Came in after they had closed. We had a reservation but there were no directions left to tell us were to go. Park was pretty empty so did not think finding a site would be difficult. Turned out we had to try a couple different sites before we found one that the trees were trimmed up high enough which was hard to do in the dark. The exit is very tight but manageable. The park feels run down and neglected. Pool looked like it had never been opened for the year. We will pass on this one next time. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

This is not a destination campground but one suited to an overnight stay. There is some noise from I-40 so if that bothers you look for another campground. This is our second time to stay here and we find it convenient to get in and out of and it is also close to a Love's fuel stop. It suits our needs for an overnight stay. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.

Site was very unlevel. Never could jack up the front enough to be level. We made reservations 3 months in advance. Friends with us were promised side by side with us. When we checked in there were only two sites available. Not next to each other as promised. Sites are very close together. Our slide was over our neighbor's picnic table. I-40 road noise was horrible (that's not the campground's fault I know). We were there for the Petit Jean car show. We could not find anything else available at the time. We camped here in a Motorhome.

A beautiful and quiet campground. Our site was right across the street from the lake and small airport, you could watch the planes take off and land without being disturbed by the noise. Large open area lots, with easy access to all Petit Jean State Park had to offer. Would definitely camp here again! We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is a wonderful state park. It is located on top of Petit Jean Mountain. We camped in Loop A which has full hook-ups. There is a concrete pad with a picnic table, fire ring, grill and lantern holder. There is also another pad for a tent or dining fly. Loop A sits among tall pines with a view of Lake Bailey. All of the sites are good and spacious. The restrooms were clean and had handicap facilities. We checked out the other areas and they were a little tighter but still very nice. There is no camp store but there is a little carryout down the street with basic food supplies. There are many hiking trails with gorgeous views of the water falls. I would definitely return. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.

We stayed in area "A", which has been recently renovated. The sites were spaced away from each other and each has a table, fire ring, grill hanging pole for lantern and a grill! A pad for a tent is also included! Pull through sites are paved and area around tables is gravel. The restrooms are very clean, but we did not use them. Internet is available nearby at the Lodge. The park has many hiking trails and wonderful views from the mountain. If you have time go to the Rockefeller Institute which is only a couple of miles away. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
