We were planning to stay at the gravel lot in downtown, then discovered this place. And, we’re glad we did. It’s a peaceful, roomy place that’s an easy 20 minutes from downtown. The park is gorgeous with spacious sites. Each has a picnic table, several are covered. Lots of trees, but there are some sites that appear to be satellite friendly. Park staff was friendly and helpful. And, yes, you can dump your gray water. We’ve never seen that before! The road to the park is a bit tricky, but manageable. We’ll definitely be back. Easy access, we stayed on the river site at 11a and we loved it. Good cell phone reception. Staff very friendly. We were there due to a family member in the UAMS Hospital. Easy access to the hospital with lots of stores nearby. No laundry on site, but one is close by. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

We liked this campground very much, and will return if in the area. It was unfortunate that we had solid rain for the entire 4 days, but the campground itself held up well, considering. We parked in the "B" loop, on the waterfront. We expected to kayak and bike, and it would have been a perfect site if we could have done so. There are a number of sites back in the woods ("E" loop?) which are really secluded and scenic. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This place has standing water in campsites, standing water on the recreation areas and field, and their showers are a real sad joke. Not only is there standing water when you shower, but there are all kinds of creatures in the bathrooms. Army Corps of Engineers, yeah right... This place looks as if it were designed by sixth graders. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Typically good COE campground. Only complaints were narrow road leading to the CG and we had a hard time leveling. We stayed at the senior citizen rate. Definitely will return. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful park on the Arkansas River. The road was paved and the sites were on concrete pads bordered by a large area for the picnic table. The sites were large and well spaced with lush green grass around them. Our satellite is fixed to the roof and we had no trouble finding a signal. The rate was the 1/2 price rate for Golden Age Passport holders. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is so relaxing, its on the river, nice trails to walk on and friendly people running the park. People staying here really like this park. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a busy campground that appears to be managed mostly by work campers. We rarely saw a ranger or other Corp of Engineers employees. The water front sites in A loop are very nice with lots of space between sites. The rest of the sites are closer but very adequate. It's a big rig friendly place with deep sites. There are lots of trees here so you may need a portable dish if you want satellite reception. Most of the sites are paved and level. The showers and restrooms are older and were not terribly clean when we were there. When the campground is full, the smallish trash containers overflow before they are emptied each Friday. We observed a host compacting the trash with a backhoe to try to make some room. The strangest thing about this campground is they allow the dumping of grey water at your site! I have never seen that at any campground before. The host told me that it had something to do with the fact they they were next to the river so ground water wasn't an issue. Lots of people were doing it. Yuck! It's a pretty place to stay so we enjoyed time here. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a beautiful, spacious and well kept park located on the Arkansas River. Just driving into the park takes your breath away. Huge trees provide shade on almost every site. 50 amp and water hookups at each site; dump stations available in the park; no cable TV (you won't miss it), and picnic table with fire pit at almost every site. In the past 5 weeks, we have stayed at more than a dozen parks - Maumelle gets the blue ribbon. We would definitely stay here again and again. We camped here for two days. We enjoyed this campground. We were in the A loop on a water site and there was lots of room between sites. The price reflects using the Golden passport. We would definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Lots of shade on most sites. Very level, paved pads and roads. This campground is very large and actually consists of about 5 different loops. This is a great park for walking. Shopping and restaurant area of West Little Rock is about 10 minutes away. Two out of the three dump stations in the park were open. During the day, there is a lot of activity around the pavilions and playground areas. The "A" loop is very shaded and nice. "B" sites in the loop from about B14 to B28 are not as shaded and the pull throughs are a little crowded. Several of the sites in "D" section share a Y shaped parking pad which puts you real close to your neighbor which might be OK if you are camping with friends or family. We stayed on B03 and found it to be perfectly level and long enough to park the truck completely out of the road. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice COE park in a beautiful setting right on the Arkansas River. The sites are spacious and level and several of the sites have picnic tables under roof. Unfortunately, the management of this park does not live up to the standards of other COE campgrounds. When we arrived we asked the lady at the ranger station where our site was located. Her comment was "haven't you ever been here before?" After getting hooked up we noticed that the water pressure was very low. We said something about it and were told that happens sometimes (no explanation). Then in the evening the pressure dropped to a trickle and there were no rangers or office staff to be found. The next morning a ranger finally came around and his explanation was "yeah, we don't know why that happens sometimes". As you can imagine the toilets had all overflowed and by mid-morning, when we left, nothing had been done about either the water pressure or the toilets. If you plan on camping here, ask about the water pressure and find out how you can contact someone in the event of a problem. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This was a beautiful park. We were camped in A1. It is across from two playgrounds, which our kids loved, well-shaded, and still with a river view. All of the sites were level, most were shaded and as other reviewers have noted, there was ample space between sites. They have several dump stations and the park is very well-maintained. We will definitely stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.

