Great park! The Park is very clean and friendly staff. Sites are the largest in the area with concrete pads on all. We will return to this park soon. Best of all, the rates are the lowest of all the RV parks in the area!!...must see. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is our third stay at this park. It is mostly park models but they are well maintained and the grounds are very nice. There is road noise although it was drowned out by our air conditioner which was running constantly. Summer is off season in Yuma since it gets very hot. Most of the park models and the RV spaces were empty because of the summer heat. Come winter the snowbirds come back and the place is bustling. The rates go up too. This was a one night stop on the way to San Diego and we will stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is mostly mobile houses. Our site was the first one inside the entrance off the main road. The street noise was constant but bearable. There was some aircraft noise, but again, it was bearable. We only saw about 20 sites in the front area and we were 1 or 4 coaches in this section. The office door was open but I had to complete the paperwork and drop it in the night box. The hookups are to the rear of the coach and the water pressure is very high. This is a good site for a stop over. Our PPA rate was 17.27. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice older park with lots of not so nice park models. The facility was clean and maintained with nice landscaping. The staff was ok. This is an older crowd of RVer's that are friendly but not what we are looking for. Activities were 6 on a scale of 10. While this park did not work for us I do recommend it. I guess we are just looking for newer with a younger group. (we are early 60's) We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is our second time staying here. It is mostly park models and semi-permanent residents. It is well maintained and nicely landscaped. The office staff is friendly and helpful. The sites are gravel with concrete patios. They are a bit on the small side, but adequate for a short stay. All that being said, a large negative is the noise. The short term sites are near the entrance to the park and the road noise is constant. There is also a military base nearby with low flying jets causing very loud noise during the day. So because of the incessant noise, I have marked the rating down. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is the most pet unfriendly place we have encountered. They state pets are welcome, but must be walked outside the park. The pet walk is a narrow area in front on a busy, noisy highway. Noise is a major factor at Araby Acres. There are construction sites on both sides, as well as a railroad that runs noisy trains night and day. The airport is also nearby with planes landing and taking off frequently and traffic is heavy and loud. The showers are limited, and not individual. I would never stay there again. The price is very high for limited amenities. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Although this park is well landscaped with lots of amenities I gave it a 6 as the space they gave us is the worst in the park. We were camped along the front fence with lots of traffic noise. The WiFi only worked half the time and was super slow. Our space was more suited for a very small rig. The office keeps short hours and is closed on weekends. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We are grading based on the brief stay that we were there. The staff is very nice and the grounds are old and mostly permanent trailers for the snowbirds. Unfortunately, the few sites designated for RVs are very small and narrow and short. After trying to back in to our space we found our slides would be pushing up against the trailer next to us; so we had to leave. (We have a 40' MH with a tow.) They were very kind to reimburse our money (some parks will say too bad!) The park is well-located close to town, but try another if you're over 38'. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice park with really friendly folks staying there. The staff was very helpful. The sites are large and level. Many of the sites are park models which are for rent or privately owned. Most of the seasonal folks are from British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan in Canada. We stayed for two nights on our way to San Diego. The only complaint we had was with the internet connection which cost an additional $4.95 per day and was not always reliable. Were it not for that issue, we would give it a 10. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stopped here on the way to San Diego for an overnight. All I can say it was very, very hot. Our Cambria worked hard with its one AC to try to keep us cool. The office staff was nice and it was a fine place to stay. They've built a wonderful RV gas station across the street on the way to getting back on the interstate so we tanked up there. Getting to the RV park was a little work and since we can stay at any number of parks right off the interstate, we might not return here to Araby. But then again, being a Passport and Encore park with good discounts, we just might return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We loved this park. Yes, at $28 a night with Passport America it is on the high side. However, we visited many parks in the area and did not see any as nice. There is limited parking for motor homes as this is mainly a 55+ Snow Bird park with mostly park models. Everyone is very friendly, and there are lots of activities. December weather is terrific and there is lots to do in the area. Great medical/dental/vision faculties are available in Algodones, Mexico. We found the city water to be quite acceptable. We stayed a week. We'd certainly stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This looks like a nice place but they have raised their rates considerably. The price in Passport America showed $18 plus a $3 per day resort fee. They now charge $22.50 plus $3 plus tax. The total was over $28 and this was half price. We said thank you very much and did not stay. This was in October and the park was almost empty. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Passport American Park rate honored. Purchased by Encore two years ago. Stayed here one night while passing through. Pull throughs for overnighters in the front. Relatively easy freeway access but limited big rig sites. Manager very friendly and snowbirds gone by May so park was empty and spaces available. Beautiful surroundings grassy area with fountain, pond and two black swans, only a mile from a new Super Wal-mart. WiFi with Tengo very good. Only reason I don't rate higher is tight sites and interior roads and limited sites available for overnighters during peak season, otherwise it would be a 10. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Limited number of spaces if you are in for overnight or just a few days, mostly full timers and monthly's. Gravel, slightly shaded sites. Limited TV channels, no WiFi, Internet is dial-up in library. A very clean, attractive (small palms & pond with Swans), easy access in and out. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a 55 plus park. Kids are welcome but only for two weeks. Really only 25 sites are for RVs, the rest have park models on them. Most of the RV sites are at the front of the resort. Has a busy highway in front of the resort. Lots of noisy traffic. Train horn noise. Lots of aircraft flying overhead. Has lots of activities, two swimming pools and hot tubs. Two buildings that have showers and restrooms. Super nice library. Weight room and pool tables. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Stopped here for two nights in order to do repairs on antifreeze system before heading over the mountains to San Diego. Rate reflects Passport America prices. We would not have stayed here at thei full prices. Very friendly & helpful staff. Very clean restrooms with large showers. Road is pea gravel, sites are larger gravel. Staff maintains park very well. They even ave a recycling program. We were able to get our 40' Mandalay washed & hand waxed for $100! They even pressure washed our tandem tow dolly for free! We would stay here again as the location is great & so is the rates. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A great park if you want to stay a few days and explore Yuma. The staff was friendly, the sites level and long with good 50 amp service. We would not hesitate to stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice small park. It was clean, there was new bathrooms and a new laundry room. The Wi-Fi cost $5.00/day, a bit pricey, we did not use it. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We enjoyed this year's visit much more than last year. The restrooms and laundry areas were new and beautiful as compared to last year when they were closed down. The only real complaint is that it is a little noisy from the road, but not really horrible. The Wi-Fi was lousy and expensive. It was $4 a day or $16 a week, but not worth the price since it was slow and not very reliable. We kept getting dropped and could only log on from one computer at a time. I think for the price, the Wi-Fi should have been free. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I guess this wasn't a bad campground, but nothing really here that stands out as wonderful. If restrooms/showers/laundry onsite is important to you, better call ahead to check if they have their renovations done yet. We were here 6 weeks, and didn't see anything being done. The closest laundromat is about 4 miles away. Inner roads and sites are gravel, sites are mostly level, decent width, and have a cement patio. The pet set-up for dogs is really nice: the back of the park is next to an irrigation canal with wide paths on either side. Great place to walk pets, hike, jog, bike, etc. There were some organized activities and get-togethers; we didn't take part in most of them. Quite a few "regulars" who come here year after year. The office staff was very friendly, gave us our first choice of sites, lots of printed information about things to do in Yuma. The electric rate is 18 cents per KWH, which is the highest we paid this winter. They seemed to have empty sites most of the month for overnights. It was clean and we felt safe. Some noise from trains, the highway in front, and the Marine Corps jets. If going back to Yuma, we would try to stay at a location closer to town, but wouldn't have a big problem staying here again. Our stay at Arizona Sands was terrible. They had no showers or restrooms. They had a trailer setup for showers and toilet. Showers and restrooms were closed because they did not pass inspection after being renovated. Attended the Valentine's Day Dinner at the clubhouse and the meal was terrible for $8.00 per person. The activity lady was rude to us when we would ask her a question. Come to find out, they have no licenses for food handling or any other activity in the park. Not many activities in this park other than food. The office lady was very helpful but activity lady not very personable. Would not stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was an okay campground close to town and on a main street. I had called ahead for reservations, but where we got there, we were informed that the laundry was closed down and the only facility they had for a shower and bathroom was a trailer near the bathroom that the owner had for sale. Since we had been camping in Quartzsite for eight days before this, we were looking forward to being able to do laundry and have a nice hot shower other than the one in our rig. We were told that we had been told that the laundry and bathrooms were not functioning when we had called for reservations, but this is simply not true. Other than that, the people were very nice. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The price we paid was a club rate. The front office staff was friendly and very helpful when looking for supplies, attractions and repairs in the Yuma area. We had over 2 inches of rain in a 24 hour period. The park drained well and staff moved rock and put in drainage ditches to move any large puddles. There was a nice recreation room made available for our club. A BBQ, Art Show and numerous activities were available for residents of the park. All the roads are gravel. The park backs up to a canal. The canal has a dirt walkway that is great for walking dogs or jogging. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

