The COE Van Buren Recreation Area is currently under long term lease to the community of Fairfield Bay. This rustic park sits on the northwest shore of Greers Ferry Lake. Interior roads of the campground are rough. Many of the sites would be challenging to level in. E/W/Wi-Fi is good in loop D. The only bathhouse is located about 3/4 mile from the D loop at the entrance to the campground. Some sites are lakeside, with most having a view of the lake. A small swimming area is adjacent to the camping, as well as a nearby marina where boats can be rented. We have camped here twice, there never being more than 3 or 4 others in the loop during our stay. The $8 per night fee is a year long special to draw new campers to the campground. We would hesitate to pay more that twice that until infrastructure improvements were made. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
