This is a very large campground. The water electric sites, which are in two of the loops, are in a more open area on top of the hill. Most of the other sites, the ones in the woods, are electric only. The park was very clean. Some of the bath houses looked brand new. It appears as though the park has seen some recent upgrades, some of which are not quite complete. The swimming area is a man-made beach with sand over some pavement. It is difficult to walk down to the water from some of the sites. However, the steep walk is worth the effort as the water is crystal clear! The swimming area was almost like being in a pool. (I don’t know where the previous reviewer got 47 sites from. There are something like 269 sites in this park. Only 156 have electricity. Maybe there are only 47 with water also. Some of the sites are tent sites as well.) We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
We had a wonderful time! Greer's Ferry Lake is beautiful. We were in complete shade at our site. The rangers kept the noise down after 10 O'clock. The bathrooms were clean, and the boat ramps are very accessable! We camped here in a Tent.

This campground is on gorgeous Beaver Lake in northern Arkansas. The water is clear and the scenery is beautiful. The roads are paved and the campsites are on the water. However, there are no flush toilets and the showers are pitiful. The campsites are nice with covered picnic tables. But honestly, why no flush toilets? It could be an extremely nice place to camp. But we opted to stay in a motel in Eureka Springs next time. We camped here in a Tent Trailer.
Just Beautiful! Large treed sites provide elbow room and privacy. My only gripe would be
that the paved parking pads in Loop D were not leveled off. They followed the "lay of the land." We camped here in a Motorhome.

We stay here many times in the summer. Area D is best but reservations have to be made well in advance to get on the water. Site D11 is not on the water, but is one of our favorite sites. Long drive way for boats or extra cars. Most sites are shady and level. Beautiful Lake!!! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Camping in section "D" is the best. Large shade trees all over and a lot of space between each site. There is a playground for the kids. There is river fishing and steps that lead to the river. This is one of the nicest cg we have stayed at. Will be there several times a year. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is one of the best CG we have stayed at. Not all have water hookups and none have sewer (only dump station), but what a BEAUTIFUL CG. Section D is where we like to camp with trails that lead to the Little Red river for fun trout fishing. There are so many trees that it is hard to pick up sat and their local stations also, but so what. The fish hatchery is there also as well as the mountain and the dam. The people are very friendly. We camped here in a Motorhome.
We love this place!!!! It is a Corp of Engineer campground so you can find it on
ReserveUSA. The sites are large and private, especially up in D Section. The bathrooms are always clean. Trout fishing is great. We go back year after year.

Very nice place for fishing! The world record brown trout was caught near here. It can be a little tricky getting into some of the spots. The spots are close together back ins. Be careful pulling down to the trout docks with a big rig. you will end up backing out, no room to turn around. We will be back! We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Some might not give this a 10 because you need to make your own fun (fishing). If you get a spot here it will be on a bank overlooking the Little Red River, a good trout stream. You can access this for wading right from your site or rent a boat and motor from the resort. Many cable channels available and you can get a wi-fi signal from the fly shop adjacent to the resort. They know and they don't mind. Be sure to be on your own side of the river if they start to generate power at the dam. You'll know by the incresed flow. Bring your own beer, it's a dry county! We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
Our site overlooks the Little Red River. Big beautiful spaces. Only downfall is the lack of internet and phone hook up. Loved it. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