In a city with lots of RV parks for adults only, this park welcomed us to stay overnight with our children. It is nothing special and the bathrooms were not heated, but is a nice place for an overnight stop. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed here last year and came back again. Reasonable monthly rate. We don't need the swimming pool and spas other parks offer, we just like friendly folks and clean parks. It is also convenient to everything. Really like the entry as it has a traffic light for ease of entering and leaving. The staff patrols the park, pet owners are responsible and the walk along the canal is great. As in a lot of the RV parks in the area we get a lot of Air traffic from the Marine Base, doesn't bother me, it's the sound of Freedom. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for 3 months. Nice place except they have gravel and sand road. Dusty most of the time. They do wet down the roads once a week. Next to busy highway. Marine air base 1/2 mile away with loud jets during the day. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I found this to be a good value park. A pool would have been nice, but we got by just fine without it. This is not a destination type of park. The sites are mostly gravel and level. Hookups are well situated and easy to access. Shade trees are just now starting to give shade. They are placed nicely. Access from the freeway is good. Easy in and out going eastbound or westbound. Some highway noise. Grounds are well kept and clean. We noticed security/manager going by in their carts several times while we were there. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Back-in site not level. Hookups all worked. Sites are more sand than advertised grass. Overnighters in front get all the traffic noise from the highway. Sites in back near the irrigation canal are fairly quiet. WIFI is a fee service and usually works. After a years absence the internet provider still had my old user name, but wouldn't let me connect due to problems with billing address. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Lovely park! Lovely trains! The 3:10, the 4:10, the 5:10, etc. Check-in seemed flawless until we were shown to our site. It was occupied. We were then put on a corner that left no room for our long truck. The park was not full so this spot was not all that was left. Had to make sure we left enough room for the neighbor to park which eventually got territorial. Very friendly Canadians. Not too sure if we would return due to the charcoal fires. Breathing became an option. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Camped for a month and a half, very clicky. Trains and their whistles blow every 20 minutes day and night. Even after 40 nights we still woke up with the train whistles. Tracks are very close. I would not return. Everything else was fine. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Lots of trees and lots of Park Models. Pool was kept way too HOT for a normal human. Activities were plentiful but not aimed at younger folks. TV was pitiful, and there was only 1 computer which was in the card room. The library is in the card room too-those card players will not move to let anyone in!!!It felt like we were in a party that we had not been invited to. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very old depressing park with a lot of ancient RV's. Small sites consisting of stone with a small slab of concrete for a patio. We only stayed a few days which was a big plus. I always read the old reviews & had to laugh at the "dog run". It's not enclosed at the ends and is actually an unused dirt and sand road. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We spent alot of time researching the RV parks in Yuma. Between the military air base, the active railroad through town, and I-8 running east/west, it's challenging to find any quiet place to stop for a few days. We used our Coast to Coast membership to get the noted rate. The park has alot of snowbirds and folks who live in the park year round. They are, in our view, the most friendly group of folks we've met in a long time! The office staff is very friendly. The park has a nice dog run in the back area. Were it not for our discounted rate, we'd probably travel through Yuma and not even stop. If you can travel through the area and stay elsewhere, it's probably a better bet. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a typical Arizona geezer park, although the sites are larger than most, including those of the sister park (Desert Paradise) next door. The $19.20 rate we paid was Passport America, which is not offered Jan-Mar. The regular rate is $33 plus tax per night. The WiFi was fee-based, so we didn't use it. They have a nice book exchange. The laundry is weird. You have to buy a $2 smart card, then load it in increments of at least $5 (more if using a credit card). Any leftover credit on the card is your tough luck. They have a nice pool, spa, billiard room, etc. Nice folks both at the desk and staying in the park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were scheduled to stay at this park for 2 nights with a Passport America discount and had paid a one night's deposit. However, due to mechanical problems with our truck which had to be towed, I called to cancel the same day we were due to arrive. After the friendly staff member checked with a supervisor, she returned our call to advise that our deposit fee would be refunded when verified with a copy of the tow slip. When arriving at the park to provide the requested information we found that it was clean and well maintained. This is a 55+ park and had several park models but also many motorhomes and trailers. We would definitely consider this park when in the area again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for 3 months while on assignment. My husband loved all the adult activities like pool tournaments, darts, etc. But they have nothing for kids other than the swimming pool which is heated and very nice in Jan & Feb. I was rather upset though when the manager asked my husband if our 2 yr old was "house broke" before we could get in the pool. Had to explain to him about swimmers diapers. This is the only reason I gave the campground a 9. The showers and bathrooms were good but beware of the hot water in the bath house by the dart hall as it fluctuates when people are washing clothes in the laundry mat. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We were located in the overnight parking area - no trees, etc., but all services worked well. However, we had to buy temporary Internet access service - might have been $14 for a week from Jabba Communications. The park is located outside the west edge of Yuma proper but there are several stores available locally there. The border crossing to Algodones Mexico is well east of Yuma a few miles inside the California border. Despite being situated in an open gravel area, all park services were close by and available to us as overnights. Very good staff assistance. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate reflects monthly fee reverted to 2-weeks fee. Made our reservations by phone with down payment for what was to be a 2-month stay. Balance of first month fee was paid at first of previous month (Nov for Dec). Office was not open on Sunday the day we arrived and was escorted to site by supplemental staff. On Monday we reported to office to learn for the first time that they required a photocopy of each driver’s license as well as copies of ownership papers for the truck and 5th-wheel and the insurance card. As our Provincial issuer of the driver’s license specifically stated that it was unlawful to allow anyone to copy the license we refused. We were told that everyone staying in the resort more than 30 days had to do the same and that all these copies were held in a 3-ring binder in an unlocked cupboard. These were then apparently shredded on leaving. Since our driver’s license also had our signature, vital statistics, and photo we saw this as a great risk for identity theft should someone break into the office and take all this data. When asked why they needed all this we were told it was to help police in the event we got in an accident and both burned beyond recognition, they could then refer to the photocopies and contact relatives (which in fact do not contain relative or contact info). The police should be able to use the license plate number on the 5th-wheel. We offered to show them the info which they could make note of. The Office Manager was very obnoxious and rude when we stated this requirement was not stated when the reservation was made. If it had, we would not have made the reservation. We stayed 2-weeks to eat up our non-refundable monthly fee. We checked at several other resorts, and they do not have these requirements. In almost 3 years of full-timing across USA and Canada we have never encountered this; the only thing we have had to provide on occasion is our license plate number for one or both units. As for the resort, there are good and plentiful amenities. Some sites have permanent park models and others full-time trailers. A few had a lot of tattered furniture outside. While we rate the Resort a 4 it is only because of the friendly residents (8) who raise it from a 1. We would not stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The rate reflects the monthly rate plus 16 cents per kw hour for electricity. There was also a $12.50 service fee on the electric. Wi-Fi was available at an extra charge. Free cable TV was available, but we didn't use it so can't say if it worked. We were told we had to pay for a deluxe site due to our size, but the site was barely deep enough for us. It was a FHU site, but only had 30 amp electric. It was a little wider than an average site, but by no means a large site. This was a large resort with over 500 sites including park models and RVs. Some of them were quite old. The park was pretty well maintained. It was corporate owned and the majority of tenants were Canadian. Amenities included 2 pools, 2 hot tubs, shuffleboard, horseshoes, volleyball, putting green, billiard room, mailboxes, a small exercise area and a clubhouse. There was a full calendar of activities to participate in. Most all were at an extra cost from 25 cents to play shuffleboard to $5 for some meals. Overall, people were friendly. We enjoyed our stay, but think it was a bit overpriced compared to some other parks in the area. We probably wouldn't stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We have stayed here three times in the last 12 months. Location is great for us, close to shopping and restaurants. office has been helpful and friendly. We will be back next year. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Clean park but not very friendly. Wi-Fi was extra and was lousy. They parked us with the park models instead of the RV section and the neighbors complained about our dog. We stayed one month but only because we booked ahead of time but did not like it. We would not go back to this park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We made reservations several months prior to coming to Arizona and had to pay the full month's fee in advance. We were to arrive Jan 23. On Jan 9 my brother passed away and we had to call to cancel. The park would not refund any of our money nor give us a credit for another time, even considering the circumstances. WE DID NOT STAY. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Strange place. We stayed here twice for one month the last two years. Now we stay in a real RV resort when in Yuma. Cocopah is Indian land on the border of Mexico. At night you can see the Border Patrol going through the place or flying overhead with their spot lights aimed at the ground. It is also an older park that has filled up with park models and the hookups are in the wrong place for RV's. If you are not planning to buy a park model through the Tribe you will not feel at home and be treated as an outsider. They will take your money and call themselves an RV Resort though. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

UPSIDE: Very nice winter park. Right where CA, AZ, and Mexico come together. Lots of ag land and plenty of water so it's green. Great winter weather-70s & 80s. Very wide spaces with concrete patios. Parking good. Best dog park I've ever seen..3 acres of grass. Lots of activities. A beer/wine cantina which serves pizza and burgers on different nights during the season. Huge pool and large hot tub. Propane services and RV wash guys come through park weekly. Major snowbird park with an 18 hole Golf course that winds through the park. Well maintained and very clean. Yuma, city of 90k is about six miles away with lots of shopping available, and several large casinos very close. 2.5 hrs from San Diego and 3.5 from Phoenix. Small town of Algadones, MX is 10 minutes for good Rx and DDS( and tequila) and it's safe if you stay in the main shopping or medical areas. Big secure parking lot on the US side and you walk in through the border gate. Yuma has fair size airport and US Marine training base. Lots of stuff to do in Yuma if you look for it. Lots of OHV trails and dunes close by. Shooting and fishing in Colo river which runs right through the park. Couple of lakes about 20 miles away. We stayed the winter here. If you pay for an annual spot, it's much cheaper per month, but you have to stay here at least 4 mos to break even. The advantage is you can come and go at your leisure throughout the year, and you can do to your site whatever you want, i.e. larger patio w/brick, storage shed, etc. We're coming back next winter for sure. Rig can be no older than ten years. DOWNSIDE: Very hot and humid in Jul/Aug. Can get very windy at times (but not for days on end). Sewer hookups can be 20 feet away depending on your site and rig. Monthly is pricey, but hey, you get what you pay for. Golf carts have right of way everywhere. Streets are a bit narrow but I had no trouble backing in 40' rig (they help you). The park is split into pet and non-pet areas. Fills up fast. Make reservations way early for winter, particularly for pet area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is very nice, but resources allocated to maintenance appears to be held to a minimum. The design of the campground utilities is antiquated at best, and there appears to be no attempt to upgrade to acceptable and standard minimums. Any problems beyond the very simple cannot be handled after hours, which creates a significant problem for anyone attached to common utilities. The park manager appears to be sympathetic to complaints, but in reality is simply practicing CYA and attempting to be appeasing. Actual performance is lagging the need terribly. So, don't expect performance. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here in a 45 foot big rig. Very friendly and clean. We will be back!! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Too pricy for us, and we don't golf; however you can be younger than 55 to stay here. We stayed a week. Very, very nice facility, just not in our budget. We're in our 40's traveling with our adult son. Would stay again in 20 years or so, and without our son. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This was just an OK park for us. Yuma didn't impress us and the drive to get to the park is not pretty. If you golf it would work for you. We were put in the golf course area which has narrow streets and is a bit difficult to back into due to that. The sewer hookup was way behind the trailer and on the wrong side. Be sure and have a long extension or they can sell you one at the office. The cable was OK but we used our Verizon card for Wi-Fi. We were happy to leave. I don't think we would return. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Don't be fooled: This is a con job managed park: Old park model park with hookups far to rear of RV center line utilities. General Manager without a refund policy will sell you a longer sewer hose and electric line at a huge mark-up over normal retail. The gate manager gave us a "heads-up" so we complained and got our money refunded and sent notice to the AZ Atty. Generals Consumer Fraud Division. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We made a reservation to stay here for a week. The first negative was when I was told that I had to pay in advance and there was an absolute no-refund policy. We got to the CG and were given name badges that we were told are required to be worn. Then we got to the site. They are all blind-side back-in sites. We have a really long sewer hose but not long enough to reach a sewer connection that is 15 feet behind the rig. Of course, they sell long sewer hoses for an outrageous price. When we asked if there was a site where our sewer hose would work we were told that there were sites but we couldn’t have one because we were restricted to the pet section. We have two cats that never leave the rig. Except for the no refund policy, we would have left right then. Given the high price and everything else, we would not stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice golf course, some activities, good hot tub and pool. Indian owned so little given up by owners. Christmas meal we supplied our own meat. Nothing free like socials etc. Lots of park models but the sites are real nice and wide with concrete slab to picnic on. Streets are all "one way" which is a pain to get to site without having to drive around. People were nice with some exceptions. Not a bad park with lots of farmland and dust around. Yuma offers little. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a GREAT park! 1st class all the way. There is a security guard at the entrance and a LONG drive way that leads you to the registration office. There are large pull up areas where you can unhook your toad or park while you are registering. An "escort" leads you to your site and helps you park. Very nice. The sites are gravel back-ins with the usual amount of space for an RV park and a concrete pad. There are no picnic tables provided at your site so make sure you have an outdoor table with you if you want to eat or do anything outside. The hook ups are really nice, the concrete recessed sewer hookup is really nice, no problems draining, water hook ups are clean and easy to get to, cable TV is great with lots of channels. My only complaint with the hookups is that the water is REALLY far back. My water hose was stretched pretty far out and my little hose I use to flush my tanks wouldn't reach. Not a big deal, though. Sewer was nice, close and the power was just fine. This place is all about the amenities. If you are a golfer this is the place to be. The pool and hot tub is great! The workout room is the nicest we've seen in an RV park. The "cantina" seems nice and we heard lots of great things about it. We didn't go though. This park is very pet friendly! There is a huge, non-fenced (2-acre they say), dog run that you can let your dog go. The signs say that dogs must be on leashes, but after talking to several full time residents, it's not enforced and were only put up due to an "incident" a few years back. Our "escort" was a little rough around the edges but everyone else was super nice: the residents, the staff, hosts, everyone. I gave this place an 9 because there was no picnic table. For some reason that really bothered us and I'm not sure why. So, 9 it is. This is a fantastic park, especially for dogs, golf, and the pool. The price I payed reflects the additional charge for the 2 extra people we had with us. The park charges $2/person/night over 2 people. We had 4 total people so we had to pay $4/night additional. I didn't take points off for this because they don't charge for dogs and the facilities are 1st class. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We thoroughly enjoyed our one month stay at Cocopah and we'd definitely return. We have a dog, so we stayed in the designated pet section, which was wonderful. They also offer a 2.5 acre grassed dog park for your pooch to play and run. There are also many areas just outside the resort to run/walk your dog. Another review mentioned the golf balls being a problem and although we didn't witness this, we would agree there could be problems. However, don't let this deter you from staying. When you make your reservation, just request a site as far away from the greens as possible. There are many other sites that are not close to the course. There are several organized activities (their calendar was packed!), they even have a woodworking shop! The pool is also great. We found the staff to be very helpful and accommodating. Upon checking in, the staff told us their internet works best when you are in one of the many "hot spots". We still had troubles connecting, but asked the front desk staff for help, and they quickly got us connected. The rate quoted in this review is their monthly rate of $560, we also paid electric on top of this rate which was $85 (one month for a 40' motor coach). One caution, we'd advise you arrive during daylight hours as the road in becomes gravel and has many turns: just watch for the signs. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a nice looking park offering beautiful views of the nearby mountains and golf course. The downside, however, of sites with golf course views is that golf balls can and do hit RVs and vehicles! We were in site #193 which we thought was close enough to the green to avoid being hit but just to be safe we did request a screen provided by the RV Park at no charge be set up in front of us. We unfortunately didn't foresee, nor were we warned, that golf balls from the fairway behind us frequently hit RVs and vehicles in our area. We were therefore very upset when a golf ball driven off the 6th tee behind us came through our roof A/C cover. The golfer admitted it was his ball but refused to accept responsibility for the damage he did and neither the RV Park Manager or Golf Shop Manager were willing to provide any assistance in getting the golfer to pay for the damage despite a notice advising golfers that they are responsible for such damage. The only thing the RV Park Manager offered was to put up a screen behind our RV which we could pay for at the rate of $20 per month. As the screens they provide would not have been high enough to prevent repeat damage and we were leaving in a week's time we did not request an additional screen. If you don't want golf balls hitting your RV the only option you have is to stay in one of the sites in the Pet Section at the entrance to the RV Park which are not attractive nor do they offer any nice outlooks. If you don't golf, there isn't much to do at this park. There is only 1 tennis court and no organized fun golf/putting or other sports related events. The access road into the RV park is in a terrible state of repair. The pool is large and surrounded by nice green grass where the lounge chairs are set up. The temperature of the pool is too warm if you are looking for a refreshing dip. Even when the daytime temperatures were in the mid to upper 70's F the pool thermometer was always in the upper 80's F and even reached 90F. Given the high risk for damage from golf balls we will not stay at this RV park again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed at this park for a week and were very pleased. From the security guard to the registration person to the escorts to the park workers - everyone was very friendly and helpful. When one of our slides was stuck out (broken bolt), park employees came to help us push it in. This park has the best pool area that I have ever seen. Grass, chaise lounges, covered areas. They have plenty of activities. A great library. Our Verizon cell and air card reception was great. Sites were good sized and plenty of space for our 3 slides. Escorts are great at helping you back in and line up with the cement patio pad. If you have a dog, you will love the dog area - over 2 acres in size. One of the things I like about this park is that it is close to all services, but is off the beaten path, and there is no traffic noise that we noticed at other RV parks. I will definitely be back to this resort next winter, and probably stay for at least a month. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We found this campground in the Woodalls Directory, which gave it a 5 W rating. This is not the rating I give this park. They are maybe a 3 W rating. The sites are gravel and small. The sewer hook ups ran under our rig and up hill. Try draining your sewer in an up hill direction. Not an easy task. The roads were very narrow, causing a nightmare when we had to back in with very little swing distance. The Wi-Fi did not work. We would never stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a large beautiful RV resort with lots of amenities and planned activities for winter snow birds. There is a golf course on site. The park is a little difficult to find but well worth calling for directions. The sites are spacious and the restrooms and showers are immaculate. We enjoyed a prime rib dinner for $12.95 that was excellent. We would definitely return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were supposed to stay here but when we pulled in on Saturday we found the office closed. Had a security guy take us to our site. Even though they advertise Wi-Fi, they don't have it. Supposed to get it in several months. Had to go to the pro shop to find someone to help me. Would never stay here if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This place is far to big and its filled with single wide mobile homes. I was greatly disappointed with the site and I was expecting much more. The sites are nothing more than pea gravel with a tiny concrete patio slab and poorly maintained hook-ups. The sites are jammed packed together and mixed with residence. The back of our motor home was two feet from a mobile home. I felt like I was staying overnight on a city lot. Somewhere on the grounds and or the adjacent farm field someone was burning trash and making lots of dust. I've got five different sewer connection fittings and none would work in dump station, which is below ground level. The loops are to long and very narrow. I had to drive over golf course greens to make the turns to avoid smacking the mobile homes. The entrance road is very rough and will give any good motor home a terrific shaking. Well, they do have a very big pool, which was cool on a hot summer day. They do provide access to the Colorado River and they have great facilities. I will not even think about returning here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

