendly staff and the grounds are kept up. Pool was very nice. We camped here in a camper.
An impressive campground for motor homes and a great base camp for the Benson and Sierra Vista area. We were here during the off-season with just five other campers including a very friendly and helpful campground host. The thundertorms were great and the cavern tour is most worthwhile. The pull through sites have the 50 amp service, plenty of space, and we were able to easily level our motor home. The tall mesquite trees provided plenty of shade and we had great views of the Whetstone Mountains. There is a public dump station between the entrance station and the campground. We camped here for three nights in a motor home and we will return again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This special campground was just as good in 2009 as it was when we stayed here previously in March 2006. The sites are very well spaced and the trees have shown a lot of growth. Most people stay here for one or two nights while visiting the caverns but we liked it so much we stayed for 5 nights and used it as a base to take daily drives in the toad to different places like Sierra Vista, Fort Huachuca, Tombstone and even Bisbee. Reservations are not accepted but you will have a good chance of getting in during the busy season if you check in between 8-10am. Two traveler notes to pass on in the area. If you get off I-10 at hwy 92 to go to the caverns be watchful of your two choices of fuel. The Shell was $2.62 and the gas station across the street was $2.03. According to the clerk at Shell, there is always a huge spread in price. Second, Sierra Vista has just about anything you might need from supermarkets to retail stores (Walmarts, Marshalls, Target, etc) and virtually any type restaurant you could want. Kartchner Caverns State Park is a don’t miss place with an awesome cave and a terrific campground. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The campsites were very nice, great views, and warm weather. We toured the Kartchner Caverns which were very interesting. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a great state park with the added attraction of Caverns that are reported to be fabulous (I'm not a cave person) and the park is so lovely, well appointed and has such beauty that it is hard to leave. Good base to see Tombstone and Bisbee if you are so inclined. Shopping is better in Sierra Vista than Benson and distance is just a little greater. Ranger presentations, hiking and birds abound. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a wonderful campground-one of our very favorites! This made us a big fan of Arizona State Parks and prompted us to seek them out whenever possible. The spaces are roomy, and the showers are spotless! The rangers and volunteers are very helpful and friendly. This state park is state of the art, gate key entry, great hiking, clean air, fabulous views, amazing cavern tours, viewable wildlife, good Mexican restaurant in Benson. Every time we stay, we want to stay longer!! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Nice desert setting with large sites. Beautiful sunset views. Quiet park. Pull throughs 50 amp and backins 30 amp. Nearly empty. Caverns right here, tours expensive and redundant. Throne room is best tour. Shopping at least 10 miles away. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Great Location. It was walking distance from the visitor center. The facilities were very clean, and well maintained. The spots were on a first come, first served basis. Very quiet at all times, and the staff was very helpful. Water pressure was fine, and electric gave no problems. Dump station was easy to get to, and fairly clean. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a really nice campground. Not a lot of RV Park ammenities but a nice spot to camp in when one wants to see these wonderful pristine caverns. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Very nice, clean State Park campground. All paved interior roads and paved pull through and back-in sites. Sites have water and electric hook-ups. Area would be a little more scenic with "green" in the trees, but, this time of the year, not gonna happen! The showers and restrooms were detailed every day by the staff and were extremely clean! The tours of the caverns are WELL worth the expense! Tombstone only 30 min. drive away. We'll be back! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Pretty new campground, only opened a few years ago. Well laid out and very clean and updated bathrooms. We really liked the hiking paths that started right nearby; you can hike as long or as short as you want. Lots of coyotes barking at night, don't leave the cat out! No cable/internet/telephone, but that's okay with us. Good security, park locks up at night. If you go, definitely call ahead and get tickets for Kartchner Caverns, recommend the Big Room tour first if you haven't ever been. Superb! This park is one of our top five in 16 states we've visited. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Newer park, rangers very friendly, camp hosts nice. Spaces are very wide and spaced well
at different angles. Beautiful scenery all around and the stars are wonderful at night with no streetlights to bother you. Local wildlife roams thru the
campground. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Dump station in area. This is a great campground and state park. You need reservations to tour the caverns [ usually booked ahead 2 to 3 months ]. Well worth waiting to see. The campground and tour are both handicap friendly. The sites are natural surroundings and very long and wide. We camped here in a camper.
This place is a keeper. We stayed here four nights. Our site was next to one of the three ponds. The resident geese and ducks were fun to watch. There was a big open area nearby where we could walk our dog and within walking distance of the park is a "viewable wildlife area" that runs next to the San Pedro River. A real nice place for a walk and birding. From what we saw in our exploring the area, this is about the nicest RV park in town. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Passport America Rate. Very nice, clean campground with very friendly staff and owner. Catch and release fishing, without a state license required, is available in the artesian spring fed lakes. The site we had was gravel but was nicely maintained and level. The only thing that kept this park from receiving a high rating from me was that they are currently grading all of the campsite roads in preparation for paving the roads. It has been very difficult for them to complete this task since this part of Arizona has been receiving quite a bit of rain. Will be a an even nicer park when this rather large job is completed. In addition, they had LPG available and a very reasonable price. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Passport America rate. We were in the slack season between winter and summer. Park nice, some highway noise, several lakes on site. During winter it is filled with snowbirds.Looks a little rough when entering as all you see is the coach storage area, but interior is very nice. Train noise at night, but this is true for so many parks in th west. Remember, they do not do daylight savings time, so you are 3 hours behind Eastern time. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We stayed 3 months. The WiFi is Tengo, $2 a day and poor signal. We were able to get DSL within a week and it was great. The clubhouse has very slow dial up. About 60 cable channels. There are 3 designated pull-thru sites. The slabs need repairing or replacing, and the road in the park needs patching in places. Staff was wonderful, and it was very clean. Very friendly park. Would stay there again without hesitation. A little bit of freeway noise, never noticed the train noise. Able to be outside and chat with neighbors without any problems. Found out is was cheaper rate with Passport American than with Good Sam as the last week we stayed we paid for just that week. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We stayed at this park overnight this year but had stayed here 3 weeks last year. The facilities are excellent and we enjoyed the pool and recreation hall very much. The washrooms were very clean and we used them quite often. The only downside of this park is that there are technically no pull through sites. When we arrived we were able to use the site behind us to "pull through" as the parks was not particularly full at this time. However with near full conditions you would have to back into your site. The only other problem was that the site we were assigned had only 50 amp and 15 amp service. We have a 30 amp service so we had to use the 15 amp service as I did not have the proper adapter (since purchased!). The railroad noise is noticable but not overbearing. We would return again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
This is a very pretty park. Lots of trees around a little lake. Nice Rec. room and Pool. Only down side is train noise in the distance. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
A very basic campground. Near freeway, near attractions. Very friendly and helpful manager. Prices listed in Passport America were not the ones we were charged, plus we were told they were going up. Good place for a night or two to just sleep. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This is a Escapees membership park with lovely paved streets and level sites. They have a large clubhouse and plenty of social activities. Laundry facilities are exceptional due to brand new front loader machines. They also have a fenced area as a dog park. This is a marvelous 55+ park and we will return. We camped here in a Motorhome.
