I reviewed this park in 2010 and gave it a 3. We enjoyed it more this time and have upped the rating to a 5. Some people will rate this park much higher. Some lower. It is a very quiet park with lots of mature Oak trees. There are nice white ranch type fences. There is a very good view to the west with good sunsets over the mountains. The utilities are very good. But this is also basically a sandy dirt area that is not level. There are also cows and bulls roaming free. Some of the animals have learned to turn the water on. When they do this water can run for a long time as there is nearly no one in this campground. Therefore, there are gullies downhill from the water outlets. And lots of other gullies from natural runoff. The spaces are huge. We stayed here in a group of 10 coaches. We were in the "new" section. It was almost empty. In the "old" section right next to us were about 100 semi permanent RVs. The day that we left one of the semi permanent residents got into an argument with another and then shot gunned the guy he was arguing with. We were not affected by this incident but it was close to where we were. We missed this activity by a couple of hours. It happened in mid day. Right down the street is a HUGE casino. Very modern and very well visited. Good food. We camped here in a Motorhome.

We went here with our local RV club. This is an older private RV park that has been bought by the casino down the street. You have to camp here in a group. The park is funky. By that I mean in a state of disrepair. The trash is picked up. The clubhouse was clean. But unless you really want to stay in this area or like going to casinos this is not the best choice for a park. Don't forget this is a group only place. You need to call ahead and you need to be a group. We camped here in a Motorhome.

This is owned and operated by the Viejas Tribe of Native Americans, and is a couple of miles down the road from their ultra modern casino and discount shopping mall. This is an much wilderness as one would want. Although the road is in nicely paved, once inside the "park" it changes to dirt. The spaces, although well marked on the map you are given at the registration/security check, they are obscured by dirt/brush/shrubs in reality. This place is not dirty, but it is not paved or graveled either. We asked about an RV park at the casino, and were referred to a private park (not at all nice) a bit further down the road. But, the folks at the casino "club" desk did not even know about this park. We like more civilized places, but this would appeal to folks, particularly since the competition is so much more money! We camped here in a Motorhome.