They don't open on weekends, but we took a chance anyway, and the security guard checked us in at our site. There is NO shade in this campground but they are spacious enough for the rig and tow vehicle, decent level. Our aircard worked perfectly and so did our cell phones. The town of Yuma is about a 10 minute ride from cg. We highly recommend Chretin's Mexican Restaurant. Maneuvering on the way out was a bit tight with a big rig. They recycle. If our travels brought us back to Yuma, we would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Our stay at Cocopah RV Resort was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and I would highly recommend this park. The sites were very generous, with a large cement pad, plenty of room to park our vehicle in the site, and the hookups were convenient. A section of the resort accommodates guests who have animals (we had one dog), and there is a large grassy exercise area. The resort is surrounded by produce fields, nicely landscaped, has a security gate, and the golf course appeared to be in excellent condition. The only complaint we might make was the occasional noise of Border Patrol helicopters at night although this would not deter us from staying again. We forgot a small item in our site and the staff was nice enough to return it to us. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate based on monthly rate for January. Very clean, friendly snowbird park. Lots of activities, large pool, golf (of course), tennis. Large dog area for those with animals,even a dog wash. Has a cantina that is well visited and fun. Inside the park there are over 6 miles of roads to walk/ride. Hookups are well to the rear of the coach, so be sure you have extra sewer hose. On the NW of Yuma along the Colorado River, so gets its share of wind. Yuma has about everything you could want, including easy access to Algodones, MX for shopping. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Don't plan on staying in this park if you have more than 2 dogs. The review from the guy having the 2 golden retrievers prompted our desire to stay here. But when we checked in and were asked how many dogs - I said 3 dogs - 2 of which are teacup poodles and all 3 weigh less than 20 pounds total. Doesn't matter - I was shown the door. However when told the price was $43 - I said forget it. Very unpleasant experience in my opinion and too pricey for my blood. "DID NOT STAY AT THIS PARK". We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have spent the last 5 winters here. I feel that it is the best snowbird resort in Yuma. It is clean, quiet, and the amenities and activities are second to none. The golfing is great. We park right on the 5th fairway. All the sites are very large. There is no sales tax on ANYTHING purchased in the resort. The price quoted is based on a long term stay. Overall, a snowbird resort just can't get any better. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very clean and well maintained park. We stayed for 4 months over the winter. Lots of activities. Great health club and tennis courts. Pool area was very nice. Nice golf course. They list WiFi but do not have it anymore. We signed up with Time Warner Roadrunner service. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We love this place so we spend the winter here and pay the annual rate of $2400. In January and February the park is usually full, so advance reservations are a must. We enjoy a site on the 18 hole golf course watching all the players go by. We have a screen in front of the motorhome to protect us from errant golf balls. There are lots of organized golf games for every skill level. In addition they have a wide variety of other activities from cards to crafts to water aerobics for the non-golfer. There is a special area for people with pets with a grassy 2 acre dog park. People here are very friendly. It is a very upbeat happy place to spend the winter. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I'm surprised this park hasn't been reviewed before - it is a wonderful park if you like golf and other activities. It is one the very west side of Yuma, a little off of the beaten path. But it is worth the drive. Nice golf course - a full 18 holes. Large backin sites, but make sure you have extra hose lengths, all of the utilities are in the back. Minimum 20' but more like 30' sewer hose is needed. Sites are very wide with a concrete patio. You can wash your rig and car at the site. Most are snowbirds and rates are much better if you do a minimum of 30 days. We camped here in a Motorhome.

One of the primary amenities we look for is a park friendly for our two golden retrievers. Cocopah has a huge area for pet exercise where lots of dogs mingle and play together. It has been excellent for our dogs. The golf course and the surrounding farmland have kept the grounds free of dust and sand. Very nice pool, hot tub, and exercise area. Great for golfers. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

First, if you love KOA's don't stay here. KOA advertises this in their directory as a KOA, but it's only an "affiliation" to KOA and not what we, as KOA loyal campers expect. It's a private members RV park. It is a decent park though if you are in a pinch. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We are here for a week or so under RPI, yet is it’s also a KOA campground (for $50/night). All sites are full-service, all rather open with a few trees in some areas. There is a central activity center, a billiard room, small book exchange, free Wi-Fi, and laundry. Behind the Activity Center is the pool and hot tub. There are also horseshoe pits, shuffleboard courts, and mini golf. Here’s the low-down: it’s a decent location to explore Yuma and the surrounding area (we like that it’s a bit north of town – less noise), but it’s not a great park –the bathrooms and buildings need a renovation, the “campground” is basically a gravel parking lot, and although pretty, the surrounding area is agriculture, which means crop-dusting planes flying overhead and farm machinery working at all hours. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

First off, this is now also associated with KOA, even though there are no signs which indicate it, they are listed on the KOA web site now. The hosts indicated the signs are ready to be put up. We did not know it was CRA or C2C, not that we would avoid, but we look for KOA's because always something for the kids to do. We checked in, only about 10 people in campground, almost deserted for summer. We were put in the pull through area, per our request since we did not need to unhook. Full hookups, but only 30amp as stated. Not much open besides the pool, spa was down for repair. Pool was nice. Kids did love the fishing pond. Tons of fish, great action, even some nice sized bass. Hear the coyotes at night. Not much shade, (none in our area), not much grass (none in our area). People were nice to us. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We are CRA Members, so we did not have to pay a nightly fee. Sites are spacious and only Back- in spaces were available. Staff was marginal, and not very helpful. We stayed for seven nights, and on the last night I was informed I had an illegal sewer hook-up. With only twenty rigs in the park I guess the staff was over worked to let me know earlier that I had a problem. On the Saturday of the week there was a large number of people using the facilities and pool area for a Birthday Party. We asked the manager if they were members, and no answer could be given. The bathrooms are very small and during season it appears there are only 6 showers each for women and men for the whole park. Took a day trip to El Golfo Mexico to visit another member Park. Don't waste time and money to go. Dirty, not maintained and no staff even met us. Pool was full of sand and looked as if it had not been cleaned for months. Terrible conditions. We are members of Colorado River Adventures so we paid no nightly fee to stay here. This was our first visit and given the previous reviews we were a little nervous about spending 2 weeks here. We found the staff friendly & efficient. Our only contact was on checking in and they had all our paperwork ready - they do lead you to your site but left us alone once they had dropped us off. Well the roads and sites are gravel we did not find it overly dusty. This is the desert after all and we came to this area expecting this type of accommodation. All sites offer only 30 amp which we were surprised about. We had no problems with the water or pressure as we are in the habit of running everything through our fresh water holding tank - this is a trick we have learned over the years - fill the fresh water tank and use it that way you can control the pressure! Our site was large and level with a couple of trees! We enjoyed the pool and laundry room as well as the daily breakfasts & dinners ( at a very reasonable rate ) The park is a bit off the beaten track - about 6 miles north of town which affords it some peace & quiet. We visited friends who were staying closer to town and found the same type of camping conditions but much more road & plane noise ( there is a Marine Air Base in town!) We would recommend this park to anyone who has a Coast to Coast or RPI membership and we will definitely be staying here again We camped here in a Motorhome.

Camped there using Coast to Coast. Absolutely the rudest staff I have run across in my travels. In my opinion, they have elevated rudeness to an art form. Some areas of the campground are just okay. The Coast to Coast part is a gravel area with no shade. This one is crossed out of my places to stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I sure wished that campground owners practiced "Truth in Advertising". This campground is touted by the owners as a 5 star resort. I wouldn't rate it higher then 2 star's. They do not allow auto transformers, no electric heaters, all electric is 30 amp, they have poor water pressure and low voltage problems are present in some areas of the park. It's a hodge podge of three previous campgrounds that were blended into one. One section still has a security fence with bob wire around it. This is a membership park and while they welcome visitors with a great rate (you must attend a sales presentation), it isn't worth the headache. We were scheduled there for 3 days and loaded up after one night and got out of dodge. It's a filthy dust bowl with gravel roads and gravel sites. I can only say that the resort, advertised as a 5 star resort is a dilapidated campground that needs a boat load of work and money to bring it even close to 4 stars. We came, we saw and we left in a hurry. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a memebership RV park, RPI & C2C. They have cut down all Palm Trees over 12' (cost to much in maintance), low water pressure, do not allow Autoformers, very dusty, lots of speeders, lack of rule enforement. Biggest rules breakers are the staff. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is an extremely noisy site because of the main road that runs beside it. Buy earplugs! Wi-fi comes and goes; however, you can purchase a DSL for $30/month. The small pool had algae growing and steps were eventually taken to remedy it. We didn't use many of the amenities other than the large pool & hot tubs as it seemed to have been looked after better. Other RVers were very friendly, but attitude in the park is take it or leave it. The owners don't appear to care whether or not they upgrade as the people will come regardless. They advertise security cameras but haven't found them yet. Neighbors bikes were stolen & they just smiled in the office when asked to review security tapes. Sites are large with concrete patios and pet friendly. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is just okay, we did not use any of the amenities. It is expensive for what you get for one night's stopover. Most importantly, it is noisy. At about 4 o'clock in the morning the produce trucks started running, as did the trash trucks, and it did not let up. We will not stay here again unless there is no alternative. We don't see much appeal to Yuma at all and would rather stay in El Centro or Gila Bend. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We had hoped to stay at the Escapees park just down the road, but all the spaces (even in the dry camp area) were taken. As it was late in the day and we didn't want to spend a lot of time running all over town looking for another place, we called this park to see if they had space and they did so we decided to come here. This is an upscale RV "resort" and so the amenities are quite nice if you want that sort of thing. Two things make this park unappealing to us. First, it is right on a busy road and so is quite noisy and secondly, there is very little to no privacy between sites which, although they are large, have no landscaping separating one from another. the price I quote is for one night with a Good Sam discount plus tax. Wi-Fi was good. I would give this park a higher rating if it weren't so noisy. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for a month and enjoyed it. Right from the outset when a staff member helped me execute a perfect landing into my back-in site, everybody was friendly and helpful. The noise from the nearby airbase was the only negative. Was there ever a lot of Canadians here, although we are not sure why. In fact, we are not sure why anyone goes to Yuma. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice upscale park. Lots of amenities, such as, tennis court, shuffleboard, pickleball, swimming pools, hot tubs, horseshoes, basketball, and lots of planned indoor activities as well. Situated between groves of lemon trees and orange trees, park staff for the most part are very friendly. Downside would be try not to be parked next to the main road. Constant traffic all hours, marine corp air station right next door, so jets and helicopters are buzzing right overhead all day long. When temps get below 40 degrees the neighboring lemon and orange groves turn on huge fans so at night it also sounds like helicopters hovering overhead all night. If it were not for the constant noise, I would have rated this park higher. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is the second time we have stayed here. This time we were next to the road and the traffic noise early in the morning (starting at 5:00AM) and evening from 4:00 - 6:00 pm at times was unbearable. For this reason I'll only give them a 6. Without the noise it would be a 9 or 10. Some other comments: Rate is pro-rated from $460/month. WiFi is now resort-wide at no cost. Service was very good. Pull-through sites are only available on weekly and daily rentals. Electrical is costly at $0.18 per KWH. For the 32 days we were here, we paid $80.00. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice park. Easy to get in and out to main road. Sites are spacious. Recreation complex is very good. Plenty to do here. I would have rated it higher if there was WiFi at our site instead of the computer room. The nightly rate I posted reflects a pro rated weekly price. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 2 months and made reservations for next year. Family owned. Wonderful staff and great people. wide spaces. Great run for our dog 1st trip to Yuma but was so impressed with the park its location and staff we will come back We camped here in a Motorhome.

