This is a fairly new campground located on the White River. It is on the Flippen side of the bridge located between Flippin and Cotter on Highway 62/412. Long and level pull through sites which can accommodate any size RV. The only draw back is no cable TV and sewers are located only on two sites, all other sites are 50/30 amp electric and water only. This is a very good campground to stay at while site seeing in the Mountain Home area. . We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This park has recently changed ownership (and name from Cedar Hollow to Heart O' the Ozarks) and the PA advertised price of $9.25 is not honored. Their new PA one-night only price is $12.50. This campground evidently has a very bad reputation to overcome (as the owners can attest). Some elderly local residents try to dissuade us as we were pulling in, but being dusk we decided to give it a try. Glad we did. There is a lot of work and money going into this facility. The store, pool, and game room/movie room are beautiful. The air-conditioned bathrooms were immaculate and tiled from floor to ceiling. The CG itself is now very clean and trimmed. The CG roads have been repaired and were plenty wide for our 29' MH with Ford Ranger in tow. However, the sites are right on top of each other and leveling the RV was a challenge. There are only 3 pull-through spots, but they are actually designated as 6 back-to-back spots. When they are vacant, they will allow you to use as a pull-through. The future plans for this CG sound very promising (new cabins and pavilion) and we wish the best of luck to the friendly new owners. This is definitely worth a look and a great value at the PA price. We camped here in a Motorhome.
