You have to check this place out! Nestled between the mountain ranges with Rockies on both sides it is awe inspiring. Immaculate washrooms and facilities. No sewer at the sites, but dump station is close to the RV area. Pull through sites are HUGE. Yes, the mosquitoes could be a little annoying, but come prepared for it. Many trails and forest service roads in the area to get you off the beaten path. Some go to the top of the mountains including Mount 7. There is a local hang and para glider jump point with views overlooking the RV park and valley. Hats off to the park. They know how to make you feel welcome and accommodated. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel.
This was a great campground with excellent washrooms, toilets and laundromat. Not the fault of the campground, but the mosquitoes were horrendous! We only stayed one night as a stopover, but would certainly recommend it. Wi-Fi didn't work on our site, but did use it in the office on our laptop. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Access to the park is good, large open roads. The RV sites are in the woods, but the roads and sites are navigatable. Sites have lots of elbow room. They have 400 acres of meadows to explore, hike and bike. Beautiful location, Wi-Fi worked well, very clean wash house, friendly and helpful staff. Only negative here is the lack of sewer hook-ups at the sites. We'd definitely stay again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
Located outside Golden. Signage to campground good. Limited place to park and register. Office staff friendly and efficient. Gravel access roads which needed some maintenance and were slightly narrow for big rigs. Pull-through sites in woods which were large and flat. Only water and electricity. No ambience. The campground was a side line for the para-gliding business. We camped here in a Motorhome.