One of the nicer parks that we found in Yuma. Nearly new facilities, sites are level. The water contains a lot of harsh minerals (caliche); drinking water should be purchased from a local purification dispenser (one located at the park) or from the grocery store. Washing the R.V. is permitted, though it's difficult because of heavy streaking. Large fans in the nearby lemon and orange groves make a lot of noise(when the temperature drop's below 40 degree's. Stayed for two month's, enjoyed the park very much. Would stay again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great park with great facilities & programs. The only complaint I have is the noise from the road nearby & occasionally from the lemon fields. The road has a lot of early morning (starts @ 5:00) noise from farm vehicles (trucks & busses). Also, on cold nights the wind fans at the lemon fields sound like a bunch of helicopters. If visiting this park, try to get a site away from the mail road. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a newer park that is 55 plus. It has a warm pool and hottub in a separate space from the lap pool and pther 2 hottubs. I loved the lap pool-temperature was so correct for swimmers. Activities were plenty. Clean, clean, clean everywhere. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very old park in a congested area. The park is about 3/4 full of permanent residents. Very crowded and hard to back into spots. We Stayed a week our price was quoted to us at $200/week with no email confirmation given per our request. When we arrived it was packed with our spot being the only spot left. The clerk charged us a total of $255 for a week even though we we quoted $200. This park has a two week cancellation policy which they didn't mention until we arrived. They pretty much do as they please. By the next day after the park was totally full per their computer and they started parking motorhomes next to the pool and throwing the electric plugs to hook up into the pool area. We would never stay in this area again and especially this park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a good park for convienence to shopping and is quiet most of the time. The Marine Air Station is nearby and occasionaly the jet noise is pretty loud. This was the off season, and very few residents were in the park. We camped here to be near Mexico for some dental work. It's an old park with very old park models and I'm sure they are full during the winter season with annual return residents. We met the owners and they were very pleasant. I'd stay here again under the same circumstances but probably not during the peak season. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a short pit stop stay for us. A little of a hike from the highway, but worth it not to listen to the freeway at night. The people at reception were all over themselves to be warm and welcoming. Showers were great. Pull through was not big enough for our coach and toad, but there was space near by for the car. We were impressed, and happy with our stay, and would return without hesitation. Kudos to Desert Holiday RV for their friendly attitude. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park has great, friendly staff and even the owners greeted us. Not a corporate owned park, that's for sure. We were invited to join in on activities, along with a dinner and dance. Best meal we've had on the road for a while. My wife loved the pool area (tropical setting) and lived in the jacuzzi, while I love to golf and played at one of the best courses just down the street: Desert Hills. We liked the idea of being in town and walking to shopping centers and restaurants. We are owners of 2 dogs, so dog walks out front and back of this park was a real plus. Helpful office as we needed a vet, along with names of dentists in Mexico. Spotless bathrooms!! Well maintained and managed. We had a lot of fun. We will definitely come back and spend more time here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

After a fiasco at Cocopah Golf and RV Resort (see my review) we came to this park. This park was great and the staff was very helpful. There are level, gravel sites. Yes: there are alot of full timers but that was not a problem. A very nice pool and spa area; park was clean and well organized. It's close to a shopping area. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Lot of long term residences. Cash or check only. Cable TV sites limited. Wi-Fi worked well. Only 2 pull through sites. Sites are fairly narrow. Trailer Life directory says no side by side hookups. There are plenty of them which made it awkward for my sewer connection. RV park is conveniently located within walking distance of a couple of shopping centers. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is close to Wal-Mart with lots of activities to keep you busy, but most folks come here year after year and do take ownership, but are very friendly folks. The only major reason I marked this park so low is they pack you in like sardines. Our mirrors on our motorhome are 3 inches from a tree and the ladies fence on the other side is touching our slide out (she had to pull it back for us to slide it out !!! It took over 20 minutes of maneuvering to get the motorhome in and we have only one slide. The outside lots aren't so bad. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Typical 'big box' corporate-owned RV park, lined up parking lot style. In January, I bought a travel trailer from a resident in the park, including space rent through October. Desert Paradise RV, and the adjacent Cactus Gardens, both Encore Properties, recently began requiring 'background checks', but just for long term residents (6 months), not transient or seasonal rentals, which doesn't seem right. Apparently, I was suppose to fill this out before I even bought the trailer (I was still in Oregon), and the owners were supposed to get prior approval and inspection before they could advertise or sell their own property. Even though the office is demanding I make a decision about how long I plan to stay and pay them $50 to complete this "credit check", I plan to speak to an atty first, before I hand over any personal and financial info without any liability for privacy or security. Not on a prepaid site! Good points: both the park and people are nice, clean, friendly, surrounded by nice dog walks. The pool and spa are heavenly, lots of events, fwy noise is distant, but military aircraft are obnoxious at times, and the trains! Ugh! Relentless in my opinion! Many Canadians and snowbirds leave by March, and it gets a little more peaceful. I'm content for now, but will seek a smaller, locally-owned property, where you're treated like a neighbor, not a number. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Rate quoted Passport America. Campground host escorts you to site. Sites have hookups at the back which required an extension cord for electrical. Our concrete pad had a palm tree in front of it which required more attention backing into campsite. WIFI is Tengo a fee for service ISP. Cable TV service has only about 20 channels. The trains could be heard throughout the day and night. Did not hear any freeway traffic. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Packed with friendly seasonals and retirees. We got the last two spaces at the edge of this neat clean "village". We enjoyed an inexpensive breakfast with the "natives" in the community hall. And, got a lot of friendly "You're a long way from home" comments when the morning walkers saw our New York plates. Great place, nice people, I’d go back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here a week so we could visit Algodones, MX for dental work. The park is nice. We were on the north side of the park against the fence. Area for our rig was a bit narrow with the slides. Each site has a tree which made it challenging to get into. But I'm not a good backer. The back of our rig faced the railroad tracks. THIS WAS BY OUR CHOICE. I'm a train nut and love to watch trains. This was a great spot for it. I could sit in the rig and watch trains. This is a 55+ park. Many folks were very friendly. They introduced themselves and chatted. If I were going to winter in Yuma, this might be the place for me. Lots of activities for all. The have a card room, exercise room, activities hall, pool, whirlpool, library and billiards room. They have DVDs, VHS tapes and books you can borrow. They have a computer setup for you to use for internet or games. They also have a modem line. The one down side is there is a high charge for WiFi and you can't get it all over the park. Lots of seasonals. But they made it fun. Close enough to Yuma to be convenient without being in town. But we enjoyed our stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The overnight spots are 30-amp, no cable TV, against the back wall. This is a 55+ park that is immaculate and friendly. The train noise was no worse than many RV parks and campgrounds we have stayed in. The staff and residents are extremely friendly and eager to be helpful. We would definitely stay here again, but only if we could get a 50-amp site if the weather was warmer. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a wonderful RV park and the only reason I can't give it a higher rating is due to the train noise. More on that later. A very clean and tidy park with friendly, helpful hosts on site to answer your every question. A lot of long-term folks here but plenty of sites for those wanting to stay a short time. It's pretty easy to get to and it's a good location for visiting Yuma and surrounding sights as well as close to the grocery store and restaurants. It's immmaculately groomed and obviously a park with lots of pride in ownership and a desire to make guests and residents feel welcome. We were parked in the back part of the park (so our satellite TV would work) and the noise from the trains coming all day and all during night was a little hard to take at times. The rumble of the train wasn't bad but they blew that whistle loud and long and the rumble form the train actually vibrated a coach at times. This noise would be the only reason that I probably wouldn't stay here again. Maybe staying in another section of the park would negate the noise? I don't know. If you can sleep through freight trains you'll love this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Beautiful park! Very well kept. Big spaces that were level. Pool and Rec. area was pretty and well maintained. Out of Yuma by about 6 miles. Only down is train noise. Tracks are about a quarter mile away, but I would stay there again because everything else is so good. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The summer is here so the park is almost empty. We stayed here with Passport America and the book says it cost $17.50. But the very nice man helping us said" the fees were $20.48". We showed him our 2010 book and he told us to check in with the office tomorrow but we will be gone too early. Very nice concrete pads and clubhouse. A large laundry and pool tables and shuffleboard. Everything is well maintained except the price. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Friendly staff upon check in. Sites a bit cramped but adequate. Close to freeway noise. Gravel sites with paved patio area. Utilities are at the back end of each site so come prepared. Semi-permanent residence friendly/helpful. We were here for a week and would stay here again on our way through. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed here for 1 week. We found that the staff were not exceptionally friendly or helpful. After check in and some observations at the office, it gave me the impression that if you wanted to stay here, fine. If not, they could care less. The lower swimming pool was closed due to water contamination; the upper pool was open, but is in need of maintenance and general up keep. There was limited pool side chairs, some of which were in need of repair or replacement. The over all park needs a good clean and paint touch up in some areas. I would not stay here again or recommend the park to friends or club members until improvements are made. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

I can't recommend this Park, the majority of sites seem to be park models. I have to admit that we did not have a reservation in Yuma and the majority of the Parks were full, or our RV was too large for the sites they had available. The only positive thing I can say about this Park, is if you need an over night site, they will probably have space. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We camped here with our RV Club and there was enough room here this time of year to accommodate our group. If you've not been here before it's very difficult to know where to go to check in. You have to park across the road from the office: when there are rigs parked there, it isn't noticeable. We were in the upper area, which is probably an addition to the original park. It is very close to the highway so very noisy! The sites are ample enough, but if you don't stay on the road or on the patio it's quite rocky and you must watch where you walk so you don't fall. This park is much too large for our liking. We would not camp here again! We camped here in a Motorhome.

