Very beautiful resort. Has very nice hot tub and very nice washrooms/showers. The beach however is awful. There is mostly grass and its all covered in goose droppings. And the swimming area, well lets just say: there was none. The whole campground water is surrounded in weeds that are sticking out of the water even at the very end of the boat marina (over 12 feet deep there). We walked into the water only to get a leech on our foot within 20 seconds. We actually had to drive to the old provincial campground half way around the lake to get decent swimming in. Would never stay here again. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Extremely beautiful location right on the lake, nice folks running it and very friendly. Beautiful lodge and hot tub. Lots of area to run around and a play area for the kids, great area to run the dog. Wi-Fi would have been great but no big deal. Great fishing in the lake. You can rent canoe's for $15.00 an hour which seems like a bit of a cash grab seeing as they were old and likely paid for 5 times over at that rate. Store near by and access to horse back riding in the area, very well kept and large property. Licensed lodge with kitchen. We camped here in a Travel Trailer.
Very good family resort on Canim Lake. We were two units on the lake shore. Owners very friendly. Very busy in July and August, should reserve. Lots of shade and grass. I don't fish but apparently the fishing is great. They have boat and canoe rentals. Gravel and grass sites. All but one of the lake shore sites are level. The site we were in was about 12" difference from front to back. A bit tight for large units. We are 37' 5'vr. Owner asked about length when we booked and she reserved sites we could fit in. Overall we found it easy in and out. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
