I give Norseman a high mark because, despite the lack of facilities, it has an incredible location, a wonderful host, and is dirt cheap. The host has owned the property since 1985, is well past retirement age, and loves what he's doing. He even took 6 guests out on a boat tour one of the 3 evenings we spent there, at no charge. The Internet connection is extremely poor, to the point that he probably shouldn't advertise it or charge for it, but I only paid $5 for the 3 days and probably got that much value out of it. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This small RV park is located on a marina and has one of the best views anywhere as it has a panoramic view of Atlin Lake and the surrounding mountains. It is within walking distance of the historic gold rush town of Atlin. Site was a level gravel pull up or back-in with power (15 amp) and water only. There are a few sites with 30 amp power. No dump station on site. The only place with an RV dump is on the Discovery road 3 miles from town. No showers and a portable toilet only. Showers are available at Caribou Laundry. Only TV was local CBC channel off the antenna. Wi-Fi available for $5 a day which I didn’t use so can’t comment on its status. Overall rating for park a 6 due to lack of facilities, but the view was a definite 10. We camped here in a Motorhome.
This is a forested boondocking campground run by the town, with fees paid on the honour system at any business in Atlin. Access is tight even with our 31-foot Class A, due to overhanging and encroaching trees - best for small RVs. Lovely and very quiet campground, though. Outhouse toilets are very clean.