The rates are $32 + tax/daily or $210 + tax/weekly. They do have monthly and yearly rates. Electric is included in daily and weekly rate. This is a beautiful RV park. Tons of activities to do. Heated pool and spa. Golf course on campground: $11/9 holes. Restaurant: we did not use but it has a super outdoor patio. Happy Hour on Friday with entertainment. Bible study and Sunday worship service on campground. Everyone was friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would absolutely come back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I have never been so glad to leave a park. It is huge, and it is evident that the owner is raking in the dough while doing the least possible. The office looks as if nothing has changed since it was built about 40 years ago. No computer system, just a bunch of tags on cup hooks. Won't take credit or debit cards. We were put into a space near a corner that backed up to the park entrance, the frontage road and I-8, and since it was an outside road, all the incoming and outgoing traffic drove past our site. It was noisy, noisy, noisy. With one exception, the dumpster closest to us (far enough away to need to drive the car) was always filled to overflowing with garbage bags. Everything I saw looked old and tired. Our site was of a reasonable width, gravel, with a narrow patio and every site has an ill-placed tree growing that makes it difficult to back in (only back in sites, no pull-throughs). I will never return to this park nor would I ever recommend it to anyone. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The previous review is spot on. This place is tired and needs a face lift. It does have a decent exercise room and very good CATV. However, the Wi-Fi which you have to pay extra for is a complete flop, it basically doesn't work during the day, only late at night or very early in the morning. Office staff were pleasant. North pool is very nice. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an adequate park and met our needs for a short stay. Be sure to bring your cash or checkbook as no cards (debit or credit) are accepted. We enjoyed the entertainment on a few occasions and ate at the restaurant. Both were adequate. I found the North pool splendid for lap swimming in the mornings and evenings. All the facilities are maintained but there is an air of tiredness about the whole place. Faded paint, broken lounge chairs, weeds everywhere, etc. Nothing that really impacted our stay but if I were going to stay longer in Yuma I would find a place that felt more cared for. This park is large & clean, but the customer relations should be rated very poorly. I had just started three loads of clothes in the washers. There was a power outage and we were told to remove the soaking wet soapy clothes from the wash room because they wanted to lock it until the power came back on. There was no electrical danger involved. We were told to get them out right away because the man wanted to leave. We were not allowed to get plastic bags to transport the soapy, wet clothes and had to put them wet in the car. It was quite a mess. We offered to leave them, even if it took several days and the offer was refused. We were refused a refund since "there are signs all over" that they are not responsible. The management seemed to go out of their way to be difficult. What a shame, it would have been quick and easy to handle this situation in a more acceptable manor. We won't be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for 2 months-Mid Nov. to mid Jan. We paid extra for cable, wireless internet and electric. People in the office were not very friendly. At Christmas our daughter sent us a gift certificate via JC Penny addressed to us, which never arrived in our mail. JC Penny traced it , and it was cashed by the park owner's wife and topped up by her credit card.The park owner paid the money ($75.) back to JC Penny and it was refunded to our daughter after he had been contacted. He said it must have gotten in with all the gift cards they received by mistake. We do not understand how this could have happened as our address was on the envelope. The jam sessions, happy hour and dances at the park were very good and we enjoyed those, but would caution guests to be wary of the mail service. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The first thing you need to be aware of that is they do not take Credit Cards or Debit Cards, cash or check only. We were in the newer section on the east side and it was quite noisy with the road running directly behind us. Park activities and entertainment is excellent. East laundromat is very large and can easily handle the traffic through this facility. On site golf course is so so but the price is right. Office staff are not all that friendly. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Huge park, all backups, wide streets and turns. Sites are gravel with the streets paved. Many park models, but several hundred sites for short term visitors. Nice mountain view. No refunds and charge for site change. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for an overnight stop. We were given a paved, pull through site along the east edge of the park. The sites were wide and easy to pull into. The view of the mountains to the east was spectacular. We would stop here again when passing through. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very large, impersonal. Attended New Year's Eve party, which was very nice. We were on a corner, which was very noisy. Pets are allowed in each row in the new part, for 4 spaces in on each row. Some activities offered. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a very nice place to spend time in the Winter. Super Wal-Mart is close, and lots of restaurants. If you like to ride quads this is an excellent place to ride out from as I have a Toy Hauler with a quad and a Yamaha Rhino. The sand riverbed is like a pathway to more areas to visit. If you are coming from California you will want to buy your diesel in Arizona and NOT in California because it was $0.40 less. The Internet was only available in the office. We were here for 10 days and had a great time. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The spaces are wide and had no problem getting into them. Sites are gravel with the streets paved. People are over 55 with programs geared for us. Dances, dinners, etc. Noise from the freeway is not that noticeable. Nice place to walk around and get exercise. Has a pool for those so inclined. Would stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a huge park (1,200 spaces)with several sections. We stayed in the newest section. The nightly rate of $25 was certainly extremely reasonable. The WiFi service was free and could be accessed from only some of the sites - however, you can go the club room at the office where the reception is excellent. The paved streets are good and the sites are wide and allow for parking of your towed vehicle or tow vehicle. We found there to be a limited number of restrooms. The restrooms are only cleaned once daily and sometimes toilets got stopped up and they seem to only be cleared during the once a day cleaning. We were at the park during high season and would have gladly paid an extra $1 or $2 per day to have the restrooms cleaned more than once a day. The restrooms were surface cleaned rather than deep cleaned. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Not a bad place. Some of the literature says it's 55+, however, at 37 & 38, we are nowhere close and had no problems getting a site. They say they have Wi-Fi, but there is currently only 1 antenna for the whole park. I was lucky enough to be given the WEP code by my neighbor so I could use his. The park's service claims a daily rate of an astounding $8.95/day! The freeway noise isn't too bad, but we have double pane windows. Anything else would be rather noisy. We came here from Quartzsite to get cleaned up (DUST!) and found a couple of mobile cleaning services that wash and wax for VERY reasonable prices. We got ours washed for $35 and hand-waxed for another $80 using quality wax. There's also a couple of mobile RV techs running around. Be warned about Yuma: it's a retirement town, so there is not a lot going on. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a huge park of the parking lot type we avoid when possible, but we were quite grateful to find a spot when we arrived late on a busy Feb afternoon and found our first two choices full. The place is very clean and well-organized. We did not notice any road noise although I-8 is nearby. We stayed there again in May and the place was deserted, but we still liked it because they parked us next to the pool. Big, clean restrooms and laundry. The Yuma Territorial Prison is worth a stop while in the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here one week to do our shopping and get ready to go into Mexico with a caravan of other RVs. It was perfect for this purpose as it was very convenient to shopping (mostly at the Super Wal-Mart and Sam's Club). The laundry facilities were very nice and fairly priced. We were also pleased with their "dog management". As we understand it, dogs have a designated area to be "walked" and can not be walked through the campground. The pool and hot tubs were clean and well heated. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for a visit with friends in their RV's. This park is mainly a Mobile Home and Park Model park, but they have 10 spaces allocated for RV's. Pull through spaces: each with their own trash can, but no picnic tables etc. It is a gravel parking located behind the pool, showers, spa's, and large laundry room. The staff guide you to your site and are very nice people in the office. Very helpful and eager to please even for us "transients." This is a 55+ park, but they weren't concerned about our ages for the temperary RV spaces, so assume they accept children also but not sure. The spaces are cramped, especially if you have slideouts and I could not put my awning out. A good temporary place but not a long destination park. I would come back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park could be a gem. Sadly it isn't. Office staff were a complete disgrace and rude attitudes prevailed every time into the office. The clerk that checked us in made two mistakes on the amount and after bringing it to their attention that I owed more than I was being charged, the lady started to be very rude with me. We went to the pool that evening and could not get in as there is a security gate. The next day, I went to the same clerk and asked why we couldn't access the pool. She replied, "All guests require a keyfob to access the pool. No one accesses the pool without a keyfob." As we were going into the pool, I asked that I return later with the $5 keyfob fee. She said, "No one goes in the pool without a keyfob first." Never did I get an apology or reason from the staff as to why the Nazi-Like rules. For $54 per day, save your money and go to somewhere for way less $$$, and a friendly staff. We will not return to this park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Great park. A little on the pricey side, but many, many amenities. It's out-of-the-way, but if you like to fish or boat, this is a great place to stay. Bring your pitching wedge and putter for the 9-hole course. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice enough park. Wide sites and quiet! Our 1st experience staying at an Escapees park. Friendly folks. Plenty of activities if you're into that. We dry-camped in close quarters for 4 days until a site became available. The park is on the south end of Yuma. Besides the casinos, almost every thing you want is within a 10 mile drive. We would come back in a flash. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

In the years since I last stayed here the management has changed and for the better. Everyone at the park was very friendly and helpful. One thing we like about this park is that it is quiet, unlike most in Yuma. The sites are large, the pool is nice and everything is very clean. Verizon and Bell ExpressVu worked very well. We will definitely return. This is an SKP member park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for a while and were mostly happy with our stay. The only problem was that smokers would walk around the park and you got their smoke fumes in your RV also. The pool was labeled with no smoking signs, but some of the smokers paid little attention to the signs and smoked in the pool area anyway. Board members seem to turn their heads to some of the problems that exist in this park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a great park for Escapee Club members only. It is 6 miles south of Yuma and you will have no traffic noise. Sites are gravel of course which is standard for Arizona. Water pressure and voltage is good. WiFi works OK at the sites, and great in the community building. Propane on site is very reasonable. Our rate reflects a weekly rate plus electricity. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We paid $5 for dry camping for one night before we were moved into a full hookup site. We got settled in just before a huge wind and rain storm hit the area. We were sure glad we had come in from dry camping in the Anza Borrego Desert before that terrible storm hit. We were able to have our mail sent right to the park and use their laundromat as well. Being Escapees has always been a great thing for us. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was the first time that we took advantage of our Escapees membership to stay at one of the co-op parks. The $5 fee was for dry camping. Our stay at this park was mostly positive. The park residents were very friendly, helpful and welcoming but the park manager was rather brusque and indifferent. We considered taking a site with hook-ups for a higher fee but the manager seemed unable or unwilling to give me an idea of what the charge for electricity might run. Surely she must have some idea of what the average charge runs at this time of year. All I wanted was a ball-park figure. Other than that our experience was positive. As Escapee members we had access to all the park facilities - pool, hot-tub, laundry room, recreation hall and library (very tidy and well organized). Wi-Fi was available in the recreation hall. We liked that the park was out of town, as we don't enjoy camping along busy streets or freeways. We would use this park again on our way through the area - can't beat the dry camping price. You do have to be an Escapees member to use this park, and no reservations are available, but if you call the park they can give you a good idea whether they will have room for you or not. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A nice park located about 7 miles from the interstate; a co-op where you rent a vacant owner's site. All back-in sites, poor water quality (a Yuma given), and no use of washer/dryer, but still a nice place and very quiet. Electricity is metered and charged to you on departure. Since we were leaving on the morning of Easter Sunday and the office would be closed, I volunteered to read the meter myself and leave a check at the drop box, but they refused, and instead read my meter at 4:00 PM the day before departure. When I went to the office to pay, I was told by a rather rude woman that my charge would be for the metered amount, and that amount would be divided by the three days we stayed, and then a full day's rate added. I pointed out that it was already 4:30 in the afternoon and that I would be leaving at 7:00 AM the next morning, but she insisted that we were moving into the "hottest part of the day, and the charge was valid." (This is Arizona, where there is no daylight savings time and it gets dark at 6 PM.) Rather than argue, I paid the charge which brought the cost per night to $22, no bargain for an Escapees member. Frankly, the Escapees experience has always been very positive to us until this park. We won't stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Not many reasons to stay here unless you are a serious Escapees person saving money. Rate is $15 plus electric. Long way from town, no cell phone reception, no wifi. Lady manager is hostile and unhelpful; husband was nicer. Lots of old people who live here most of the year and don't care about anyone else. Water is terrible but there is a R/O machine to fill jugs. Would not return nor recommend; many other choices in Yuma area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Wonderful place, sites were large and had pads. Well maintained and the landscaping on each lot was great. Very helpful and friendly people. Easy access to shopping and two large flea markets. Also close to Mexico and a very easy crossing area. Lot of winds and dust, but a real nice place to stay. Will return in the future. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate based on 10 day stay in one of 40 pull throughs. As previously noted, hook ups are a little strange, but sites are long and wide. Nice wide paved roads, clean park and well maintained. Cable is snowy. Office knows about problem but they have no plans to improve it. Showers have no change area and you are out of luck if you like early morning or evening showers. The restroom and showers are closed and locked up for 8-10 hours overnight. Laundry works on a card. ($5 non refundable) Tried cards from other parks but they did not work. If you buy a card its likely it won't work at other parks either. While a nice park, the rate seems a little steep for Yuma. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed 4 nights until just after Christmas. The facilities are modern and attractive. The showers seem inadequate though. There are 4 small ones, and the changing area is very crowded when there is at least one other person there. You have the option of paying for the Internet. We just used the Internet provided in the library which worked well (but you have to cart your computer up there). Overall we liked the park and would return but the very small shower facilities do concern me. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

Very large park. Arrived late after office had closed. Cable TV was marginal. Didn't have a code, so couldn't connect. Called office in the morning and they gave it to me right away. Water connection leaked at their back-flow preventer. Space was very large. Would stop here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We only stayed one night, but the gravel pull throughs were really long and wide. It is definitely a snow bird place, but they have sites for others. They have their own sewer treatment so when you are walking around the park and get close to that building you can smell it. That building is not close to the overnight area and we never smelled it until we walked by it. Restrooms and showers and laundry facilities were all clean and well stocked. We would stay here again if we were in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Rate is based on staying for a month, and this also necessitated being in a back-in site vs. a pull-through that are saved for shorter stays. We were backed up to a wall along the street, so made for some loud street noises at times, but the sites were very large and gravel with cement walk out areas. Lots of park models and seem to be over-running the park. But, well run, office staff is very nice and informative and efficient. Location is convenient to many places of interest whether it be shopping or sightseeing. Would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