For the price of $18, this is one of the nicest parks I have ever stayed in. Beautiful river view, with lots of grass and space between campsites. Sites with the best view only have 30 amp electric and water; however, they were adding many 50 amp sites with river view at my last visit. Staff have always been friendly to me and I visit often since I only live 40 minutes away. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a great park. They take the Golden Passport. Sites are concrete. Lots of room around the sites. Very quite. Host are very nice, talked to Bobbie. Water is good. They do not have cable, WiFi, or sewer. Lots of trees so depending on the site you get you may or may not be able to get satellite. The Arkansas River runs on the northeast side of the park. Has a boat launch ramp. I love the wide open areas around the campsites. I will stay here again anytime I stay in the Little Rock area. This campground would be rated a 10 if it had sewer, WiFi and cable. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Clean, well-maintained park. Beautiful. Easy access to Little Rock. Even with our bedrooms windows open there was little, if any, noise at night. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Directions and signage to campground was limited and needs improvement. Office friendly but a little slow. Access roads good and wide with trees well cut back. A good mixture of sites available -some on water front and others in trees. Sites mainly back-in's but a few pull-thrus. Sites are level with electricity (50amp or 30amp) and water. Excellent space between sites and all have table and campfire ring. There are three dump stations within the campground. A good location to explore Little Rock. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Every time we go to Little Rock, this is where we camp. We board our dog at with a great veterinarian on the road to the campground which gives us free time to visit all the sights in Little Rock without having to worry about taking care of our pet. The campsites are level, clean and the facilities are well kept. Great place to walk after eating dinner or early in the morning. The only problem we had was with sand fleas when walking in some of the areas. We camped here in a Truck Camper.

This has to be one of the best Corps parks we have been in. Price is right and they accept "Golden Passport". If you do not have one and qualify, they will even sign you up. Very pretty area, access road narrow but safe with a large wide-body 5th wheel, just be cautious when meeting traffic. Interior roads very nice black-top with level concrete sites with cement patios and picnic tables. Huge trees that have been trimmed up so large open areas under provide long views. Sites are very wide spaced providing privacy. Some sites back up to the rivers edge but others off water have great views of barge traffic passing along the river as well. We met up with other friends stayed almost a week and will return again when in the area. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This park is typical of COE facilities. It was clean, well maintained and well designed. Cell phone reception was adequate. The park is close to great hiking, fishing, shopping and Little Rock. The park was quiet and sites were level. The staff was friendly and cooperative. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

In a word, “wow!” We decided to try this park while passing through the Little Rock area. I think this is probably the most well maintained US Corps Park that we have ever visited. This is despite the fact that the sites only had water and electric hook-ups. The sites are fairly well spaced. The park has tall trees and there is no undergrowth to provide much privacy. Much of the campground has well manicured grass. There are five loops. For our single night stay, we lucked up and got a site right on the water. The site has the usual Corps amenities, such as a gravel area with a picnic table. Our neighbors to each side were about 100 feet and 150 feet away. We were even able to get satellite TV through the tall trees. The park is also very quiet. If ever visiting this area again, we would definitely consider this park. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Very clean with lots of shade. It's about 10 or 12 minutes from I-430. A wonderful park to overnight in, or spend a week or so. We camped here in a Motorhome.

COE park. One of the best Corps parks I've seen. Lots of large trees, and most sites have some shade. Most sites I saw were open enough for slideouts. A great place to spend a night or two weeks. We camped here in a Motorhome.

Very good and friendly COE park. Located about five miles north of I-430 off of Hwy. 10 in west Little Rock. Very shady and quiet. About three miles off Hgw. 10 on Pinnacle Valley Road. Located right on the Arkansas river. We camped here in a Motorhome.