The best of the 10 Escapee parks we've been to so far. Very nice facilities, layout and staff. Our huge site wasn't level and the sewer hookup was difficult (too high and out of the way), but we did have a fine view of the mountains. Daily rate with tax is $17+ Escapee, and there are good deals on longer stays. This place is a good reason to join Escapees. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a membership (Escapees) park. It is the nicest of the SKP parks that we have visited. The staff is friendly and always tries to give you a site with the best view possible. The campground is situated on a hillside with great views across the desert towards the mountain. There are lots of birds and one can hear coyotes yipping in the evening. They have a very nice clubhouse for social gatherings. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is an Escapees membership park. One of the nicest parks we have stayed in. Paved streets, great cable, large lots, large club house with lots of amenities. We stayed here for a month and enjoyed our stay. Very friendly people and many interesting places to see near by. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Well, I almost didn't write a review of this park because I didn't want anyone else to know about this place. I wanted to keep it a secret for fear that it will get too popular and then we won't be able to get in next time we want to stay here, but fair is fair and if I'm going to write about a bad experience I guess I should write about a good experience when I have one. This is by far the nicest and most well-run RV park we have ever stayed at. The office staff is highly competent, knowledgeable about the area, accommodating to guests' needs, gracious and cheerful. The park itself is nicely situated on a gently sloping hill a few miles outside of Benson with peace and quiet and great desert views. The spacious community clubhouse features a large kitchen, laundry room, library, TV watching area, exercise room and areas for card playing, etc. There are tons of activities from line dancing to hiking to ATV riding to quilting to aerobics to whatever else might interest you. The residents are diverse in their interests and unfailingly friendly. They take great pride in their park and it shows. We spent a week in a full hook-up site (base rate is $15/day and electricity is extra) and 3 days in the dry camp area for $5/night. My only negative comment is that none of the Escapees parks takes reservations so it is always a bit of a gamble when you pull in as to whether there will be a spot available or not, but it has usually worked out well for us. You must be an Escapees member to use this park and you can dry camp for only 3 days unless you get on a waiting list for a full hook-up site. We will definitely be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.
A must for Escapees! This is how RV camping should be. Lots of room, very friendly, lots going on. There is an excellent library. Very nice laundry. Note that electricity is in addition to the nightly rate. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park is excellent. The sites are large with excellent 50 amp electrical hookups. The staff was very friendly. Lots of activities, free DVD's, and fabulous library. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
It is Escapees members' park. We stay two times, one was in winter and recently in the summer. Nice and clean park, good interior road, great mountain view. Friendly staff with spacious lots. Lot of social activities in the winter and less in the hot summer. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Can't beat the price (Resorts of Distinction members)! Easy access. Sites slope slightly. Gravel. No patio. Good wifi, satelite, and cell phone service. Very windy area in the spring. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Valley Vista RV Resort is a Sunbelt property (owned by Western Horizons) and we stayed here under Resort Parks International. The park is okay - the sites are rather on top of each other and clean, but not graveled - sort of a mixture of gravel and dirt/sand. There is a club house with a pool table, card tables, large book exchange and TV. The laundry room has about 5 washers & 5 dryers and is spacious and clean. There is a nice pool, a bit smallish but warm, and a hot tub in the same area. The activities are plentiful, with various card games, shuffleboard, pot lucks, and a variety of other games. Two very good things about this park ~ the staff is very nice and the WiFI works and works well! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
We stayed here using Coast to Coast. Older park that is showing its age. Showers and rest rooms were clean but tired. Laundromat only has five washers and driers. Swimming pool is small but sufficiently heated. Site is gravel with dead grass which tracks easily into the rig. Some shade trees and some desert views. Staff very friendly and helpful. Cable TV and wi-fi available for a fee. Wi-fi strength is good. Part of the Western Horizon group. We camped here in a Motorhome.
They have very friendly staff. This is an old KOA type park, with no paved sites. We asked to get one of the back in sites in the backside that have a view of the desert. These sites are pretty tight, and carry with them a $2 additional charge for cable TV which we did not want or use. We stayed here on Resorts of distinction, so we didn't complain to much about the additional $2 charge. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Wide sites with little fences on sides and back. Cable and WiFi extra $$. Big trade-library. Friendly staff, landscaped, no train or road noise. What's not to like? We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