First of all as we drove into the site our motor home dropped 6" to 8" in several areas of the pad. Not sure if this was an uncompacted trench or they were having problems with leakage within their sewer or water systems. I requested this to be repaired the following day (fill in with gravel as it was a trip hazard) and nothing was done. After several hours we noticed a very pungent smell as though we were sitting directly dead center of a sewage plant, and this smell was permeating our motor home. Again I contacted the management and was told they were working on their computer system of the plant, and this would go away. I am a civil engineering contractor and knew this lady was not being straight forward with me. Within minutes she and her maintenance man both showed up at our site, and she became irate about the situations at hand at which point we requested our money back, and we packed up and left. Please note that we had spoken with many residents of this park and everyone told us the same story, This smell, which is unbearable, has been getting worse over a four year period, and none of the seasonal residents would return. Since smell is not an environmental hazard according to the Yuma Environmental Services there's nothing they can do to solve this issue. However, I would advise anyone to stay away and not spend your hard earned dollars to smell raw sewage that will permeate your coach and belongings. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We've stayed here a few times- just for a couple of nights while headed elswhere. I agree with other posters- this is an odd park. The staff is great- friendly and helpful- but the spaces are a little weird. Seems like all the hook ups are in an odd place- If I can hook up to the sewer dump I can't reach the power pedestal and vice versa. There is a goofy looking brick pedestal in the middle of the site forcing you to park to one side meaning my slide and awning extend into the adjoining site, which is OK I guess because he was also forced to park to one side. Everyone was friendly though, the place is spotless and it looks like they have a lot of activities. All in all we'll probably be back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a nice park with long, wide pull throughs. Nice pool and spa. The only drawback to this park, is the fee-based Wi-Fi provided by 3D Communications. If you need reliable Wi-Fi, you may want to reconsider. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park might be fine for a winter destination park but as a stopover late in the season it is lacking. I arrived at 3PM and, though the sign said the office was open until 4PM, it apparently closed at 2. I had wanted Wifi--even at their $5/day fee--but couldn't get it, as the office was closed. A security person took my camping fee. Did not use any of the facilities but the park looked clean and tidy. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an odd park. The campground is very nice with large lots and it is very clean. The pool and club house are very nice and the activity host does a fair job at keeping activities going. We did not like the very long list of rules that the management oversees minute by minute. We would prefer a park that is more relaxed with minimum rules and lets their paying guests enjoy retirement. The location is good and is accessible to shopping. We left after one month and will never go back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Typical desert park - limited shade, lots of gravel. We were just passing through from San Diego to Tucson. It's a bit far out of town, but we enjoyed the pool. Limited staff on weekends in the Summer, but the residents and security were extremely helpful. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We have wintered in this park every year since 2005. The management and staff are very friendly and strive to make your stay a pleasant experience. The park has an activities director and many, many events are scheduled throughout the winter months. The park is an over 55 community. Monthly, seasonal and yearly rates are offered. Long pull through site, but not laid out very well. I could not level the coach in the first site and had to move. The utilities were poorly located. The pull-through sites were obviously not designed by an RV'er. However, the park was quiet and road noise was minimal. The roads were wide with plenty of room to maneuver a 41 foot coach and toad. The dog walk was clean and fenced. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Transient sites had cement walkways between sites with dusty, desert sand on the site. Using outdoor mat worked well. Paved interior roads. Nice fenced-in pet area. Site size not overly generous. Just off I-8, highway noise was noticeable and train noise noticeable all night with whistle blowing at the many crossroads. Close to shopping. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Seems to be a nice place. We booked for a week. Would have given it a higher rating but the pull-through site they assigned to us was across from the pet parking area and we heard too much barking. Also, we could not level on site #46. Seems to be in a hole compared to those around us. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very neat, clean and orderly park. Sites for daily or short term are large pull throughs, easy to get into, separate from seasonals. Sites are gravel without a patio. Nice pool and spa. Plenty of planned activities available. Overall a very pleasant place. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We arrived on a Sunday after 4 pm and found the office closed on Sundays. The pull-through sites are large but the location of dump station, water and electrical in relationship to each other was poorly laid out. We had to dump our tanks at our site before we could move it to a location to connect the electrical and water. No information on the WiFi was posted so I had to search for a manager so I could get online. The WiFi was expensive for one day. Nice park, very clean, reasonable price. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very nice campground. I especially liked it because it has a fenced doggie run although it is very busy. It has basic cable TV. Nice small lending library, lots of puzzles, games rooms, pool & spa. Close to grocery store. Minuses included the showers although very clean were not private, no picnic tables although this seems to be the norm in the west. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We like this park. It is a 55+ park and one of the newer ones in Yuma. There are a few park models. The roads are paved and wide making it easy to get around with a large rig. The sites are also large, level and easy to get in to. Sites are sand with concrete patios. There is a separate area for pet sites. There are 3 WiFi antennas located around the park to make WiFi available to all sites. The electricity has good voltage, important to us. They have activities and entertainment, but not as many as the more expensive parks. The park has new owners and the monthly rate this year is $350+ electricity (less than most others in Yuma). We stayed here in 2003 & 2004 also. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a well maintained and reasonably priced RV Park. We were somewhat misled when we called ahead and asked what the nightly rate was and did they have cable TV. We were told that they had cable TV, but were not informed that you had to contact the local cable company and arrange a monthly hookup in order to have cable TV. That is nice for those that want to stay a month, however, when we asked for the nightly rate and inquired about cable we should have been informed about the cable arrangements. We would not have gone there had we known all the facts. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Older park on Colorado river. Lots of "residents". Tight spaces and roads. Nice ambiance. Good birding park right next door. Great Taco stands in town. Pretty good birding in area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed overnight in one of the pull-throughs while passing through the area. Sites are very long but narrow, so in a big rig it takes some careful maneuvering to make a 90-degree turn into the site and get lined up straight. This is primarily a snowbird park so we didn't use any of the amenities, but it was fine for our needs. Friendly people in the office, very quiet at night. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Stayed here for 2 nights while passing through Yuma. Site was very long, but narrow. Amazes me that RV sites are more than local hotel rates that do your linen and serve you a hot breakfast. We stayed 2 months in this park and found it to be a very good experience. The people are friendly, and there are lots of activities. Everything is kept very clean. We have stayed at this park several times. Pleasant staff, well run. Pull-through sites for short-timers are in the front near the frontage road and I-8 but still pretty quiet. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Park is OK, just bare necessities, very small office, no supplies, very small pool. Mainly Park Models. If I had it to do again I would stay across freeway at Blue Sky, they have trees, this park has three or four. Does have good wifi, TV & cell signals. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very nice park. Lots of snowbirds staying all winter but no junky units, all were clean and neat. Lots of activities going on if you want. Spaces are not huge but adequate with small concrete pad. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We were on our way back from Quartzsite and at this time of the year most of the Yuma parks are full. This park had space available. The staff and the owners are wonderful people. Friendly and efficient. I would have given this park a 10 rating but the space we were assigned is an older site and the units are parked one facing west and the other east. The units are slightly offset as otherwise this would not work. One of my slide is actually on my neighbor's lot. There is no real patio. Just a wide sidewalk. We have to walk across the adjacent lot to get to our toad. Very very tight! BUT while we were here they had an appreciation dinner for the guests. A real feast with beer and margaritas. I would stay here again but not in this space. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here one night. Originally we were planning on 2 nights, but got a refund for the 2nd night. The office staff was very pleasant and helpful. This park was easy access from the interstate but was just too close to the road and we heard the cars and trucks on the interstate all night. Really did not like the area. We would not go back again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I will give this park a rating of 7 at best as it is geared more toward snow-birders and permanents than over nighties. There is a toilet/shower facility somewhere in the park for sure but not readily accessible. Wi-Fi provided by an outside source for $4.95 a day. Was easy to make reservation and woman in office very nice. Escorted to site and assisted with backing in. About 10 miles from Yuma. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park was a real treat. We waited far too long to make reservations when leaving Quartzsite and Yuma was full. These folks let us park in overflow parking (30 amp, water & cable TV, no sewer, but free dump). Everyone in the park is very very friendly. It is a family park, but you will feel better if you are older; most here are. The bathrooms & showers are very clean and you want to use them because they have softened water unlike the tap which is very hard. We will definitely stay here again. Price is with Good Sam discount. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I emailed the night before we came in and asked for 6 nights in a pull-through spot. When I checked my email in the morning, a spot was reserved for me. When we came in, the office staff was very helpful and was guided to our spot. Yes, we are in a pull through spot and can hear the interstate, but after a short while, you don't notice it. The site was level, clean and easy to get into. I have absolutely no complaints. Yes, I would stay here again while visiting the Yuma area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We came in and asked for 5 nights as were charged a rate, which we paid. Imagine our surprise to find a note on our door claiming we needed to pay more money! Seems the lady had only charged us for four nights. The staff was rude demanding to look at our receipt. Demanded that we pay for another night at the full rate. If you stay here, make sure you have the correct number of nights as they will back end you with additional charges. Their transient parking is in the front of the park along the I 8 freeway and you will not get any sleep all night long. Also they lock the bathrooms at 10 PM so be sure to have you chores done before then. We will never be back, and you should stay away! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Wi-Fi Internet was not free; sign in front of park should have said so. Lady-Manager was rude when giving me directions to my space, she shook her head after my second attempt to park my RV. I had just driven in to Yuma, after 3 hours of driving my RV in the hot desert with no AC, and was not in the mood for her attitude. The park is not pet friendly; they have signs everywhere no pets allowed. The pet area they do have is awful. No grass or shade trees. It could be a nice park, with new management, free Internet, and a decent pet area. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is right next to the freeway. You can hear the loud noises from the big rigs and sirens all night long. Would never stay here again. Wi-Fi was $ 5.00 for 1 night! Araby Acres RV Park is much nicer and quieter. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed on an overnight stop on the way home. We called before the office closed and reserved a site but would not arrive until after hours. Staff was very accommodating and had someone there to greet us upon arrival, and escort to the site. Overnight sights are gravel, but level and easy to get in and out of. There are many seasonal sites as well, and it seemed that the majority of the sites were occupied by snowbirds. Facilities are well maintained. Very close to I-8, easy to get to off the freeway. We stayed a week here. Very nice park, but the staff is not friendly to short timers. They cater to the long term RV'ers and residents. Park is right off of I-8, so there is considerable road noise, but it was bearable. We would stay there again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice friendly park and I agree with most other comments. My purpose here is to alert other wifi users that the advertised "free" wifi is extremely unreliable, to the point that I had to lug my laptop to the dial-up area in the rec room. This park should not be advertising free wifi on its signage. Management seemed to have no interest in resolving wifi problems and was irritated any time I brought it up (and I did so in a friendly manner). Although I was less than 100' from an antenna, I often had no signal while easily being able to pick up the "pay" signal from another park over 500' away. If wifi is an important issue, you might want to look elsewhere. We camped here in a Motorhome.

If you're looking for a high-end resort with all the "bells and whistles" you better keep looking. If you want a decent, reasonably priced RV park, close to the Interstate, close to shopping, all the basic requirements and some shaded sites, this is a good find. Shade trees are a rarity in this part of the country so it's nice to find a park that offers some protection from the brutal summer's sun. Okay, there's nothing fancy about this park but the people are friendly, the park is clean and an overall good value for a few nights or a week's long stay. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This park is hard to rate because we arrived at a time of the year that hot and unpleasant. Pluses are that the park is south of Yuma & in the country, there were places out of the park to walk our dogs, and no plane/train noise. The bad news is that there were billions & billions of flies. We had to buy two fly traps just to keep the flies away from our door. The traps filled up within two days they they each hold about 30K flies. The pool was not available and it would have been nice to use in the evenings. Chickens from a nearby farm roamed the park from sunrise to sunset. The camp host was friendly but most of the time, we didn't see another soul due to the high temperatures. We would be hard-pressed to return to this park. Rate was weekly rate. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed 4 nights. The price was for a Passport America Member. It's an old park. Staff was friendly. There were not many people there as it is past the winter season. The flies were horrible. Not sure where they were coming from, but you had to stay in the RV. We were gone most of the time, so it as fine for us. It beat paying $40.00 to stay along I-8. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Rate is Passport America. Facilities worked fine, mostly long term residents, but they are very friendly. Fairly quiet except for the roosters roaming the campground. Gravel/sand sites with a pad (not for parking on) and gravel roads. All back-ins, not too bad for access. Free Wi-Fi generally worked very well, but occasionally slowed down. 10 miles from Yuma. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We are well pleased with this park. Laundry room is clean and very adequate. Pool looks nice but didn't go in. They keep it covered at night. People are just great. Bit far out of the city of Yuma but quiet and very pleasant park. We have been here one week and are about to sign up for a second week. Rate reflects membership in Passport America. Thanks to this Park for their participation in the Passport America group of campgrounds. We are proud members of PA. We greatly appreciate them making camping affordable. Good park, great people. This is an older park full of snowbirds and some full time residents in older park models and RVs. Tenants and office staff are very friendly. Park is way off everything at the southern end of 3E. (7 miles south of MCAS.) They take PPA and for longer stays you can make a deal. WiFi, AT&T and Verizon work amazingly well. Pool is very small. Not an overnight RV park but ok for a longer stay in Yuma. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for a month. We choose it because it was close to the Escapees park. It is about 8 miles out of town, but that was fine with us. There was some traffic noise but quieter than here in Quartzsite. The office staff was great, the park was very nice, the people very friendly, great Wi-Fi which was free. The only reason I gave a 9 is because of poor cell reception and the water. They really can not do anything about the water but there was R/O in the kitchen. Cell phone reception is poor (lost a couple calls) due to the nearness to Mexico - Verizon and others do not want to put a cell tower any closer. I would recommend this park to people. We did not use the pool or spa mainly because of allergy to chlorine. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Long way from any services and convenience stores. Very noisy alongside a busy highway especially in the early morning. Restrooms clean and comfortable. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.

