Beautiful campground situated on Summit Lake adjacent to the Alaska Highway. Great views - lake and mountains. It can be windy. Lots of wildlife in the area including Caribou and Stone's Sheep (about a 5 minute drive traveling West from the campground. Look for the Sheep on the cliffs as you go down the hill. Great hiking from the campground. The Flower Springs Lake Trail is an easy hike and well worth the effort. Summit Peak trail is also a great hike but more difficult. Watch for Lynx if you do this hike. Day use area. Composting toilet. Friendly and helpful campground hosts. Kayaking or canoeing on the lake is a great option. The site is exposed (no trees). Lots of level sites available. We would stay here again. We camped here in a Motorhome.