We saw the ad for this park in the Trailer Life book and it was marked as Best Rate. We called to say we were coming. This was Saturday Jan 19th. Arrived about 5-5:30PM. Paid a weekly rate as the space was reserved beginning Jan 25th and no other was available. We planned on staying in Yuma until mid-Feb. We said we would find something else in the meantime. Office closed 6 PM and is closed on Sundays. Got set up into the space and later in the evening as I was walking our dog, the electricity went out. While I was out I met some neighbors out walking with flashlights and they mentioned the electricity had gone out 4 times the night before. Came back into our motorhome and set up the laptop to use with our Verizon wireless. No connection. At the same time I discovered our cell phones did not have any connection. We cannot be without communication. A neighbor mentioned when they used their cell phone they got a Spanish operator and roaming charge. Obviously this park is very near the border. Went on to church the next morning and on the way back we found another place to stay. Got back and loaded up to move to another park and left a note in the suggestion box of what happened and requested a refund. The next day, Monday, went back out there again (9 miles off the main road and quite a distance from center of Yuma). Got there at 1:05 only to discover that lunch hour was 1-2PM and office was closed. Wrote out another note requesting they call us. The lady called to explain the boss, would be out of town until Friday and he would have to make the decision. We returned again on Saturday, the 26th, and was told the boss was busy and they would have to find him to get an answer. We left again. On our way back to Yuma, they called to say we would not get a refund as we had left on our own. Not sure what that means exactly but I reiterated the total situation again and he said he would have the boss call us directly. This is one week later and still nothing from them. I believe we have been very patient. We would not recommend this place to anyone to stay, unless you don't need communication and don't mind challenges with water and electricity. Spaces are nice size. Our cell phones did not get a signal until we got near MCAS which is quite a distance back toward town. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a funky little park, about 8 miles South of I-8 on Ave. 3 East in Yuma. You won’t find any gated community here. Just oleander surrounding the park. The sites are half crushed gravel and half sand, with a small concrete patio, in the middle of farm land. The water pressure is a little low and the landscaping is sparse. The good points of this park are it’s diverse mixture of residents. Skirted mobile homes, RV’s of all types and sizes, and only one model home. The rules here are simple; pick up after your animals, and 5 mph on the roads. Folks are expected to be responsible adults and they are, thus the lack of sheets of posted rules. There is a good sense of community here with pot lucks, pool nights, horseshoe events, etc. The local residents go out of their way to invite you to the events going on. (much more refreshing than some parks with entrenched cliques of people) There is pay for WiFi but that can be had for free in the clubhouse. The clubhouse is older than most, but is well maintained for the amount of use it gets. The restrooms are in good/fair shape and kept clean enough. The new owners that bought this park are trying to balance improvements to the park with the amount of money coming in. We hope they are successful as we like the atmosphere of this type of park much better than the mega parks we have stayed at in the past. We stayed here two weeks and would stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The roads are narrow and the park models are almost to the street which make it tight to get into a spot. The park is in some state of disrepair. The pool was dirty and the cable didn't work the whole time we were here for us or our neighbours. There is a cost for the wi-fi and it was very slow and unreliable. We gave a $25.00 deposit for the gate remote and were refunded $20.00. Should take them no time at all to pay for that remote. Bad attitude about it at the desk too. Of course the manager was not available. (they rarely are when there is a dispute) This is an $18.00 a night campground not a $39.00 a night resort. They had plenty of spots because most of the snowbirds are leaving by now. I do not recommend this park to anyone. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a very large first class park for 55+ people. Total spaces are 1230 but only 450 open for RV use. You have pool indoors and one outdoors. The park is like a small city. The RV parking is a little hard due to small roads. Small amount of road noise in front of park. Some noise from train. Water is very hard. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a VERY old park with dangerously low voltage (106 one morning). The sewer overflowed at a neighboring site. BUT the worst part is the narrow spaces for transients. With our slide out and the neighbor's slide out there was 27 inches between the two motorhomes. It is well located with respect to Yuma and has good activities. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We made reservations 3 months in advance for an Encore Park. Upon arrival: no 50 amp service unless we could fit our 10ft wide motorhome with slides in a 15ft wide space and park our car along side it?? We decided to walk for the exercise. Then as we walked back we got a front row seat as a Jet kicked in its afterburner, what felt like 50ft over our heads, unfortunately we heard the sound first, then got to see the jet. Guess what? Yuma International is just across the street: wow! Excitement all night long for the same price. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Certainly one of the best places we have stayed. Downside was no picnic table and lack of people in office or phone connection sometimes trying to call them. Spaces are very large, Wi-Fi is good (no charge) and very secure park - which is nice being right on the border area, etc. Only place we have even been - in over 150 private rv parks - that had full size lap pool -- and salt water besides! Water was right temps for both lap and rec pool and hot tubs. Lap pools and rec pools are not supposed to be hot tub temps! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Pros: Park is nicely kept and decorated, with cute casitas sprinkled around. The price was right (even without discounts). And the facilities look to be nice (including laundry room - esp. impressed by the dedicated washer/dryer for pet items!). And a nice dog park area. However, we probably would not choose to stay here again for the following reasons. At least in the short-term sites, the spaces are not well-designed. You back your rig up on gravel, in between a concrete patio pad and the hook-ups. Well, there's not enough room to maneuver and just barely enough room to have your slides out and not hit the electric hook-up pedestal!!!! It was a real pain to get situated! And overall, the place is more set-up for long-term, seasonal folks than those just passing through. There is also a slightly snooty feel to the place, which is not our style at all! We camped here in a Motorhome.

Wonderful park with large spaces & nice patios. Easy to back in. Good Wi-Fi. Ice machine in laundry room (.25 for a bag), but no store. Everything is clean and manicured. Two dog parks (one is supposed to be for small dogs, and the other large, but no one pays attention to that), and a dirt trail around the park. Beautiful pools and jacuzzis. Lots of activities. Staff and residents were all very friendly. Would've given it a 10, but very near the flight path of the airport (planes and helos were occasional, but loud). Price was for October special. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Pretty park, very doggy friendly and ever so clean. Large lots. Beautiful shuffleboard courts - 14 in number. Nice ballroom although half the time it isn't available because they open the hall to concerts. Free exercise classes - Zumba, Pilates and Yoga (when the ballroom isn't being used). Cold, cold pool. Activity center is not very helpful unless you own a house in the resort. We needed a tool and were told - no way. Activities are falsely advertised as in scuba, sailing and Spanish Classes. Cards such as euchre, bridge are sparse and the activity office won't organize anything. Developing a definite us versus them attitude with the home owners. There is a 3 year limit on repeat visits. If you don't buy, you can't come back. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is a delightful park with paved roads, gravel back-in sites with large concrete patios. There were no picnic tables but sites were good sized both length and width. Security was excellent and there were nice grassy dog areas. Many sites are owned with nice structures and landscapes as the park appears to be newer. We did not visit many amenities but would definitely stay again. There was some air traffic noise, but we were not bothered by it. We camped here in a Motorhome.

What can you add. We spent 2 weeks here. This is the best value in Yuma. $19.95 a night special. Most folks are here for the season. Very friendly. Definably a 6 star resort. Great Library, Computer room, Pool and hot tubs. The only draw back is the Wi-Fi is a bit slow at times. We will be back next year, close to Losalgodnes for your dental work. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We are booked from November 1 to March 30 of 2012. So far the RV'rs are very friendly. Management is more concerned about selling the sites rather than organizing activities, so you have to organize your own. Most of the activities are crammed in the morning, leaving the afternoon and evenings pretty bare. There is definitely a RV vs Owner atmosphere: not a lot of intermixing. Card room is small but equipped to the "nines." Craft room is booked everyday, so if you like to quilt, you are out of luck. Extremely doggie friendly. Two off leash grassed parks and a trail all around the park; you can take your dog anywhere except the pool and administration areas. You have to put up with the construction of homes nearby, which means cement trucks and pounding hammers starting at 8am. Beautiful gym/theatre/ballroom but they are picky on the usage. It's locked most of the time. They cater to owners who have a separate lounge (never used), the first admission to events, and special dinners. Free Wi-Fi but extremely unreliable. Cable TV is fine. Because of the RV'rs, we will book again next year. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Large gravel sites with concrete patio. Highest degree of security in a park we have ever experienced. Getting in for us was easy because we were escorted by the gate guard to a site and he had the authority to assign us a site. We had visitors a few days later who were held up a half hour because the gate guard couldn't find our names on their list. Access to everything is controlled by plastic passes which you are supposed to wear on a string around your neck when you are in the facility. Perhaps Yuma is a high crime area, or perhaps they are trying to impress their guests/owners how efficient they are at keeping out the riff-raft. We stayed for nine days and would stay here again based solely on the rates. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I don't know where they find their front desk people (there were three of them) but they represent the poor education afforded in the USA anymore. Firstly, it takes about 15 minutes to check in! We came as a group of 18 motor homes. Seems they had lost our reservation and our group was split up helter-skelter throughout the park. Once on the lot it is worth the terrible check in process, and I was escorted to my space. Lot is gravel with a concrete patio slab. Internet is not free. What is sad is that this could be a top notch RV park easily pulling in double what they currently are charging. Unfortunately - I will never return here. Also - do not depend on your GPS to find this place. I ended up 15 miles away, and when I called they said they are aware of the problem, but it is not their problem. Would be nice if they would warn customers of the possible GPS error on their website. When I called for directions - the employee did not even know which exit off of I-8 was the exit to their RV park and had to ask another employee. It is right off of I-8. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an excellent facility with the positive reviews summing up the park. We found good wi-fi, pool, games room, library, etc. and at a very good price that can't be beat. Check-in was mixed up, but we finally got sorted out and were led to our site with a promise that we could extend our stay for up to 10 more days if we wished because our site was not booked until later in the next month. We went to extend our stay and were then told our unit didn't qualify to stay (length not 25 feet). The requirement was not in the rules or anywhere on the web site, but an employee had solicited us for an RV wash, and we refused. At that point he "noticed" our unit was short. We were allowed to stay for the initial booked time "rather than embarrass us" but then would not honor the commitment for a few days extension. I suppose they have every right to refuse to extend, but it cost us several dollars as we had booked another RV park expecting to be able to extend and then had to make other reservations at higher cost. They advertise shower/restroom suites but leave only one "suite" available (very nice, but one!). The basic showers in the basic restroom facility are what are made available, with about 8 "shower suites" locked by key and not accessible through the electronic pass. To sum it up..the park is excellent and modern and great value at $20 night, if your rig is a Class A motorhome or large trailer, but the office is messed up with a bunch of inexperienced employees. Rules state "no soliciting by employees," but we were solicited within minutes of parking for an RV wash service by an employee. We were only casually approached regarding lot sales, but I do have to agree that is one of the main responsibilities of the office staff. Had they come back to us on day 2 or 3 and discussed our situation or mentioned it and agreed to the extension this park would rate a 10, but the errors, treatment, and arrogance of the manager when she discussed this with us were unforgivable. I was not embarrassed at all. We all make equipment choices. I believe they did themselves a disservice and embarrassed their park and people. We enjoyed our stay until the last day. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

A wonderful park with primary customers being winter residents. Even though we only stayed 4 nights this facility is superior to most. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Wow: what a place. Very upscale, large sites, beautiful pools and facilities. We were here past season so we had the pool area to ourselves! Nice landscaping for the desert. Staff not particularly friendly when we checked in, but people we spoke to later were more engaging. Laundry is very clean and new. Enjoyed our stay immensely. We would return. Nice new park with great facilities. A kind of hybrid park with RV, Park Model and Houses on the lots. Lots for sale. We were just looking for overnight but decided to unhook the toad and back in because this place looked so nice and it was. Would be nice if they had some pull throughs but they seem to be going after the longer term market. Nice grounds, top notch facilities. Internet worked well. Nice big dog park with grass and shade trees. We'd come back here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is an upscale gated RV community with individual lots for sale. Some lots have very nice Arizona Rooms. The sites are primarily level, gravel with cement patios which will accommodate any size rig. Very good electric and water pressure. Some lots also have cement slabs for parking your rig. Very nice spa and pool area with other nice amenities. During the season they have shows headlining well known celebrities. Since we were here during the "off" season the park was basically empty except for a few hangers on. The price per night reflects the off-season rate. We would definitely stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed in site 407 which was very close to the activity center. The park is new and well maintained. The site was large and immaculate: gravel with a large concrete patio. The security guard provided assistance in getting parked. All types of activities are available during peak season. The $20 per night rate included all utilities and was much more reasonable than other Yuma parks we had researched. Despite being in Yuma for dental work, we thoroughly enjoyed the pool and hot tub and shuffleboard courts. Only negative is noise from numerous aircraft flyovers and nearby trains. We would return to this park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

The facility is first class, clean, and well maintained. There are lots of activities and entertainment. See web site. Our favorite was the Saturday burger bash where for $2.50 you get a burger, drink, and entertainment. We have not been RVing for long so consider this a newbie post. There are lots for sale with stick built villas that are tastefully done and the pricing surprised me in a good way. These appeared to be about 650 sf with a nice layout. Negative is there is construction going on in certain areas but this did not bother us. Check in was average taking about 30 minutes. We arrived just after lunch and had several in line ahead of us. The lot owners seem to have more privileges but are friendly and have a good time. We plan to go back and stay 3 months next January. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The best new RV park in Yuma. Not filled with oldsters and a good feeling crowd. Only three problems at this time. 1) There are owners in here and they basically think that there is a separate set of rules for them and for renters. It is evident in everything and it becomes a constant reminder for renters that they are lacking privileges. Also, there is a group of American and Canadian volunteers known as "The Poco Loco's" and they too also feel that they have special priority and privileges because they work here. (Canadians are not supposed to work in the US anyway.) The belief seems to be that because they do the menial, mundane jobs for the park that they are special. Once again, it is a constant reminder that as a non-Poco Loco renter, you are substandard and not as good. There is also a lot of pressure to become a Poco Loco because the existing members are tired and fed up with working all the time. The second issue is that because they are selling a lot of lots for stick-built homes, the construction is ongoing. Some folks who were on a lot, were besieged by construction crews, noise, dust and crowded streets. They got completely sick of the noise beginning at 6am. They asked to be moved within the park and were charged a move fee. Beware! You may be on a lot that is bordered by RV lots but it may become a stick-built construction zone at any time. If this occurs, you will either have to tolerate the noise, dust and traffic, or relocate with a move-fee. This place calls itself "The Palms RV Resort" but with the amount of building going on, it won't be an "RV" resort for long. It will become just like all the other Yuma parks: a sea of shanty town like park models and homes. Perhaps it's time for Yuma to get a "real" RV Resort and NOT a stick-built, park-modeled shantytown. What's wrong with just RV's? We will not return here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Park has large lots. All lots are for sale, and way overpriced. If you like construction noise 7am to whenever six days a week; cold swimming pools, loud music, and barking dogs then this is the place for you. Very rude drivers going way over 10 mph speed limit. Park needs some speed bumps and supervision. No activities for the in-park residents, all are open to public also. Main priority here is to sell lots. Have traveled coast to coast: there are better parks for less money. We camped here in a Motorhome.

The Palms is the best park we ever visited. My wife would give it a 12 but 10 is the maximum. Staff is extremely friendly. The park enters its third season but everything looks brand new. Restrooms are excellent as are the two large pools and the two large jacuzzi`s. Roads are very wide. It is a typical snowbird park, and people were just coming in the second half of October. We intended to stay 3 nights but extended to 4 and later to 6 nights. There are numerous activities during the season, and we were unhappy to leave. And not to forget the hamburger-party free of charge on the day we arrived. We would surely return but it is (perhaps) too far from Houston (TX). We camped here in a Motorhome.

I rarely rate any resort a 10: but this is definitely worth it. This is a new resort, only open 2 or 3 years. We saw a highway billboard, and decided to check it out. The lots are for sale and many are large enough for a small house along with the RV. Rather than describing it, check the website. The place is awesome. Even better, we checked in about 11 AM and it happened to be "hamburger day" for residents and guests, so we got free lunch! We are considering a couple of months at The Palms in the winter. The map on this site is a little off, but I cannot figure out how to change it. Go by the map on the resort website. We will be back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Snow birds have all gone. The park is almost empty and there are no activities. The pools are open and you can play tennis or shuffleboard. Library and card room are open and very nicely equipped. You are allowed to wash your rig on Tuesdays or have it done by a service. I really appreciate being ably to wash my rig on site and that is one reason I gave it a 10 rating. Even if the resort was full, I think it would seem fairly roomy as it is well laid out and the sites are not too crammed in together. No shade but that's OK. After our last stop in New Mexico, we are still trying to get the leaf debris out of the nooks and crannies due to a shedding tree. (Will be here two weeks as our fridge conked out, getting it fixed, also some dental work in Los Algodones). At the moment they have a weekly special of $100 for 7 days, which is a great deal. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is one of the finest parks we have stayed at. The facilities are awesome. A large pool for swimming laps and a second large pool for others. They have billiards, shuffleboard, library with computers, card room, etc, etc. Staff are friendly. Activities include dances and pool party. Sites are spacious. As it is a new park the trees are small. We will be back in the future for one of the best bargains around. The sites are away from the highway which is a general problem in Yuma. Wi-Fi was spotty at the site but excellent in the pool complex. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

Sites weren't level and were quite small. There was construction taking place as people were building houses within the park. This was a problem as they started early morning. Dogs were barking however that is the fault of the dog owners, not the park itself. Even though they advertise free Wi-Fi, we could only get it by sitting in our car at the main building. Our site was not very far away from the main building and when we asked why the Wi-Fi didn't work there, they suggested that what most people do is sit in their car, for privacy, by the main building. Obviously this is a known problem and was a huge irritant to us as that is how we keep in touch with family. It was a gated community and you had to scan a card when you wanted to enter. The security people manning the front gate were very pleasant and always greeted you warming when you arrived back. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We booked in to this park for a 4 month stay, but ended up leaving after three months, due to the extensive construction going on adjacent to our site. This is a very nice facility, with excellent amenities, but the park was designed to be a park model only resort and not an RV resort. As such the priority of the management is to sell lots and park models, not to cater to the needs of the renting guests. The office is totally disorganized and does not operate as a normal RV park. A request to move to an OPEN site by ourselves and others to avoid noisy park construction or the incessant wind was responded to consistently with a "the park is full" comment, even though this was clearly not the case. This lack of desire in trying to please the renting guests was unfortunate and since many of these renters were potential buyers, poor business practice. In summation,a pleasant park but with a disorganized and sales focused management , so renter beware. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stayed here for a month and it was absolutely the best RV resort we have ever visited. I read another review that was not very complimentary and couldn't see how the comments could have related to the Palms. Everything is new and of the best quality; very large swimming pools, great exercise and billiard rooms, wide streets and large lots. The resort is located south of 32nd street so it is very quiet. All of the resort personnel were very friendly and helpful. Great place for an extended stay with no snow. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

A brand new top of the line resort being developed in Yuma. It has wonderful facilities in place including a great pool, activity center, putting green, hot tubs, and so on. It has top notch roads and has a great green belt around the property where dog walking is allowed. This is the end of the good news. Now the bad. Worst office I have ever seen. There is one person who handles check ins. They do everything in huge ledger books. To take payment they write your credit card information down on scrap paper and tell you they will process it sometime later, that is really secure. Check in literally took us 30 minutes. We were supposed to stay for two months but we arrived a day early and they put us in the overnight section. The next day we learned our site was going to be along a row where they had not completed the security and privacy fence. When the daily, incessant wind blows, there is a dirt field on the other side of the non-existent fence and it becomes a dust tunnel directly into the site they assigned us. There are only five sites total that are located along this fence gap and the park was less than 20% occupied, yet they told us we could not move. This was after another 45 minute wait in line for a guest in front of us to check in. It was that site or the highway, we chose the highway. The park has no grass with the exception on the greenbelt around the park, the rest is desert gravel. The park is being developed as a high end ownership park and there are several very high end sites and coaches and custom park models. Unfortunately they must be having some occupancy problems because they also have allowed park models that look like FEMA refugee trailers. All in all, pass on the Palms RV Resort, you won't be missing anything. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Nice park, noise from Marine Corps air field nearby. Air traffic noise quits at 9:00pm. No noise from aircraft on weekend. 55+ park. Many sites are small single wide spaces. Stayed thee nights, would go back. Very clean. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Nice place, stopped for the 30% off 4 day special and ended up staying over a month. If you play golf it is right here. Cafe was OK, fish fry pretty darn good, nice little bar looking over golf course, pool nice bathrooms laundry all good. Great Fry's Food just down street. Some noise from freeway but if bedroom slide had not faced it probably wouldn't notice it. We camped here in a Motorhome.

My wife and I just read the reviews about Westwind RV and Golf Resort, and found some of them totally absurd. Of course, there's no accounting for taste, or personal preference, and as such, people are allowed to think what they want. But in my opinion, this Resort sits on top when it comes to superb facilities and activities, especially after the change in management (which took place January 1, 2012). We have come to this Resort on and off for quite a few years, and my personal feeling is that the previous management had absolutely no people skills, and there's no doubt in my mind that they let the Resort go "down hill." We (as visitors), as well as the folks who own Park Models here, had a lot of issues with what was going on, and that is in spite of an outstanding staff, who (again, in my opinion) are a most friendly and personable lot, who, when needed, are more than happy to go beyond the call of duty. Be that as it may. Thank goodness, the owner hired a new "people oriented" management couple with a vision for the future, and because of that, the Resort has taken a 180 degree for the better, and I predict that by next season it'll certainly be a FIVE STAR RESORT once again. Things are happening: Flowers are planted. Fountains are working. The Golf Course has never been greener, and repairs (from broken curbs to landscaping) are being attended to. To top it off, a much needed street replacement will be done this summer, and there's even talk about some very interesting improvements to the Ballroom, Cafe, and Golf Pro Shop. Here we are at the end of this season, and we can hardly wait to come back next Fall. What does that tell you? It tells you that we love Westwind RV and Golf Resort enough to stake a claim in it. We sold our 5th Wheel trailer, and bought a Park Model here, and we are very proud to be part of this fine facility. What it all boils down to is this. Read the reviews, but judge for yourself. I suggest you come and visit. Have a cup of coffee in the Cactus Cafe, or a drink at Cheers Bar. Play billiards, or take a dip in our fabulous pool, or let the jets massage your worries away in the biggest Jacuzzi around. Play all kinds of games, or let your hands and imagination go wild in the Lapidary or Ceramics shops. The possibilities are endless, and if you have nothing better to do, chase those white balls around our very challenging 9 hole golf course. It's simply wonderful! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Rules, rules and more ridiculous rules and lots of picky people to whine about anyone violating a rule. There is only one entrance & exit to the park. Could be a major disaster if there is a gas leak in the park but every day it is a disaster trying to get out of the park for sightseeing or shopping, etc. The cafe onsite is horrible. The burgers - where's the beef? They are full of filler (sawdust maybe?) The breakfasts are not too bad but they don't cook it "your way". You get what they want to make. Soda costs $1.95 for 22oz. but most of that is ice. At a Friday night dance the same soda is $1.25. Go figure. They tell you on the website that the site rental rate does not include electricity. What they don't tell you is, that it also doesn't include trash, water and sewer which comes to about $30.00/month extra. One of the many amenities/activities listed is lapidary, but there were so many people already participating, we were not welcome to participate. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

For the last 7 years we have stayed at Westwind RV for the winter. We both enjoy it very much. We had a change of management this season and so many improvements have been done, it is great to see some vision. The office staff is very good and very helpful. The people in the park make it a great place to be. Thank you Westwind for all the fun each winter! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This would be a great camp for full or long term campers but if only staying a week or a few nights and internet access is important to you, then give this place a pass. They advertise park wide Wi-Fi but there is in fact no access anytime of the night or day nor is there a hotspot. The excuse they give is people using skype, but in fact they just don't have enough band coverage. Full timers are advised to purchase a private internet pkg. So that shows its an ongoing problem. Staff and all the campers were very friendly and welcoming. And one frustrating issue that is no fault of the resort, be aware that your GPS may not take you to the correct address. This is the worst park in Yuma. Over priced, heavy with rules and hidden charges. At check out time you find out about a charge of 30.00 for garbage and water, the garbage is self serve and always full. The water is salty and undrinkable. There is also a charge of 10.00 for them to read your meter and a added charge of 10 kilowatt hours if the read the meter the day before you leave. Anybody can do better at any other park. BEWARE We camped here in a Motorhome.

Many improvements to this park and under new management (Friendly). The facilities upgrades are wounderful, Pool & Hot tube have recently been resurfaced and the Pool deck was completely redone. The Golf coarse looks great. the Ballroom has had a major face lift. We would stay here again when in Yuma. We camped here in a Motorhome.

I would like to be able to review this park but after attempts to contact them with questions through email and telephone messages and after receiving no response to either, I made reservations at another resort instead. In my opinion, if a resort cannot take the time to respond to a customers query by email or phone then they don't want or don't need the business. This type of inattention certainly makes me suspect as to the type of service and care taken of the park overall. They lost this customer. "We did not stay in this park". Classed as a 5 star resort but should be a 2 at best. Run by bad attitude workampers. For $700 a month in February we expected better. The restaurant only serves a special in the evening,no menu to choose from. We noted many Canadians. Would not recommend this place, There are lots of nicer parks in Yuma, and a lot cheaper. Under New Management! Well as some of you may know in the winter months we travel to different locations in the country and Workamper at RV parks. This winter we have been at a large RV Park 1075 sites in Arizona. When we arrived the managing couple had a tight fist on the reigns and had been in control for several years. The wife was in charge and had many issues. Her biggest issue was she was a total control freak, so much so that her husband was her yes man (yes dear). She had a hard time treating him or anyone in the park nicely. She did not like pets and therefore was very unaccommodating to those traveling with pets, once the pet section filled up we had to turn people away even though there were about 150 open sites many near the pet section. They gave the resignation and had set a May 1st date as their departure, New managers in training were hired by the owner and arrived mid February. The Manager would not let them have keys, would not show them a lot of things about the park or its operation. Every one working for the park thought there was some funny things going on with the books. Then late one night the manager turned off the security cameras and was caught shredding documents! Well when the owner heard about this that was the end of the old manager. Late the next day the new management had to serve an eviction notice to the old management. The new management held meetings and trusted the workampers and even asked for our help and suggestions. This continued right down to the annual residents and the guests. This park is a whole new place. Before the management change we were planning an early exit from this park, now we are planning on staying till our contract is up and have been asked back which we thought about. We wound up declining to return next winter as there is not enough attraction photographically to the area. We camped here in a Motorhome.
